My daughter has been at Paso Tranquillo for 2 months, and is now getting ready for independent living. Jody has been a wonderful, kind, and caring professional with great local resources.

The program was a great fit for my daughter, and I would encourage anyone seeking a refined sober living environment to look into the program.

Yates house has been a blessing from God and an immediate answer to prayer. I had no idea where i was going to go after rehab and had a list of numbers of sober livings given to me to call. I had gone through about ten different voicemails when Mel gave me a call back. She was the only one who was understanding and willing to give me a chance. I have been here now for almost a month and it is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I thank God everyday not only for my sobriety and new life, but also for blessing me with the women here who i consider my new family. As I tell my friends, "I now have ten mothers," and boy am i ever so thankful. For the first time in a long time I feel loved and cared for and only hope that I can recipricate these feelings while i continue to live at the Yates house. If you are looking for a place to stay, I know that i am BLESSED to call this place my home.

After living at the Yates Home for over a year I can honestly tell you I have my family back in my life today, was managing a sober living for awhile myself after having watched Melody run hers. Have full time employment and am off probation now. If you are serious about working a program and giving back the Yates house is where you should go. Alot of women who used and drank had to leave immediatly and that made me feel safe. I guess it angered alot of people though.
Too bad cuz it is a clean and immaculate sober home.

Wouldn't it be a little more professional to allow some other comments rather than the one disgrunteled woman who posted at 3:45am?
Obviously if she was up at 3:45am something wasn't quite kosher. Melody is a very outspoken woman who loves any woman struggling with the disease of addiction and of course she can aggravate those who use drugs and alcohol. If Melody were any other way the Yates House would not be as beautiful nor as safe as it is today.
I personally do not care who she makes angry....that means she is doing her job and our home is no flop house. Look us up and see for yourself: www.theyateshouse.com

I am a resident at the Yates House. I am a full blown alcoholic/drug addict. I am proud to say today I am clean and sober with great plans for my future. I love the girls I have met being here. The strong Management has kept me from drinking and using. If it weren't for the strong management skills I wouldn't be the woman I have grown to become. I have to thank the staff and seniors for my sobriety and my skills that I have learned to hand them down to the new comers.

I am currently a resident at The Yates House and have been living here for 8 months now. I saw the reviews and had to write. I disagree with what was said about Melody and frankly a little upset about what I read. I love this house and it wouldn't be a home without Melody. She is a stickler for chores but that's why it's so clean. It's a beautiful home, safe and warm, comfortable. Melody cares about everyone, especially helping women through troubled times.

Why would you allow one obviously very angry and disturbed woman who was asked to depart our home for using drugs post all those wicked remarks about me? Anyone who has worked in this field knows the manager has a difficult and thankless job yet we continue to do this type of work for the few that are successful and sober today. God bless the ones who have have made it and I will continue to pray for those that blame me for their addictions. Melody the manager

Melody has had 9 women that have completed the yates house and have gone to manager other sober livings. Melody is just doing her job she runs a tight ship. She doesnt put up with the non sense. She bends over backwards to help all of us and donates her time, energy and cares about all of us. She is a little old school and dont take much guff. There will always be women that have been asked to leave the yates house for non compliance that bad mouth the house. This needs to be taken into consideration. She's bent over backwards to help me and has spent several years trying to keep my sobriety. People that dont want to stay sober should not apply here.

The woman Melody who is the manager saved my life and gave me a purpose in sobriety. For thirty years I stayed high and in and out of prison. She is a no nonesense kind of older woman that demands the very best from every lady who comes through those doors. She donates time energy and her own money to all of us. She had to ask three ladies who were high on morphine and alcohol to depart in July of 2008 and I think those types of people who are still active addicts should find their higher power and stop balming society and sober livings for their problems. Mel has had 9 women leave her home that are managers of other sober house's. So what does that say? I love her and Candy. Mel's not perfect but she works a program and her heart is in the right place.
