Why Are Prepaid Phones The Better Option?

2013-03-11T14:16:00.001-07:00

Kyocera Rise Prepaid Phone

The prepaid cell phones 2013 have gained steam and more people are becoming aware of the fact that technological gadgets might be better without yearly contracts. Referred to as a pay-as-you-go plan, these prepaid options offer a non-committal way for people to still be able to text and call anywhere in the world without getting roped into spending more money than necessary. If someone is an avid texter but doesn't use their cellular device as much as a contract dictates, they're just wasting money. Same for those who keep their phones for strictly emergency uses.

Which brings us back to our original question...

"Why are prepaid phones the better option?"

Prepaid phones provide a peace of mind for parents with technologically savvy teenagers. Something like the Kyocera Rise Prepaid Android Phone from Virgin Mobile is powerful and versatile enough to sate a teen's thirst for cellular awesome, while ensuring a low monthly bill for parents. The full QWERTY keyboard makes texting easy, and even if there aren't any minutes available to use on the phone, emergency calls to select numbers can be made at any time.

Another example of a great pay-as-you-go option is the Samsung a157 Prepaid GoPhone from AT&T. This cell is simple with a sleek design in a traditional clamshell style. Designed for people who don't spend a lot of time on the phone, these feature quick calling, up to 5 hours of talk time on a single battery charge, and customizable backgrounds for a personalized touch.

Talk time cards vary and depends entirely on the needs of each individual person who buys this device. For example, a weekend talker would benefit from unlimited nights and weekends on a 500 minutes weekday cards. The options are near limitless! It's all about finding the right prepaid to best suit your needs.

The Benefits of Unlocked Phones

2013-03-06T13:25:00.002-08:00

Some people are accident prone when it comes to technology. If you're one of them, it's okay! No matter how many times you've dropped your cellular device on the floor or in water, you'll always be able to get it back thanks to a warranty or discounted deal with the service provider.

However, for people who are just fed up with getting the same cell over and over again, there are unlocked phones 2013. These gadgets are best purchased online or at a cellular retail store where you don't have to sign a new contract for a service you already have.

Why go through the process of haggling and dealing with pushy sales people if all you need is a new phone?

What are some of the benefits of buying an unlocked phone?

In 2013, more service provider shops are popping up everywhere, even right beside their competition in most areas. This means that they're locking the phones to the specific networks as soon as you purchase them in the shops.

For example, the innovative Samsung Galaxy S III 8 GB Unlocked Phone is available on Amazon with your choice of providers or as a monthly pay-as-you-go option. If you bought this same phone in-store with a specific network provider, you'd be held to the contract agreement for that phone for up to 2 years, or even longer with some networks.

Unlocked phones are usually more affordable and if you decide to switch carriers later on, you simply save all your information, pop out the old SIM card, and replace it with a new one from your desired network provider. You can get a new cellular device whenever you want to!

One of the best advantages comes from people who travel often. Say you've just acquired a new Blackberry Curve 9320 and it's going great until you leave the country and have to pay serious roaming fees. The unlocked version could help you here as all you'd need to pay are the local rates of wherever you are. It's an easy solution to a typically complex expense!

Are Verizon Phones Better Than Other Phones?

2013-03-06T13:21:00.003-08:00

The annual release of cellular phones from reputable manufacturers is an event revered by the majority of technology fanatics. The hard part is choosing a phone that fits your individual needs. Are you a constant texter with an affinity for WiFi connections? Or a once in awhile gamer who keeps in constant calling contact with friends and family? Verizon phones 2013 allow you to have it all!

In answer to the title question, "Maybe!" For many users, Verizon phones are the very best in every aspect and outrank most other cellular devices on an annual basis. It's the network that will cater to anyone, no matter what their contractual, financial, or personal obligations might be. For example...

The Apple iPhone 5 16GB Verizon Phone is the hottest new item that was the most anticipated for the beginning of this year. Verizon has built several deals and a contract fitting all walks of people, allowing everyday individuals and business professionals alike to have technological brilliance at their fingertips.

Dubbed the thinnest and sleekest cell phone ever, the iPhone is more than a way to text and talk. It's the future of technology! This is perfect for the Verizon customers who cherish cellular advancements and want to get the most out of their iPhone experience.

However, for those who prefer simple cellular services, the Samsung Gusto 2 Verizon Phone offers optimum signal strength at a low contract price. Available as a prepaid or a long-term, this cell phone has an original clamshell design for easy-flip opening and closing. There's also a large keypad, one-touch access with hotkeys and a secure lock, and Bluetooth technology for traveling. Plus, the upgraded 1.3MP camera offers every opportunity to capture perfect memories. Even if you can't pinpoint what kind of cellular user you are, these phones are perfect for everyone.

The Best Prepaid Phones For Teens

2013-03-04T17:42:00.002-08:00

Purchasing one of the best prepaid phones is a great way to teach pre-teens and teenagers the value of budgeting. Parents can start with a nice cellular device with a slew of cool features for a certain number of minutes on a card each month; it can either automatically refill or be refilled manually. When there are no minutes left, teens can't text or call anymore; however, the ability to dial #999 or 911 in an emergency is still available, regardless of how many minutes are on the phone.

There are also some prepaid services that allow parents to program several emergency numbers that can be called without the use of minutes.

Other Pros and Phones are:

The Best And Simplest Sprint Phones

2013-03-04T14:22:00.001-08:00

Every year seems to mark a new beginning for most cellphone manufacturers and their service providers. They're coming up with new products, releasing innovative concepts to the public, and hoping for good things to arise from more complex designs and multi-tasker friendly apps. However, not everyone needs something elaborate in a celluar device. We've compiled a short list of the best Sprint phones on the market today. They're simple, elegant, lightweight, and convenient -- everything a traditional cell phone should be.

_____________________________________

Samsung Array Sprint Phone

This is one of the most non-complex phones available from Sprint because it features a traditional keyboard with a 2.4 LCD screen. It's closer to the original models that first appeared when QWERTY keyboards had first been introduced. There are two ways to text from this phone, using the aforementioned sliding QWERTY keyboard or the large number keys at the front. Sprint TV is enabled for movies, weather, news, and daily doses of sports, while the Music Store has all the downloadable favorites from the latest musicians. It's not fancy but it is high-quality!

_____________________________________

Samsung Galaxy Victory 4G Android Sprint Phone

As we all know, Android is a key element in modern phones. This cellular device features a crisper, clearer LCD screen with touch abilities, a tap & send email service, and an abundance in downloadable applications. Unlocked BlackBerry Phones

2013-03-04T14:17:00.000-08:00

Cellular device bills are ridiculous! …and they're also probably the number one reason why most teenagers are grounded so often. However, despite the obvious expense, people still pay for extravagant and complex services just to get the features they want. Fortunately, there is a completely legal and awesome way to resolve the constant problem of network providers and their money-sucking ways.

For instance, Blackberry gadgets are highly sought after and some of the best unlocked phones you can buy. They're convenient with slide-side QWERTY keyboards, durable touch screens, and huge GB drives that allows for abundant application downloads and music storage.

A few great examples are the BlackBerry Torch 9800 Unlocked Phone, the BlackBerry Bold 9700 Unlocked Phone, and the BlackBerry Curve 9320 Unlocked Phone -- all of these and so much more can be found on sites like Amazon.com or Ebay.com at rates that won't break your bank.

Each one has features that are essential to cellular devices but not to individual network service contacts, such as:

- Optimum WiFi networking

- MP3 and MP4 player with a 3.5mm ear jack

- Blue-Tooth capabilities with GPS support

- On average, up to 7 hours of talk time (or more with select BlackBerry phones)

- 3.2MP camera (or greater) with an LED flash

- Various document opening and editing tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF)

Are there any cons to buying an unlocked BlackBerry?

Unlocked phones may not be for everyone because some people need the contract and monthly reminders to let them know they have a payment due. Locked phones are also better for credit scores, as your network provider reports payments directly to certain bureaus. Moreover, the only major con would be what you pay initially for the unlocked phone. When network providers charge you in-store for signing a contract, they reduce the price of the phone in exchange for your signature and promise you'll be theirs for awhile. Unlocked phones don't offer this; therefore, you're paying the original retail price of each BlackBerry before the network service's discount.

The Best T-Mobile Phones

2013-03-03T20:53:00.002-08:00

After some extensive research, it was brought to my attention that there are numerous devices this year that could be considered the best T-Mobile phones. There's something for everyone! Whether you're a writer with a need for typing quickly wherever you go. Or a business person with a busy schedule and hectic personal life. The casual everyday guy or gal can have all the applications that make their world a little more interesting. Whereas, a cliche' soccer mom might enjoy the calendar features and alarm clocks to keep her up-to-date on family activities. T-Mobile has covered all their bases!

______________________________________

Samsung Galaxy Note II 4G T-Mobile Phone

The aforementioned writer would enjoy this! A cellular device meant to keep your day productive, this phone is equipped with the usual features, such as calling with up to 16 hours talk time on a single charge, texting, WiFi networking with MP3 playback, and an awesome 8MP camera. However, the real treat is the HD super-screen with touch capabilities and an integrated pen. Quick notes can be literally written and "stuck" to the screen as reminders of great ideas, new storyline concepts, or even grocery lists.

______________________________________

Nokia 810 4G Windows T-Mobile Phone

When the Windows 8 came out, people were mostly hesitant because it was so different. Now it's celebrated, integrating into cool gadgets like this one! Well-designed for a multi-tasker, the screen is customizable with an abundance of pre-loaded applications. There are tap and send actions for quick emails, improved navigation through deluxe search engines, and HD 1080p video that ensures every moment is never missed.

______________________________________

Blackberry Bold 9780 T-Mobile Phone

This could be your next family phone! There's a common misconception that texting is for teens, when really, everyone enjoys it from time to time. It's just great to be able to keep up with the people in your life with a high-tactile full QWERTY keyboard. You can send constant messages throughout the day to your kids and/or other family members (and friends) with fast keying, a tap and send touch screen, and WiFi networking for quick emails.

Why Choose Verizon Cellular Service?

2013-03-03T20:45:00.001-08:00

When shopping around for cellular services, people often flock to their nearest outlet mall or technological knick-knack store to see what the local rates and plans are. While this is a great way to start, it causes most people to miss out on even better deals, specifically ones that would incorporate the best Verizon phones. These cells are top-of-the-line with features galore and a new stock of accessories added on a regular basis.

The benefits of Verizon cell phones:

Verizon is reported to offer the best customer service ever available to the public from a cellular company. They've ranked high numerous times with their in-store transactions, over-the-phone sales, and they're supposedly the very best at handling complaints in a timely, satisfactory manner. They also run customer-friendly deals on some of the hottest phones at the best prices!

For example, the Samsung Brightside Verizon Phone is typically upwards of $150 or more, depending on where you shop. When going through the company directly, it's only $80 with a 2-year contract with features like unlimited talk, text, and data. In other words, the ultimate phone package for a growing family with technologically advanced teens.

Newer phones are made available sooner! The Apple iPhone 4S 16GB Verizon Phone has since been knocked to second place in favor of the iPhone 5. However, there are those who still prefer this cutting-edge technology to the more advanced, glitch model. With an 8MP camera and advanced optics, this iPhone is sold as new or slightly used for an affordable price with the accompanying contractual plan.

There are also options to "try it out" and trade-in or trade-up for people who find their needs aren't meant with the 4S. Overall though, with the faster graphics, dual-core A5 chip, and wireless access, it's hard to be steered wrong with this Verizon phone.

AT&T Phones For 2013

2013-02-27T13:48:00.000-08:00

Each year, cellular manufacturers try to one-up the competition with innovative gadgets that trump their previous technological models. Those innovations are usually either too complex to an extreme or not complex enough; fortunately, the AT&T phones 2013 are getting it "just right." From QWERTY keyboards to tap & send touch screens, there's a little something for everyone on the short 'best' list below.

_________________________________________

Apple iPhone 4 8GB AT&T Phone

It seems that most Apple customers will jump at the chance for a new phone as soon as a modified version is made. However, in my opinion, the iPhone 4 is still a great device that surpasses some of the unfixed features of the iPhone 5 that was recently released. The sleek design is easily transportable with a 5.0 MP digital camera, WiFi video calling, multi-tasking screens for numerous apps, and a built-in LED flash for video/picture perfection. There's abundant voice and tone control also, with 7 hours or more of talk time per battery charge.

_________________________________________

Sony Xperia Ion TL 4G AT&T Phone

For the photographer in all of us, this phone is equipped with a 12MP 1080p HD camera for premium, professional-grade photos and video. The 4.6 HD screen offer a crisper picture with a conveniently harmonized touch screen with app line-ups and a large LED face. A port at the top allows you to stream videos from the phone to a big screen HD TV, via HDMI cord. It's also lightweight with 10 hours of talk time per battery charge and the ability to download Playstation game applications directly to your cellular chip.

_________________________________________

Samsung Galaxy S III 4G Android AT&T Phone

This device is perfect for on-the-go students! Everything you need to get started is included in the package (phone, battery, charger, USB cable, and guide). A super-speedy WiFi networking allows for quick streams of important audio, video, or web content. Which means those last minute study sessions for that big mid-term is completely plausible, possible, and more convenient.

T-Mobile Phones For 2013

2013-02-25T21:56:00.002-08:00

The new line of T-Mobile phones 2013 need little introduction. As a matter of fact, I've chosen to tell you as little as possible in the introductory paragraph, wishing instead for you to make your own decisions based on the awesomeness of each innovative T-Mobile design. You'll likely discover several concepts in these phones that you've never thought of or always wished you had in your old cellular gadgets. Without further ado...

_____________________________________

HTC Amaze 4G Android T-Mobile Phone

I've personally dubbed this phone the "photographer's BFF." The original namesake for this cell is called "Amaze" and that's exactly the feeling that's evoked when someone takes a picture for the first time. The HTC has one of the most advanced cameras there is, complete with 8MP and Full HD 1080p video. In less technical talk, this means pictures will be clearer, better quality, and all around as fantastic to view as they were to photograph. This phone is also equipped with classic features like texting, calling, and all the essentials that make a cellular device.

_____________________________________

Blackberry Bold 9780 T-Mobile Phone

Blackberries are the sweetest! Aside from my play on words, this cell is anticipated as awesome by texting fanatics everywhere. While there are usual features like call-waiting, WiFi networking, and thousands of apps, this phone is made the most unique by a high-tactile, fully-functional QWERTY keyboard for quick finger-tapping. Each letter has an individual key that it shares with a symbol or a number, and the entire keyboard process is super-easy to learn and use.

_____________________________________

HTC Radar 4G Windows T-Mobile Phone

This cell would be on level with a business person or a constant multi-tasker who wants to keep organized. The phone can only be described as graceful and sleek with an aluminum unibody and a system powered by Windows 7.5 OS. You can move back and forth with a slide touch-screen from one app to the next in rapid succession. Or chill with Zune-powered music and a quick XBox LIVE game.

AT&T Phones For Multi-Taskers

2013-02-25T16:20:00.000-08:00

Life is hectic! It's a well-known fact, and sometimes it's a daunting task just to keep organized. Which is why I've compiled a short list of the best AT&T phones for the constant multi-tasker. Each of the following cellphones will help busy bodies keep the important details of their everyday coordinated and catalogued. Without further ado, I present to you the comfort, convenience, and coolness of a harmonized life through the power of awesome cellular devices.

Apple iPhone 5 16GB AT&T Phone

Apple seems to come out with a new and better iPhone on a yearly basis, but this is by far their best yet. With a larger screen and a lighter weight, this manufacturer is taking eye-sight and transport into consideration. The extrerior has also be made tougher to withstand the drops and "oopsies" of a typical cellphone user. Apps are lined up and organized on a touch-screen for easy tap and send services with WiFi networking and a clear picture quality. There are also premium built-in speakers with a MP3 streamer and unbelievably quick LTE capabilities.

_________________________________

LG Expression AT&T Phone

Simple and stylish, this phone doesn't have the outward appearance of extravagance like iPhones would have. However, the function is classic with a sleek design and a colorful case. The screen is 3-inches of medium-sized front with a full QWERTY keyboard for quick emails, optimum note-taking, and all-day texting. The phone is also equipped with the original multi-tasking tools, such as synched apps, a customizable touch screen, and premium GPS navigation.

_________________________________

Pantech Renue AT&T Phone

This is my personal favorite! Reminiscent of a traditional Blackberry, the Pantech features a touch screen with a customizable feature for app organization. The slide-out QWERTY keyboard is highly-tactile and sensitive for immediate messaging with seamless transition from letters to numbers and symbols. The best part is the Power Saver battery that uses less energy; therefore, your cell service will last longer than the average 16 hours.

The Best Tablets For Bookworms

2013-02-04T21:17:00.000-08:00

As a writer, it's always been my view that ink and paper would good enough for our ancestors, so they should be good enough for me. That was until I was ensnared and held captive by the idea of technology. It's done so much for the literary world, making books that were originally banned or unrestorable available through different methods. It didn't take long for me to explore, research, discover, and record the results from some of the best internet tablets on the market for 2013. Some are highly anticipated to the point of being elusive, but all are guaranteed to be heaven sent for the bookworms and literature geeks like me.

So far, my favorites are:

_______________________________________

Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7 Inch Internet Tablet (shown in top-left photo)

These Amazon products were the most anticipated of late last year and 2013 has found them to be flourishing in popularity. There are several versions, but this one is especially great because it offers a clearer picture, faster processing, and a multitude of unsurpassed book-worthy space, all on a portable HD screen. If that's not impressive enough, when reading an ebook, the touch screen is very responsive with anti-glare technology that makes you feel like you're reading a real page-by-page book. It's a bonus for being eco-friendly as this means no trees were harmed in the making of the story!

_______________________________________

Apple iPad Mini 7.9 Inch Internet Tablet

I like to refer to this as the miniature e-book reader of the transportation generation. As a society, we're always on the go! These little iPads pack a powerful punch of 16GB memory, Wi-Fi, and a high-resolution 10-inch screen to make long subway rides a little more tolerable. The LED backlit touch screen is perfect for "flipping" pages, while these are available in a wider range of cool colors for the funkier, more colorfully savvy bookworm personalities among us.

Samsung Gusto 2 Phone - The Prepaid Patron

2012-09-22T20:15:00.000-07:00

The best Verizon phones are expected to grant choice to their patrons because not everyone is comfortable with a long-term contract or cellular plan. This is where the Samsung Gusto 2 Phone comes in; a sleek no-nonsense cell with all the capabilities of a contracted phone (without the extra price).

How might this phone be best suited for me?

The usual contracts will have options for limitless texting or calling on the weekends. Or perhaps there will be an option to take care of a 2 year bill in one lump sum, supposedly saving money in the long run. These are all great and fine for teenagers or people who are forever on their phones. For others, some of those features can be a waste; therefore, it’s important for some phones to be both technologically enhanced and prepaid for limited users.

The Gusto is equipped with the usual features that make a cellphone beneficial – such as calling (of course!), texting (on a classic 3-touch keyboard), and photo-taking (with the mini 1.3 megapixel camera). Albeit, these features have been enhanced with simpler applications (calculator, notepad, alarm clock) and more complex benefits – such as the Driving Mode; an action that your phone takes when you’re driving. It automatically switches to a higher ringtone and reads the contact information of each caller out-loud, so you can keep your eyes to the highway.

Granted, some Verizon phones are also only as great as their accessories. This one in particular comes with the usual set-up of power cords and chargers. However, there is also a Bluetooth capability built into each cell, making it easier to use that expensive headset. This phone is simple in a high-tech way, achieving (or even surpassing) the premium qualities of a contracted cellphone while saving you the utmost amount of money each month.

Nerf N-Strike Longstrike CS-6 Dart Blaster - The Serious Warrior

2012-06-28T11:08:00.001-07:00

For kids who relish the thrill of pelting their opponents with a barrage of foam darts, the Nerf N-Strike Longstrike CS-6 Dart Blaster is ideal. Polled high on the top 10 Nerf guns list, this blaster has a range of up to 35 feet of accurate and precise shooting. Included in the price of $26.95 (without shipping fees) is the quick-reload clip, barrel extension, and flip-up sight. The 2 clips are loaded with 6 fly-free foam darts that are air-propelled for true and straight aim.

What are parents saying about the Nerf N-Strike Longstrike CS-6 Dart Blaster?

-- "In my opinion, my kids and I get better aim and range from this blaster if we remove the barrel extension. When the dart travels through the narrow extender, you lose velocity and accuray. However, when removed and the dart travels through the larger main barrel, the shot is perfect almost everytime."

-- "This Nerf gun is perfect for a long-range battle toy. My only concerns would be if my kids forget and stand too close to eachother when they fire. These darts are meant to travel up to 35 feet, which means they can hurt if you're standing really close. Otherwise, I love the continuous fire-power! My son can shoot rapidly rather than having to pump the stock or reload when someone is running. It's the ideal backyard toy for rambunctious 9 year olds."

-- "The best part about the Nerf N-Strike Longstrike CS-6 Dart Blaster are the 2 scopes -- they make for amazing accuracy. My daughters and I have gotten into all-out wars, ending whenever one of us gets exhausted and surrenders or we run completely out of darts. It's like a safer kid-friendly version of paintball -- without the pain associated when something hits you. We usually wind up on the ground, tired and giggling."

KidKraft Austin Toy Box - Oldie But Goodie

2012-06-28T11:02:00.003-07:00

Most parents these days will opt for a toy box that features a child's favorite book or movie character at the time -- however, children grow up quickly and those interests are guaranteed to change. Which is why the KidKraft Austin Toy Box is a safe option -- one that will last a kid through their childhood and well into their teen years. As one of the best toy boxes for kids, this is a classic design; a tried and true method for keeping a child's room free of straggling play-things.

Does it differ from other toy boxes?

-- The KidKraft Austin Toy Box is a design that's been around for decades. Although, these are created with a modern edge -- meaning better safety features and overall reliability. Special hinges ensure no little fingers are pinched, while the lid can double as a seating bench for breaks between cleaning up or playtime. The wood is resistant against water stains and the usual wear-and-tear of use; plus, the required assembly is easy -- complete with a detailed instruction manual. --

Designed to flourish with a child's ever-changing hobbies, the KidKraft Austin Toy Box is available in an array of natural colors -- from cherry-wood to light chestnut. From rough-n-tumble tykes to pretty princesses, these boxes are more than toy storage containers. Over time a toy box becomes a staple in a little girl or boy's childhood -- becoming one of their most memorable and fondest thoughts from way back when.

Do you need a really neat idea for incorporting the KidKraft Austin Toy Box into Christmas or a Birthday? Afterall, most children aren't too thrilled with receiving furniture for either holiday. Instead of presenting this toy box to them by itself, put several other present inside -- either wrapped or as is, This will not only delight them because they're opening up one big package, it will also let them know where all these new toys are to be put away when they're done playing.

Spy Net Secret Message Invisible Ink - The Mystery of Writing

2012-06-27T15:00:00.001-07:00

For pre-teens, the thrill of documenting their everyday life comes in the form of secrecy -- no one knows what they're writing and no one can know without permission. These kids are the masters of their journaling domains, making the Spy Net Secret Message Invisible Ink a popular alternative to traditional ball-point pens. Writing in code is a thing of the past, now kids can express their feelings with invisible ink -- something that only shows up under a special light that most nosey diary readers don't keep on-hand. When it comes to making rugrats feel like they have a little covert privacy, this is one of the best kids spy gadgets.

Recommended for little spies who are 8 and up, this pen allows kids to read and write secret messages -- ones that can be shared with sleuthing allies. Reminiscent of old Nancy Drew novels or the hit 90's-movie "Harriet The Spy," the Spy Net Secret Message Invisible Ink comes equipped with everything a miniature undercover operative might need. An attached, retractable UV light helps keep track of what's written, and also makes it easier to read other notes written in invisible ink.

Intex Swim Center Color Whirl Backyard Swimming Pool - For Creative Little Swimmers

2012-06-23T19:17:00.001-07:00

Are your children constantly drawing and creating new works of art to hang on the refrigerator? Is your home covered in colorful hand-made masterpieces? The Intex Swim Center Color Whirl Backyard Swimming Pool was designed for your creative little swimmer. Voted one of the best above ground pools, this 90" x 22" kiddie pool easily accomodates 4 imaginative children.

It's an inflatable ring of swirling colors -- reminiscent of a vintage ball-pit when it's not filled to the brim with swimming water. Extra large walls and a padded bottom act as bumpers for tender noggins and little romps -- offering cushioning where there are potential boo-boo dangers.

Is your toddler afraid of swimming in large in-ground pools? Do you need a safer place to let your child become accomodated to swimming? The Intex Swim Center Color Whirl Backyard Swimming Pool puts fears of water-bound boogiemen to rest. With just enough water for a 2 year old to wade in, this kiddie pool allows mom or dad to sit on one end while their little one develops their own methods of swimming etiquette.

While this little pond of inflatable fun provides hours of entertainment, there is one downside that occurs towards the end of the day...

The water will become yucky -- even if left covered overnight. Since there's no pump for the Intex Swim Center Color Whirl Backyard Swimming Pool, the water left in it will get a layer of grime over the top each night. This can be compromised of little bugs or misplaced dirt -- either way, this isn't a pool you can leave filled overnight and hope to swim in the next day. However, adults can water their plants or garden with the old water before refilling the pool for the kids to play in. It's an environmentally friendly solution to an otherwise icky dilemma.

Swiss Military Hanowa 06-7087-04-003 Rendezvous 316L Stainless Steel Blue Dial Watch for Women - Strength For The Strong

2012-06-20T22:56:00.002-07:00

I dubbed this "strength for the strong" because I'm an adrenaline junkie who appreciates punctuality. Odd, I know -- but I'm already a strong-willed person and the Swiss Military Hanowa 06-7087-04-003 Rendezvous 316L Stainless Steel Blue Dial Watch for Women makes me stronger. This watch calms my nerves when I'm about to embark on journeys that would be deemed stupid by the majority of other women. Best of the best Swiss Army watches for women, in my opinion. For example, recently I went free-falling from a friend's vintage-model airplane. Sure, I was terrified -- but I kept glancing at my watch with the knowledge that an hour from then, I'd be sharing some drinks and talking about what an amazing rush the whole experience had been.

The Swiss Military Hanowa 06-7087-04-003 Rendezvous 316L Stainless Steel Blue Dial Watch for Women is what I imagine ladies in the military would find helpful. The dial is electric blue -- making the white of the hour markers stand out in stark contrast. The hands are also illuminated in places by a startling white and the bezel is set in a band of 100% gleaming stainless steel. The whole watch shines -- something I think women tromping through unknown areas would need. There's also a little timer surrounding the bezel; an asset for women who need to time their exercises or other activities. It's all right on your wrist -- convenient and comforting!

Next week, I'll be testing the water resistance of this watch. The advertisements and reviews I've read have proclaimed the Swiss Military Hanowa 06-7087-04-003 Rendezvous 316L Stainless Steel Blue Dial Watch for Women can withstand going under 330 feet of watery depth before it's negatively affected. Therefore, I'm going scuba diving -- as far under as my instructor will allow. I'm expecting this watch to do exactly what it claims. It's become my beacon in what would otherwise be some dark moments in my life.

Ladies Citizen EW0620-52E Eco-Drive Stainless Steel Watch - Go Green!

2012-06-18T11:20:00.000-07:00

Do you do everything you can to save the environment -- saving yourself a little money in the process? If so, the Ladies Citizen EW0620-52E Eco-Drive Stainless Steel Watch is the ideal timepiece for you. Voted one of the best ladies citizen watches, this chronograph is eco-friendly and as 'green' as a timepiece could possibly get. What makes this watch the perfect environmental alternative? Allow the below testimonials to shed some light for you.

-- "At 54 years old, I like to say that I was going green before it was cool. The Ladies Citizen EW0620-52E Eco-Drive Stainless Steel Watch gives me the opportunity to be "hip" to the modern age while still being loyal to my eco-friendly morals. My favorite part is the lack of battery power associated with this watch. Instead, it's completely solar-powered (and sometimes false lights work also). All I have to do is set this watch under a lightbulb or directly in the sun every other day, and voila! I have enough power to be punctual for a lifetime."

-- "I love the minimalistic design of the Ladies Citizen EW0620-52E Eco-Drive Stainless Steel Watch! It looks almost robotic -- streamlining down my wrist and fitting snugly but comfortably like a second-skin. The Roman numerals add a hint of old-fashioned style without making this watch seem too out of place with the modern era."

-- "As a pediatric nurse, I wash my hands constantly throughout the day to avoid spreading germs from one child to another or to myself and others. This means I needed a watch to be water-resistant. The Ladies Citizen EW0620-52E Eco-Drive Stainless Steel Watch meets that requirement! Plus, it's an interesting conversation piece. Telling the kids about how the watch is powered usually takes their mind off of the examination -- making them feel more comfortable and relaxed."

Invicta 0488 Angel Collection Cubic Zirconia Accented Watch for Women - Favorites Among Mothers

2012-06-18T11:08:00.001-07:00

Around Mother's Day this past May, I bought the Invicta 0488 Angel Collection Cubic Zirconia Accented Watch for Women on a whim for my mom. I didn't discover until afterwards in an online advertisement that this watch was ranked as one of the best ladies Invicta watches -- a comforting afterthought. Here we are in the midst of June and my mother has worn this watch everyday for the past month. She and her watch have become the perfect inseperable companions -- complimentary and ideal for eachother.

As an avid swimmer, my mom's main concern when it comes to her jewelry is water-resistance. The Invicta 0488 Angel Collection Cubic Zirconia Accented Watch for Women was listed under the "Pro Diver" section -- making it resistant in up to 330 feet of wet depth. My mom is also a retired florist with a passion for roses, which was really the buying point of this Mother's Day gift -- mainly because the dial has a flowery accent, made out of gemstones. The little golden hands look like the petals of a beautiful floral arrangement.

I chose the gold as the ideal choice for her cocoa-colored skin-tone, and she really enjoys the date feature. As someone who still writes the occasional check at the grocery store, she feels secure in knowing that her watch will tell her the correct date to save her the trouble of asking a confused cashier.

While I'm glad my mom was pleased with the Invicta 0488 Angel Collection Cubic Zirconia Accented Watch for Women, I was enamored with the polyurethane band. It has the appearance and feel of supple leather -- a definite plus as a gift for a woman who has extremely sensitive skin. This is something I know my mom can cherish and appreciate throughout the years of her life.

Michael Kors MK5020 Silver Chronograph Knurl Top Ring Watch for Women - From A Buyer's Perspective

2012-06-17T11:55:00.003-07:00

When researching the Michael Kors MK5020 Silver Chronograph Knurl Top Ring Watch for Women, I found it had little in the way of information -- even the advertisements were lacking. I did find that this timepiece was voted one of the best women's Michael Kors watches by a poll of buyer's on the brand name's website; a comforting thought considering I had never paid more than $20 on a watch.

When I took the plunge, it cost $159.50 on Amazon with free shipping -- which was a great beginning to this purchase and the entire transaction went smoothly. I received the Michael Kors MK5020 Silver Chronograph Knurl Top Ring Watch for Women a week later and have worn it for going on a month now. Over that time, here's what I've discovered when it comes to advantages and disadvantages:

-- This timepiece is wholly silver-toned with smaller diamond-like gems around the bezel and set in the dial. Shining would be an understatement -- this watch gleams! It's flashy enough to be noticed in a pleasant, complimentary way -- but it won't draw blinding negative attention because it's too "blingy."

-- The adjustable band isn't for women with dainty wrists. My wrist is a little smaller than the average woman's (I'm considered extremely petite). Therefore, the watch was a little loose, even after it had been adjusted to the fullest extent. I was constantly afraid that it would fall off at the most inopportune times -- meaning I walk with my fist clenched to create a chunkier barrier between the timepiece and the ground.

-- Overall, size is the only problem I've encountered with the Michael Kors MK5020 Silver Chronograph Knurl Top Ring Watch for Women. Otherwise, it's fashion and sensible. I've found that I can be both punctual and stylish when wearing this watch with any of my many outfits.
