A friend of mine gave me a scoop of tiny garnet rocks that he found on a field trip at a river bay. Using these tiny garnet rocks at the sides with diamond settings, I designed this ring with a rectangle cut garnet.

"Nearly ten years of magazine clippings, web browser bookmarks, and Moleskin bound doodles finally paid off. Our day was filled with thoughtfully curated details from the wine label guest books to the driftwood bookshelf decor in our sweetheart lounge. From the vintage suitcase, Italian honeymoon display to the flash mob hula danced by all of our guests. We had four Best Men, one Best Woman, a flower girl, A banner boy, and my future father-in-law presiding over the ceremony. A favorite memory of the day: riding in a triple Volkswagen Bus CARAVAN from the ceremony to the reception where our guests were entertained with a first dance bolero, three Hula dances, and even a slam-poetry toast! Not even the rain could stop the party - we'll never forget looking out at our guests sitting happily in the rain with crisp white linen napkins draped over their heads to shield them from the passing showers. Music lovers enjoyed a wide variety of genre: opera for our processional, Hawaiian cha-Lang-a-Lang cocktail hour, Tom Waits first dance, and a YouTube sensation to end the night. Best decision ever: leave for Italy on our honeymoon immediately after brunch the next day. We spent the next three weeks in Venice, Tuscany, and Rome reliving our dream day and loving every minute of our new adventure together." ~ says the Bride

" When you get the weather Ireland can't be beat. There's the iconic rolling green hills bordered with stone walls and yellow gorse and the epic crumbling castles where you might get the gift of the gab or just trip running up the steps of an ancient tower. But in addition to that there are gorgeous beaches with tropical-looking waters and towering sea arches. There's woods that in the springtime are so flooded with wildflowers that you might just start to believe you stumbled into a fairyland...but you have to "get the weather" to truly enjoy some of these sights. Otherwise you're bundled and wet trying to spy the Giant's Causeway through a mix of mist and rain, trying not to let your spirits get damp with your flats. And getting the weather here is like chasing some elusive wood nymph down paths unknown, you're more likely to get lost with a twisted ankle than actually catch the darn thing. It rather makes me wish that you could fit the whole island into some giant greenhouse, like this one, where you can dry your toes and hems for a bit and wait for the storms to pass..." says Rebecca from A Clothes Horse

My trip to Northern parts of Turkey... Part 1 Amasya, Giresun, Ordu

I have never been to the Northern parts of Turkey before and we decided to make a grand tour this summer with my family and close friends. We were lucky for one of our friends were born in this region and planed a detailed root with all the roads marked to be taken and sights to be seen. The hotels we were going to stay at were already booked for us so all we had to do was, pack our bags and get ready for the grand journey.

Our first stop was Amasya.

Amasya city is placed on the high cliffs above the Yesilirmak river. It has a long historic background from the kings of Pontus to the Ottomans. Traditional wooden ottoman houses by the river are now restored and being used as boutique hotels, cafes and restaurants.

Lots of historical buildings could be seen from the Selcuk to Ottoman periods but the most fascinating sight is the King Rock Tombs from the Pontus Greeks that could be seen from everywhere from the city carved on the walls of the mountain by the river.

Without staying the night in Amasya (we will sure be back to see more of Amsaya in the near future) we continued our road first to Ordu than to Giresun. Both beautiful modern cities by the Black Sea with dark green forests,

We also visited the Museum of Giresun. And of course I was drown to the antique jewelry section:) The ones above are traditional Ottoman jewelry from the 19th century.

and these jewelry are Byzantium pieces found in archaeological sights near Giresun. Colored Glass bracelets, beaded gemstone necklaces and of course gold earring, necklace and bracelet sets. I guess not much has changed since those times. We girls still want to spice our looks with fabulous jewelry:)

Seahorses are mainly found in shallow tropical and temperate waters throughout the world. I used to see them in the Mediterranean see when I went for a swim as a child. But I haven't seen any for a very long time. So I decide to design one for my own:) I've designed this seahorse pendant with 925K sterling silver and used turquoise blue and green enamel as the finish.

Rebeca say "I was discussing vintage inspired fashion recently and found myself lamenting the lack of everyday-wear reproductions and knits. It just seems most brands that make vintage reproductions get caught up in making 50s inspired dresses in novelty prints, which while lovely lead to a somewhat limited selection. Trousers, knitwear, 30s and 40s inspired pieces seem to be much harder to come by, but of course my style isn't completely vintage inspired so I could be out of the loop on some great brands."
