<img src="https://activerain.com/image_store/uploads/7/6/2/9/7/ar124454829379267.gif" style="float: left;">
Hey Folks!
Well been a long time. Back in April of 2008 I had to take a break due to breaking my arm. Well this April I had another accident. This time it took a little longer to recover. Same arm, more problems. Now while recovery has taken a bit longer than last year I’m now back to a point that I can type.
Were better to start then a video of the day? Just came across this gem. Beware when starting your computer. Enjoy:
<embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/AYsq4fqbMG8&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1&amp;"></embed>
Hope it gave you some laughs. Now it’s time to get back to work. When your looking to get some mortgage rates and quotes Amerisave lets you shop without using a SS# so just go to www.amerisavebank.com to see them for yourself.
Give me a email or call with any questions and have a great day.
Tony

Yes folks today is the day. We are here to help and now you can get a rock bottom fee but must act fast. For Today April 1, April Fools Day!
Now for the details. Like many pranks that will happen today it is just a tease. But this tease while bizzare is not unlike many that your clients (and maybe yourself) is confronted with on a daily basis.
Todays rates are great. We at Amerisave have low fees and we back everything in writing with a $500 gurarantee. But Folks don't get fooled again (reminds me of a Who song). If someone offers something to good to be true it's not. When shopping for a mortgage I've discovered that at the end of the day everyone is within a 1/8 on rate and $500 in fees. When the case the client decides who they feel will do the best job. When someone is much lower I have discoved that mortgage is underwritten by the bank of fantsyland and never funds.
When looking for a new or refinanced mortgage shop around and get everything in writting.
Folks, have a great day and don't get fooled.
Kind regards,Tony

Hey Folks!
Not a sad day but a day for celebration. Paul Harvey, one of the best know voices and legend in radio died today. He was 90.
Many of us have grown up listening to Mr. Harvey's unique radio and voice style. Was know for writing two different columns a day.
Paul Harvey is best known for recanting live stories only for the audience to discover who the person was at the end of the story with the now famous sign off of "Now you know the rest of the story"
So today, Paul Jr. and the rest of the family and close friends I say we are not here to ask why. We are here to say thank you for all of those wonderful stories and to celebrate his reunion with Lynne (his beloved wife that past a year ago).
Now you know the rest of the story.
Thanks for reading

Hey Folks!
Please note that I am not the guy at the Goodwill stores and garage sales looking for things to buy for resale.
I must confess. I love gadgets! Computers, phones, TV, all that kind of good stuff.
Well my wife and I just upgraded our equiptment. This leaves some gently used computers that I need to sell. While I just listed them on Craigslist and I am about to put on EBAY the idea just hit me. Why not list here?
This site is about learning and sharing. Selling and buying. If I have some things that can help my fellow Rainers I feel I must post them. Here is what I need to sell
15" Apple Titanium PowerBook G4 (purchased reconditioned from Apple), $500
17" Apple Titanium PowerBook G4 (purchased new from Apple), $700
Apple Clamshell iBook, purchased from a ebay reseller, $100
Apple G4 Tower, purchased from EBAY, $350
10.3" Sony Vaio, VGN-T150P with factory doc station (purchased new from Sony), $450
(3) PC Towers, various configurations, purchased from Office depot, $150 - $350
Canon 20D SLR with lens and accessories (purchased from EBAY), $350
Now I have pictures and will give full details. Everything I know about everything will be completely disclosed. Everything is in great shape and just need to find a new home.
All prices will be plus shipping and insurance. Of course local pickup (Indianapolis) is OK.
Thanks for looking

Hey Folks!
Been a long (but fun). My day job did get off to a late start. This morning I attended a "seminar" from Money Tree Training Group. This group serves mortgage and real estate folks with personal coaching.
Brian Bailey gave the "seminar" and let me say glass looks at him and says "he's slick." Not saying a bad thing he is what he is. While some things didn't make sense (says he has been doing this for 15-years and trained for 8-years all while being 37) he delivered great points that can help anyone in the business. Most are based on the book: Think and Grow Rich by Napolean Hill.
Now I did not sign up I wanted to get opinions about how everyone in the rain views personal coaches. So please comment. I also found a cool widget site I am expermienting with.

Hey Folks!
I was just messing around on www.godaddy.com yesterday looking at names and the thought it me, is it all about .com?
Now if you have ever searched for a name you know the .com pool is getting real thin. While .gov is reserved for goverment and .edu schools what about the rest.
.org was used for non-profits. Not any more
.biz was looked at as a second class business. Today more and more businesses are .biz
Now we have .tv, .me, .info, .mobi, etc. What do you think?
Should big business classes have a specific tag. Realtor = .rtl, Broker = .bkr, Banker = .bailout (kidding)
As I posted yesterday about toll free numbers how important is it to have a .com?
Thanks in advance for your comments.

Hey Folks!
I am been a very, very bad blogger. Business, family and such has kept me away for a few weeks. Hope to stay back this time.
I am sure you can relate to being in a public place and seeing those signs to turn off your cell phone ringer. Churches, movies, banks, etc. No one seems to like ringers. Here is a short video of why not have your ringer on. Have a great day and when you have any mortgage questions or needs I am here to help. Need rates? Hey Folks!
Wasn't it just a few months ago when the press and government was talking about helping companies the talk was in the millions. Most were up in arms. "How can we spend millions to help out a company that is run so poorly?"
Now we have a new year, a new administration and all of the talk (including the end of the last administration) is about billions and its no big thing anymore.
Reminds me when I was younger. McDonald's use to list the number of hamburgers sold. The restaurants change the numbers but when they hit a billion it was no big thing. No one noticed. Now McDonald's just list Billions and Billions served.
Will the US new tag line will be Billions and Billions Spent? When will this stop?
Now when you need a little less Amerisave is the place to start. Try the widget below to find live rates, 24/7 that is taylored to your needs not low ball ads you see all over the net. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hey Folks!
Looking at expenses and use I was going over telephone bills the other day. Now I'm old enough to appriciate a toll-free number. Hours and hours of countless hours spent on the telephone didn't seem as bad when someone else was picking up the dime (yes, remember when payphones were a dime). With over 271,000,000 cell phones in the US today how effective are toll free numbers?
Pro's+ Personalized numbers+ Easy to remember+ Still effective for folks with traditional long distance+ Collect caller data
Con's - Expensive- Folks with anytype of smart phone have no idea what number to dial- To many numbers to remember. Most can get the 7 but is it 800, 866, 877, 888, etc- Telephone companies are double dipping revenue collecting from both cell and toll free charges
Please post your thoughts.

Hey Folks!
Well it has been said that people will bet on just about anything. Now with Sunday's big game of course you have the point spread and the over under but get a load of these other odds:
How long will it take Jennifer Hudson to sing the National Anthem - Over/under 1:54
How many times will NBC show Brenda Warner on TV during the game - Over/under 3.5
How many times will Al Michaels and John Madden reference Ben Roethlisberger as "Big Ben" during the game - Over/under 7.5
How many food references will John Madden make during the game - Over/under 1.5
What song will Bruce Springsteen sing to begin the halftime show - Born in the USA, 2-to-1, Glory Days, 2-to-1, The Rising, 4-to-1
Who will the MVP of the game thank first - God, 1-to-1, Teamates, 2-to-1, Family, 4-to-1
What color will the Gatorade that is dumped on the head coachof the wining team? Clear/water 4-to-5, Red, 5-to-2, Yellow, 3-to-1
Will Barack Obama bring back the tradition and call the winning team before the broadcast goes off the air? Yes +150, No -225
So now you have it. Something tells me if you bet on any of these you may need to get a little help (kidding)
Hope you enjoy all aspects of the game.

Hey Folks!
While catching up on some emails I have the TV on in the background. Not paying much attention buy one thing leads to another and all of a sudden Saturday Night Live is playing.
This is a show I grew up with. Some good seasons and some not so good. Tonight Steve Martin is the guest host for his 15 time. By the look of it I guess 14 may have been his cap.
I am not sure if my comediy taste has changed or if show is no longer funny. Whay do you think. I am siding with the show is no longer funny.
Thanks for reading and I will be looking forward to your comments.

Hey Folks!
As we end the first month of 2009 I am looking back on all of the things I have set out and happy with most. Now I am down to Twitter.
While I have had the account for a while I have done nothing with it. After a month of me following them (almost 1,000) and them following me (about 600). What do I do with it?
I post several interesting tweets throughtout the day (most with my iphone app), answer dm's and provide help when I can I need some pointers what to look for and how to help my business with it.
Please post on.
Thanks

Hey Folks!
If you were like me earlier today you might have thought you broke the Internet. I figured I posted one to many videos but what happened is that Google placed the Internet on a blacklist.
Yes, A mistake caused every site in Google's result pages to be marked as potentially harmful and dangerous.
I guess the problem affected Internet pages across the whole planet and lasted for around 40 minutes.
Google's malware detector, which is designed to keep Internet users from visiting sites Google believes may install malicious software when users brows them. Google blamed "human error" when an engineer tried to add one web address to the list of suspicious and by mistake added them all.
So if you tried searching during the ""error" it came up with a error that nothing was found. Yes, Google broke the Internet.

Hey Folks!
Well a little crazy around central Indiana yesterday. We had the second largest one-day snow fall in history. Now this was great for the boys. Snow angels and today a Snow man.
While my day was spent shoveling and snow blowing when I was taking breaks I would have the TV on. Local news was on all day covering the storm. Now local news is local news. Some good and some bad. My question is this. Why do they always have to be outside? No matter the story. No matter the time of day. No matter the weather. Local reporters (and many National) report from outside.
For all that know a television reporter this short video may be for you. Feel free to share and enjoy:
<object>

</object>
Now when you need a mortgage it does not to be that hard. Amerisave and myself, Tony Grego, wants to be sure you are happy and everything is disclosed. In fact you can use the attached widget to find the rates you qualify for and will not have to put in any personal information until you decide that Amerisave is right for you.

Just went to the Eye Doctor (Optometrist) - Why Don't They Use a GFE?

<img src="https://activerain.com/image_store/uploads/7/3/1/9/6/ar123293462569137.jpg" style="float: left;">
Hey Folks!
My new years resolution is to take better care of myself. You see I'm 48 and have two small boys 3 and 4. Not that anything is wrong I just feel that it is time. So I had that physicial thing a few weeks back (not going to get into the details but thought it was strange when he had the lights low and a candle burning. Kidding a little bit). Next on the list was to get my eyes check.
So I call for the appointment and everything is very nice and professional. I am asked all the basic questions. Insurance, name, address, last time I had my eyes checked (I think my Mother took me when I was a minor), and if I wore glasses. She had to laugh when I told her that I will not be wearing on the way in but will on the way out. She could look for me. I will be the one with the white cane.
Well I go to appointment. After drops, all kinds of test and the rest the optometrist tells me I need reading glasses (got a break). He then takes me to the "sales floor." Here I am presented with 100's of frames. A dozen pairs are laid out (I found out later priced low to high). The "fitting specialist" (I wish I knew her when I needed some car salesmen) narrows HER choices to about three. Remember, I am 48 and never wore glasses so when I saw reading glass frames that look like pairs I have seen in a dollar store priced at $600 I am in shock. The fitting specialist sees my expression (must have great vision) and says "don't worry about the price, you get a discount with your insurance."
I finally pick a pair around $200 (I figure I am getting away cheap), then the add on's. Glare resistance, sanding, mounting, scratch resistance, and it goes on and on.
By the time I walk out of their I spend just under $400 (the specialist points out that it would have cost me almost $1,000 if I did not have insurance). After speaking with some friends I find out that this is normal and typical. WOW! I should have asked for a GFE before making the appointment.

Hey Folks!
Now the automotive business has been known for producing hundreds of commericials a day. Now while I know we have all enjoyed some classic spots we have also seen some duds.
This next one takes the cake. It is a spot for Hyundai and intended for the French market. Now while I am sure French TV is a little different then our I still have to ask Hyundai, "What were they thinking?"
Now when you looking for a mortgage to purchase or refinance we know it is a great time. Don't pay to much. At Amerisave we have great rates and fees and you're in charge. The attached widget allows you to see live rates that you will might qualify to get. You don't put in personal information until you make the decision to use me. Tony Grego. Well enough of the sales pitch. Enjoy the video:

Hey Folks!
Well another day with rates creeping up. Why? They just are. No major reports or news. Things should settle down the next couple of weeks and level out. If closing within 30-days I recommend to lock now.
Now if you want to see what rates you may qualify to get Amerisave has a great wiget. Enter in a little information and you will get dozens of options. All without any personal information. If you have any questions or problems (if a program does not display we can look into this) just drop me a email or telephone call.
Have a Great Day!Tony Grego, Regional Sales Director with AmerisaveThe Place with Great Rates!<img src="https://activerain.com/image_store/uploads/3/4/7/0/8/ar123124319280743.jpg" style="float: left;"><iframe src="http://www.amerisave.com/rateSearchFormExternal.cfm?partner=agrego" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe>
