It all started when I needed to wake up at 4 in the morning to catch a flight at 6 to SFO, the San Francisco airport.“Stop mom! I don’t want to wake up!” I said. After fussing for about 10 minutes I finally woke up and realized I was going on a vacation with my family and friends! After getting ready I wanted to just dash off and meet my friends but I knew I couldn’t do that. I had to wait for the Uber to come and get us.

      When we reached the airport, our friends were already there.  After checking in and reaching our gate my mom wanted coffee. Since boarding had already started, she said she would be back in a few minutes. She rushed for the coffee and tried to wait there to get it but after a few minutes she realized that the line was too long and came running back. When we were almost at the boarding counter she jumped back in the line with us. In the airplane I was  getting bored and wanted my dad to play a game but he wanted to sleep. Later when I was playing a game with my mom, my friend wanted to play with me so my mom and him switched. Now the flight had just turned much better.

When we landed I was very tired but we still had to get a car rental and eat breakfast since it was 9:30 in the morning. When we got the car we noticed it was a 7 seater and we needed an 8 seater so the dads went to talk to the car rental person. We finally got an 8 seater but it was very dirty and had something like dried blood and dried ketchup in the cup holder in the very back EWWWWWW.. The middle seat of the second row was very wobbly and we had to put a carseat there! How would this trip turn out? We finally reached the hotel and I just crashed on the bed.

We later went on a ferry ride as well as on Lombard Street!

I had an AMAZING time in San Francisco!

My new found hobby…. baking cupcakes… inspired by my mom and her sister Deepika who owns a blog too The Love Of Cakes , i thought of baking all alone… with little help from mom like putting in oven and all.

So after 2-3 successful attempts I decided to go for a fall bake sale. My mom loves cinnamon almond cupcake, and who doesn’t love the fragrance of cinnamon in fall, so that was one flavor I chose. My friends love chocolate chip cupcakes so that was the second choice.

I ended up baking 44 cupcakes, with anyone at home helping me. My dadu dadi are visiting us so they also contributed.

Dad had bought me a cupcake game set which had cupcake stands, wrappers and receipts. All set i invited all friends and neighbors.

It was so much fun and everyone loved my cupcakes. I sold all but 6 of them. My friends also helped me shout out for selling my cupcakes.

Will plan something new for the next time

We had small house party for Diwali, just a weekend before Diwali and had my neighborhood friends over. It was so much fun. We decorated the house so pretty , with a traditional touch..

The day of Diwali we burnt crackers (yes in US) & danced to some nice music…

This season I wanted to be a witch… Witches can be good too.. but the main reason I wanted to be a witch was the wonderful dresses/Accessories and the hat!

This year mom and me made ghost lollipops for Trick or Treat! We both love crafting together!

So she  decided to have a Fall scavenger hunt for me and my friends. We were 10 kids of all ages from 2-10!

Oh what fun it was… ! Finding leaves, twigs, pinecones… we even searched for squirrels, spider webs and Jack-o-lanterns.

We ate popcorns and had apple cider at the end. We also had some brownies that my friend Malina’s mom made.

My mom gave everyone a goodie bag at the end

Definitely, I do not remember anything but my pics always fascinated me…

So mom dad decided to take me again..

We started with Aladdin at the broadway. The next day was Statue of Liberty… loved the ship cruise to it.

But what i loved the most was the Toys R Us  at times square:). It was huge and even had a Ferris wheel inside.. can you believe it.. inside the store…

And a big candy land too…

I went mad inside.. i bought loads of candies and Orbeez

Loved everything.. M&M store at Times square drove me crazy too

I even loved my dinner at Hard rock Cafe, they made me feel special with a nice little activity book…

She said I helped everyone so she chose me. I got a suitcase full of stuff to take home… which had a soft Dog Floppy. So I get to spend time with floppy this week… It will be so much fun.

Friday, Oct 2 , 2015: But this also came with some work.. I had to create a poster all about me; Mom  & Dad helped me with it. I also got some books I enjoyed reading during the week… And had to write about Floppy’s visit to my home. Mom & Dad really felt proud of me being the star of the week.

Hurrah! Summer vacation was fun but long!!! I am excited to go back to school… meet my old friends and make new ones… I am in Grade 1 now … I am big girl now…  You wanna know more about me.. see the awesome poster my mom made for me.
