Keep it reasonable. People look at the price right after they look at the title and the picture.

If you game the system and put a super low price, people will look the other way because you made yourself look like a fool by offering 10 pesos for something worth 100 pesos.

Don’t scam yourself out of a potential customer. Stay honest and you will be rewarded. After all, hardware customers aren’t stupid.

Optimal Outline Of Your Ad

1. Start with a headline

2. Write good detailed descriptions

3. Close with a “Call to action” that tells them to choose you and call you RIGHT NOW.

Here are some tips so that your maps will come out correctly

1. Put the Correct City.
2. Use the complete Street name. Some streets in the Philippines have new names yet people still refer to it with old names.
3. Do not include phrases that shouldn’t be there. If you want to let the customer see that you are “infront of x” then please write it down in the description area.

These simple things will definitely help you out. Using the maps function is a great help for potential customers so do not neglect it.

If all else fails, it just means that the street still isn’t included in the maps database. Be patient and it will appear soon enough.

You should already know this. Pictures are great eye candy to build trust with your customers. People are hesitant to trust people online because they need to see items. Giving them some pictures as proof will go a long way.

Contact Number

Keep it updated. They can’t call you if you don’t give them the right number!

Checking Your Email

You might not check your mail daily, but at least schedule a day to check the mail. A potential customer usually sends email if they aren’t in a hurry. This could land you a good long term customer.

Everyone is jumping to the internet. From Facebook, Friendster, Multiply, Ebay, Sulit, to Deviantart, Nba.com, and the likes, Filipinos really depend a lot on the internet. Lots of Filipnos now have Twitter accounts and that says something! It touched the world when Ondoy devastated the Philippines. People went online and did their part to help their fellow countrymen.

Now it’s 2010, and there’s really no turning back. More and more people are going online everyday, and are now more open to buying things online.

Here is where Toolbox PH comes in. By posting you ads, you will get exposure for your products. It’s that simple.

How do they find you? You have to ask yourself how you find things on the net. Your answer probably is Google,Yahoo or Bing.

For now I’ll show you how you can be found using Google.

So you think to yourself, what would people type in to find you? Heat gun right?

The title is good and detailed. He included the “heat gun” phrase

The used that too in the Keywords/Tags area

The description is good enough. Unique, eye catching, he used pictures, and used the heat gun phrase.

He submitted his listing and he is done.

He submitted this yesterday, we do not know each other. I just picked a random ad listing.

Now let’s imagine you were looking for a heat gun in the Philippines

You go to Google (see screens below)

Let's Say You were Searching For a Heat Gun

Hmm, I can see many sites but they are not related to what I want to find. BUT! What’s that! I can see an ad about a heat gun i could buy in the Philippines!

I go and click. I check the site, check the ad, check the description and contact the seller!

It Leads me to this great listing.

So you see, that is a start. If you want to push your listing higher, try bookmarking them. Spreading the word on Facebook, Twitter and other social sites will help as well. We provided these little buttons at the bottom of each of your ad listings so you can easily do them.

What you think is good does not always appeal to everyone. You certainly don’t want to clutter your classified ad with details that will make shoppers lose interest! Just focus on getting them to call you.

Learn How To Use Tags Properly

This means, not spamming the hell out of it. If your item is about Lead Sinkers, you can just use tags like “lead,lead sinker, sinker”

You customers will be able to find you easier like that rather than putting unrelated words. It will look unprofessional and untrustworthy.

Make Sure Your Title Has The Most Important Words

If your product is about Lead sinkers, then by all means, please use Lead Sinker in the title. It will be easier for the potential customers to find you both in the site and through search engines like Google.

Categories

Put your product in the PROPER Category. Why put your Lead Sinkers in the Kitchen category? It makes no sense and you will be banned for repeatedly disobeying our terms of use.

1. Write a SPECIFIC Title.

2. Put in your address. This will allow the system to let people find you by searching your location. People usually go to the nearest store.

3. Contact number. People will call you first. This is a norm in the Philippines

4. Write GREAT descriptions. This will let them find specific items faster as well and they won’t need to ask you for more information! Less talk more sales!

5. Wholesaler? Retailer? Agent? You need to tell them because there are certain restrictions. Wholesales can’t sell to end users and they usually sell in bulk. Let them know if you deliver also. Just put it in the description as well!

BONUS TIP: Do you see the icons at the bottom of your ads? Those are bookmarks! Bookmark your ad using those icons and your items will definitely get more exposure!
