Brazilian DJ and producer Gui Boratto‘s track, “This Is Not The End” has recieved a little bit of an update from the man himself (aswell as remixes from Michael Mayer & Ame). This is somewhat weirdly in the Techno section in Beatport, maybe because of the remixes? I’m not sure, I don’t know what Techno is these days… =/. Anyway, if you missed the track first time around, then you are in for a treat as this is a lovely piece of melancholic “indie-disco” and you really should own it.

ブラジル人DJ/プロデューサー、Gui Borattoのトラック ”This Is Not The End” が本人によってちょっとアップデートされたみたいです。(Michael Mayer & Ameのリミックスも一緒に) コチラ、どういうわけかBeatportではテクノセクションにあったんですが、リミックスのせいでしょうかね?　ちょっと謎ですけど、そもそもテクノってなんなのか、最近よく解らないんですけど。それはいいとして、このトラックをまだチェックしてない人は絶対チェックしてみて下さい。ちょっとメランコリックになる様な、インディーダンスな所が特にいい感じ。

Bazz – Nuit Blanche (Kido Yoji Remix)

Not so long ago Japanese disco-funk producer Bazz released his EP Topaz. Whilst the title track isn’t really my thing, the b-side “Nuit Blanche” is some rather nice space-synth fun, not so disimilar from the works of Chateau Marmont. It’s also backed with a Kido Yoji remix, a remix that could be the ‘last’ Kido Yoji remix as he’s changing his name (apparently).

日本人のプロデューサー、Bazzがちょっと前にTopazというEPをリリース。タイトルトラックは個人的に好みじゃないけれど、Bサイドの”Nuit Blanche” はChateau Marmontにも通じつような、ペースシンセが素敵なトラックです。そして、こちらKido Yojiのリミックスもあって、これはもしかしたらKido Yojiとして最後のリミックスになるのかもしれません。(どうやら彼は名前を変えるとか。)

Cosmo Black – Break Before You Bend

Cosmo Black is giving away his new EP, “Break Before You Bend“. The EP has been produced by Chris Moore who has produced for the likes of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Foals and Midnight Juggernauts. It’s the latter the EP resembles the most, especially the title track. And if you missed it, here is the first single from the EP, “Blind“.

Woodkid – Run Boy Run (SebastiAn Remix)

“Run Boy Run” is the first single from the forthcoming album of Woodkid. It’s not entirely my thing, but as far as ‘cinematic pop’ goes it’s rather interesting and the video is definitely worth a watch. The track has been remixed by SebastiAn, it’s nothing especially new but there is no denying he’s made good use of the strings and it’s very effective.

Woodkidのニューアルバムからファーストシングルとなるのが ”Run Boy Run” というトラック。個人的な好みではないものの、シネマティックポップっていう路線では中々面白いし、ビデオは絶対見る価値ありです。そしてこのトラック、SebastiAnがリミックス。物凄く新しい!っていうものではないけれど、彼の見事なストリングスの使い方には是非注目。

Aimes – Step Away (Chordashian Remix)

Chordashian remix fellow Brooklynite Aimes and his track “Step Away“. It’s not quite what you would expect from them, they take the track into a cutesy discopop world which is very remiscent of Capsule (especially in the second-half) and Mighty Mouse’s “Jungle Fish“. Some might find the vocals on the track a little difficult to deal with at first but, after a couple plays you get used to them.

ChordashianがAimesの”Step Away“をリミックス。ちょっと意外なリミックスですが、なんとも可愛らしいディスコポップになっていて、後半はCapsuleに似た感じ、Mighty Mouseの “Jungle Fish“みににた雰囲気もあったりします。最初はボーカルがちょっと…って思う人もいるかもしれませんが、聴いていると全く気にならなくなりますよ。

I:Cube – ‘M’ Megamix

It’s been nine years (or six, if you want to be fussy) since the last I:Cube album and he returns with, uh, well… something that isn’t quite an album. ‘M’ Megamix is well, a mix (I guess the title makes it obvious). However, that’s under-selling it a little. It basically plays out like a Radio show with I:Cube as the silent host playing his own tracks that skip through the many genres of dance music and he does this with real ease.

I:Cubeが最後にアルバムをリリースしてから既に9年(もしくは6年)、そして彼が ’M’ Megamixというミックスと共に帰ってきます。簡単に説明すると、I:Cubeがラジオのホストになって、彼の幅広いダンスミュージックをプレイするってな感じ。

It makes it a very fun and unpretentious listen. If there was one criticism of it, it would be a couple of tracks leave you wanting more and it’s a bit frustrating. The likes of “In Alpha“ and “Get The Fever” are far too short. Check the full album stream below, it’s worth scrolling all the way to bottom to hear the full mix so you don’t have to click the forward button loads. I’m pretty sure that this is an album that I will be listening to alot this year.

聴いててとっても楽しいですが、敢えて文句を言うならば、最初から最後まで聴きたい!って思うトラックがあるって事。終わらないで!って感じになります。特に、”In Alpha” や “Get The Fever” は短すぎ! 下で取りあえずフルでストリームしてみましょう。始めから一番下にあるミックスを聞いた方がいいですよ。絶対最終的には全部聴きたくなると思うんで。このアルバムは今年のヘビープレイになりそうです。

Breakbot – One Out Of Two / By Your Side

We rarely post shaky-cam festival footage of forthcoming tracks, I know. But, our anticpation levels are quite high for the forthcoming Breakbot album so we are making an exception. His next single, “By Your Side” (once again featuring the vocals of Irfane) is due for release June 18th with remixes from Oliver & Dj Sneak. The thought of Oliver + Breakbot makes me very happy.

誰かが撮ったフェスのビデオなんて滅多にポストしないけど、Breakbotのアルバムとなると話は別です。彼のネクストシングル、”By Your Side” (ヴォーカルは今回もIrfane)は、6月18日リリースで、Oliver & Dj Sneakのリミックスもついてきます。Oliver + Breakbotなんて夢みたい!

Did you notice a track called “By Your Side” at the end of that? It’s the name of his album… After a little bit of searching I managed to find a clip of it. It’s well… have a listen.

最後のほうの、”By Your Side”に気付きました? 因みにこれがアルバムタイトルです。ちょっと探してみたら、これを見つけました。チェックしてみてね。

Lovelock – Maybe Tonight (Morgan Geist Edit)

Up until a week ago (thanks grum) I was not aware of the music of Steve Moore a.k.a Lovelock. Which is actually a good thing, because I’ve just spent the week listening to his originals and remixes. It’s been very enjoyable, if quite guilty pleasure. I’ve learnt there is “80′s Nostalgia” and there is “Lovelock”.

つい1週間前までSteve Moore a.k.a Lovelockの存在を知らなかったのですが(教えてくれたGrumに感謝)、知ってからずーっと彼の音楽を聴き続けています。ちょっとギルティープレジャーな感じだけど、とっても気に入っています。80’sのノスタルジックな感じと“Lovelock” がたまりません。

Somewhat coincidentally, this week Lovelock digitally (you can get the vinyl here) released the Morgan Geist edits of his track “Maybe Tonight“. The word “epic” is somewhat over used… but, for this, it totally fits. Enjoy.

偶然にも今週、”Maybe Tonight“のMorgan Geistのエディットがデジタルリリースされたばかりで、(因みにアナログはココでゲットできます。)“epic”という言葉は正にこの為にあるようなものです。絶対チェックしてね。
