This fun pip project can be done in such a wide range of color combinations, that you're sure to find a look that suits you. If you've ever made a shamballa bracelet, you already have all the skills you need to create this great weekend project. Lets get started!

Preparation

Gather all the supplies needed for this project.

Materials Needed

• 2 Strands of pip beads
• 1 pack of silk cord
• 2 feet of Chinese knotting cord
• 1 magnetic clasp

• Nipper Tool
• Clip Board or macramé board
• Binder Clip

Step 1

Run your knotting cord, and silk cord through your magnetic clasp and center.

Step 2

Attach your magnetic clasp to your clip board. Pull your knotting cord straight down and attach to the bottom of your clip board with a binder clip. Pull your silk cords out to the sides.

Step 3

Make square knot following our diagram below

Step 1

Run your left silk cord over your knotting cord(center cords), then under the right silk cord.

Step 2

Run your right cord under your knotting cord (center cords), and up through the loop on the left side.

Step 3

Pull your knot tightly.

Step 4

Run your left silk cord over your knotting cord, and under your left silk cord.

Step 5

Run your left silk cord under your knotting cord (center cords) and up through the loop on the right side.

Step 4

Pull Tightly

Repeat the above steps 2 more times

Step 4

Now we will begin weaving our pip beads into our knots. Be sure to start by loading your first pip bead onto the side of the silk cord with your needle.

Step 1

Load a pip bead on to your silk cord. Run your left silk cord over your knotting cord(center cords), then under the right silk cord.

Step 2

Run your right cord under your knotting cord (center cords), and up through the loop on the left side.

Step 3

Pull your knot tightly.

Step 4

Load a pip bead onto your silk cord. Run your left silk cord over your knotting cord, and under your left silk cord.

Step 5

Run your left silk cord under your knotting cord (center cords) and up through the loop on the right side.

Step 6

Pull Tightly

Continue doing this, occasionally checking the length around your wrist for sizing.

Step 5

Once you've gotten to a size you're happy with, make 3 overhand knots with your silk cord.

Step 6

Now cross both your silk cord, and your knotting cord through your clasp in opposite directions, and pull tightly

Step 7

complete 3 more overhand knots to make sure your clasp is secure, and trim excess cord with a pair of nippers.

Creating a braided gemstone bracelet is a great project for beginninger, and makes a great looking piece for more advanced jewelry designers as well.. If you can braid and use a bottle of glue you already have all the skills required to create one of these bracelets. Large hole gemstones are available in a variety of colors, so customizing this easy to make leather bracelet is no problem. Lets get started!

Preperation

Gather all the supplies needed for this project.

Materials Needed

• 24 8mm Large Hole Gemstones (1 strand)
• 1 yard of 2mm round leather - natural
• 1 magnetic clasp

Tools & Supplies Needed

• Super New Glue
• Nipper Tool

Cut your yard of leather into 3 equal sections.

Step 1

Put 2 to 3 drops of super new glue into one end of your magnetic clasp. Roll the glue around to make sure the sides and bottom are covered.

Step 2

Insert all 3 strands of leather into your clasp and hold in place for 30 seconds.

Step 3

Set your clasp down and allow it to dry for 5-10 minutes. The hold will need to be secure while braiding your leather.

Step 4

While your clasp is drying, use your nipper tool to angle cut the other ends of your leather.

Step 5

Having this angle cut will make it a little easier to load on your gemstones.

Step 6

Once you have let your glue dry you'll need to begin by creating 1 braid without any gemstones.

Step 7

Load 1 gemstone onto your left strand of leather.

Step 8

Take that strand of leather and place it on top of your middle strand.

Step 9

Holding your first gemstone leather in place, load a gemstone onto your right strand of leather, then place the strand over the middle strand again.

Step 10

At this point you'll keep repeating steps 7 thru 9 until you've used approximately 24 gemstones.

Step 11

Check the length of the bracelet around your wrist.

Step 12

Add or remove gemstones as needed to find the appropriate size.

Step 13

Once you're happy with the sizing, add 1 last braid without any gemstones.

Step 14

Hold the bracelet from the gemstone side and flush cut your leather.

Step 15

Whole holding your leather, add super new glue into the other side of the clasp.

Step 16

Insert your 3 strands of leather into your clasp.

Step 17

Let it dry and show it off!

One of out most recent necklace kits, and probably one of the most popular necklaces we've ever put together here at Toocutebeads.com. Our original necklace featured Swarovski pear pendants, but there really are a lot more possibilities out there. The basics of the necklace can remain the same, but by testing out different drops, you may find results that really match your style. Im gonna show you below how we put this kit together, and some great options to add a different twist to hit.

The first step is making sure you have the all the materials needed for this project.

You'll need the following to get started

• 1.5mm Leather
• 2 - 1.5mm Sterling Silver End Caps
• Super New Glue
• 2 - 5mm Jump Rings
• 2 Pear Pendants (That what we use, but we will show you some alternatives at the end).
• Sterling Silver CZ Button Slider

Follow the 5 steps below to create your own Lariat Necklace

Step 1

Begin by assembling your CZ button slider following the image. Do not attempt to force the button closed. Add enough pressure with align the holes, then load both ends of the leather through the holes. The spring will do the work for you.

Step 2

Put the leather, with the button over your head to determine where you would like your neck- lace to sit. Once you’ve determined your length, use scissors to trim the ends of the leather on a slight angle.

Step 3

Add a drop of glue to the end of your leather and slide the it into your end cap. Repeat this for the other end of your leather. Be sure the circle of end cap is facing the same direction as your slider. Set aside for about 10 allowing the glue to begin to set.

Step 4

Using 2 pair of pliers open your jump rings wide enough to accommodate your pendant.

Step 5

Load your pear pendant onto the jump rings, then attach to your end caps. Close your jump rings securely. Let the glue set for 30 minutes to make sure everything stay in place..

Just like that you've completed a new lariat necklace in just a few minutes (Not including the drying time of course). Now, if you look at the header image you'll see we've also done this project using Swarovski's Spike pendants to make the necklace a little more edgy. Now you can really begin to try some different ideas to fit your personal style.

Here are some variations we've done

Lariat with Cross Beads

Using earring wrapping techniques you can take your favorite beads and convert them into drops for your Lariat Necklace.

Lariat with Crystalactite Pendants

Here we fancied up the design using Swarovski's beautiful Crystalactice Pendant. Using pure drops or twisted drops would work well too.

• 16" of 2.5mm Leather
• 37 x 13mm snap clasp half round
• 6 1/2" of cup chain (20 stones)
• 1 yard of 1.2mm knotting cord
  

Additional Supplies

• Clip board & binder clip
• Super New Glue
• Scissors
  
• Nipper Tool (for cutting your cup chain)

	STEP 1 Cut your leather in half (so that you have two 7 inch pieces). Place 3 drops of glue into one half of your clasp. Put crystal in, and then one piece of leather on each side. Let dry for about 10 minutes.
	Secure it on your clip board to ease your bracelet making process.
	STEP 2 Take your 1.2mm knotting cord and make it equal under the 1st space between the crystal chatons. Tie an overhand knot, making sure knotting cord is centered with equal parts of cord on both sides.
	STEP 3 Take your right cord under your right leather and pull up.
	Step 4 Take your left leather cord under your left leather and pull up.
	Step 5 Make an "X" over your crystal center.
	STEP 6 Take your right cord under your right leather and chain, making sure not to take your cord under or over your left leather.
	Step 7 Take your left cord under your left leather and chain, making sure not to take it over or under your right leather.
	Step 8 Pull both cords in place and make an "X" under the chain.
	Step 9 Then making an x over the chain
	Repeat Steps 3 to 9 until you've reached desired length. (7 times for a 7" bracelet)
	Unclip Your bracelet, and measure it around your wrist. If you need to shorten the bracelet take your patterns back as needed.
	Once your desired size is reached tie an over hand knot.
	Then once more to secure it.
	If you needed to shorten the bracelet you can do so by cutting in between the chatons. Make sure you leave at least one extra chaton to be glued into your clasp.
	Cut your excess leather off (up to the end of your chaton)
	You will now place 3 drops of glue in your clasp and place your cup chain and leather inside.
	Now to end off your bracelet you will cut your excess knotting cord and glue or melt it to secure your knot.

• 1 Pair of Ear Wires
• 2 4mm Crystal Rondels

Load a 3mm Swarovski Bicone onto each of your wires, and cross them through the first hole of your Tila Bead, and pull tightly.

Step 4

Add 3 seed beads to each of your wires, and cross over through the second hole in your Tila Bead

Step 5

Add a 3mm Bicone to each strand of wire, and cross the wire through the first hole of another tila bead

Step 6

Add 3 seed beads to each of your wires, and cross over through the second hole in your tila beads

Step 8

End your bracelet with two 3mm bicones, take each wire thought a crimp tube, ring of your clasp, then back through the crimp tube and bicone. Crimp your crimptube, add crimp covers, and nip off your excess wire.

Step 1: Gather your materials and supplies

• Super New Glue, Sharp Scissors, Iron (on non steam setting), Bent Nose Pliers, Nipper Tool
• Flat Stainless Steel Chain, CrystalTex, Silver Terminals, Jumprings, Steel Chain, Artistic Wire, lobster claw.

Step 2: Iron your CrystalTex onto your wide stainless steel chain. *It is very important you use a non steam setting when applying your CrystalTex

Step 3: Run your artistic wire through your flat chain.

Step 4: Curve your chain using the artistic wire.

Step 5: Trim your artistic wire, along with any excess pieces of flat chain.

Step 6: Put a few drops of super new glue into your terminal.

Step 7: Insert your flat chain into the terminal. the repeat steps 6 and 7 on the other terminal

Step 8: Attach your chain to the terminals with your jump rings
