I'v always loved that inner leg meeting section on the spartans. It means you have to let people see your inner thigh... which can be awkward. Maybe next time you go out on the town you could just just lie on your back with one leg raised. (Hey, I'm just trying to come up with solutions here).

2. The much neglected "majorette vibe" from the only person I know who could possibly make a stylistic connection between borderline fetishwear and marching band uniforms. Kudos.

So I got me some unhappy customers! Sux!

I forgot that a lot of people who shop at Black Milk don't actually come through this blog, so they weren't aware that the Liquids were PVC at the front only.

Okay, let's cut to the chase - DO YOU WANT FULL PVC? It's hot, it's tight, it's stinky, it doesn't breathe ... but it look's kinda good.

In preparation for this very question I have taken some photos.

Consider yourself warned (... and if those three capitalised words make you go "Yay!" check yourself, you might be a bit pervy.)

So, what's the verdict - yay, or nay?

2. Katie Gallagher has been getting a bit of press on the interwebs recently. Sheer with zips. I'll admit that it had crossed my mind. 

Notice they are symmetric the front, and symmetric at the back - all except that one seam on the back of the left knee. Wonder if that was a mistake? As a designer, I can tell you that a lot of 'features' start out that way!

"Oh that ripped seam on the front of the crotch... ummmm... that's a special feature. Yeah, veeeeery special" 

3. House of Holland for Pretty Polly. I recall these guys contacting me and saying they would send me a pair of these for review. And that was the last I heard of it! Gotta love those good old internet marketing strategies...

4. Not really sure what to say about this pic below. This grey colour/style of fabric is called 'marle'. There you go, learned somethin' didn't ya?

Now, I say this often, but... this fabric is amazing. Strong, comfy and stretchy. Nothing say glam rocker quite like metallic animal prints. Delicious. Please note - this is a limited run fabric, so once it's gone, it's gone!

Okay - important point, I've changed the shape of that panel on the bodysuit a bit - it's now shaped more like this:

It starts a bit lower on the right side and covers more of the front.

You know I did a bodysuit based on that fabric? I don't know if it will ever see the light of day. Perrrrrdy hot tho'.

I have to tell you, the bodysuits have caused me more than one grey hair...

Last week myself and my minion were putting together the bodysuits and starting to feel like they were coming together. Did some fittings and girls were really positive. There were a couple of little changes I wanted made to the patterns, and then it was to be full steam ahead.

But... as I was looking at the back piece of the bodysuit I decided that it wasn't cut low enough. Fairly much every girl I have ever talked to about bodysuits loves the low cut back. My backs were low... but could have been lower. So I decided to take another two inches off the scoop at the back. When I did that there was a little voice in my head which was mumbling something, but I didn't think about it.

Then we sewed up a bunch of bodysuits. 

Then we took a Lace Bodysuit to a photo shoot and I suddenly realised something...

Namely, that by scooping out the back even more, the structure of the garment totally changed. Without getting too technical... leaving out more fabric at the back destabilised the mid section and meant that the top straps were able to stretch more than they ordinarily would, resulting in an unacceptably loose front section.

So all those ones we made had to be redone.

Sucks to be me!

I decided to totally revamp my website, so we did a big shoot featuring all of my old and new gear.

We had lots of fun...

She was heavy. 

I like this pic below because I look like a dude who solves crimes using his powerful skills of deduction. Seriously - do we look like heroes or what?! 

... and then after we solve a crime the bad guy says "Yeah, and I would have gotten away with it too if it wasn't for you pesky kids..."

I really don't get it, because if you look at the photo the shadows suggest a lot of light is being cast on the legs, but you still can't really see them properly. Very suspicious...

I think Karl Lagerfeld has the other glove. Play it safe and go with a pair of Liquids.

As a consequence, I have to apologise, I haven't been ale to keep up with demand. I'm massively behind. Especially since I have a big photo shoot coming up tomorrow and I've been trying to get stuff ready for that.

Okay, I need an opinion here. I have already run this idea by a few peeps whose opinions I respect, and there has been a mixed reception. So I ask you guys. Chains + zipper knee style here - yay or nay?

A few people have suggested scrapping the chains altogether... which I can see working. I just wonder if they will be a little boring as a result (I mean boring by Black Milk standards. ;)

Well I have a fairly massive week ahead, today I will post a MUTHALODE of packages, and sew a whole lot more for tomorrow.

The Lace Collection seems to have been very popular... which is great. Although I have noticed something strange, all the people who have bought the Lace Collection have bought Black Milk gear before.

Not sure how I should think about that. There are two alternatives, both of which are probably true:

1. I suck at marketing

2. I'm quite good at making customers happy with their leggings

Take from that what you will. Note to all those who bought the whole collection (I love you guys...) they will all be done at the end of the week. Sorry about the wait...

4. I recognise the Diane Von Furstenburg leggings from a couple of posts back - $115 I believe. What do you think - unusually good leggings, yeah?

5. This from some Japanese men's magazine - making very liberal use of the Disproportionately Extend Femur & Shin function in photoshop. Can't find it in the main menu? Hmmmm... maybe you have an older version.

I know legs, dahling, and this is not how they go.

6. Gradient tights. Love.

7. Jingle bells, jingle bells... if you want lovely leggings for Christmas, probably best not be waiting till mid December, capisce?

8. Oh... word about the Lace Leggings - they are deliberately not locked at the bottom!!! That means they are 'open' at the ankles without the fabric folded back and stitched. There is a reason for this, it's not just that I sewed the waist and then gave up. Being lace, they are a lot more comfortable that way and any attempt to stitch the bottoms would result in a big lumpy blob. You don't need that.

... and don't worry, it won't fray. Trust.
