Paul McCartney almost joined Johnny Marr's band in the 80s! Oh, wait, strike that. Reverse it. Either way it would've been a cool collaboration, particularly because this was around the time when Macca was hanging out with Elvis Costello. Talk about a super band. In 2010, I got caught up in the immense buzz around Local Natives and their debut album Gorilla Manor yet it fizzled out quite anticlimactically for me. Perhaps the album needs a revisit. Pop maestro Bleu is prepping his fifth full-length album for release next year and he's sharing a couple new tunes here. The underrated House of Love is rereleasing their debut album in a loaded 3-disc set on November 26. Crazy that the original album was released way back in 1988.
