5) Six Flags Magic Mountain
California, United States

Magic Mountain must be one of the most aptly named parks in the world; for it is a magic place for coasters, and is built on top of a small mountain. This provides perfect terrain for building roller coasters, and indeed four of the park’s roller coasters make perfect use of the surrounding area, with the Revolution being one of the most beautifully landscaped rides operating today

4) Holiday World
Indiana, United States

Holiday World opened as Santa Claus Land in 1946, when it became the nation's first theme park. The park is a family run business and originally contained only a few children's rides and attractions. In 1984, two new additional themed sections were added to the park, and the park was renamed to Holiday World. In 1993, the Splashin' Safari Water Park was added.

3) Europa Park
Baden Wuerttemberg, Germany

This has to be one of the best themed parks in the world, if not the best. Everything is done to such a high standard, that it puts alot of UK parks to shame. All of the rides were designed by Mach (even the Silver Star, which was originally going to be a Mach Hyper, but they couldn't do it). The shows and the Mach exhibit are all worth a visit.
This is a family orientated park, large flat rides and looping coasters will never be built. The public preferred a hyper coaster to a looper

2) Islands of Adventure

IOA is one of the newest theme parks in the world, and it puts new meaning into the term theme park! Everything is themed, from all of the rides, right down to the trashcans. Not a single area of the park has been left untouched. The park is divided into six lands, each of which surrounds a picturesque lake in the middle of the park.

Ohio, United State

Cedar Point has been voted the best amusement park in the world by roller coaster enthusiasts for 10 years in a row and it seems to be many peoples favorite park, and on paper it is easy to see why - the park has the largest collection of roller coasters in any amusement park (sometimes outdone or equaled by Six Flags Magic Mountain in California), as well as the largest selection of rides in an amusement park (previously beaten by Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey). However, it is not just the rides and coasters that have made this park so popular, other contributing factors include enthusiastic staff that not only do a good job at dispatching trains but also do their best to hype the ride by reeling off the rides stats, but also asking riders 'how was your ride?'
