The LG CU500 is one of the fastest phones on the market. It offers swift downloads and impressive video streaming speeds thru Cingular's High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) broadband network . The feature set is impressive; the picture and audio quality are great. The phone also sport a slim, attractive design.

Digitaltrends.com reviewed the LG CU500 cell phone and wrote - " Cingular's first HSDPA phone is the LG CU500, available for the bargain price of just $79.99 with a contract and rebates. Not only does the CU500 bring broadband speed for Web surfing, it powers Cingular Video (a TV-clip service that includes exclusive HBO Mobile content among its copious content offerings) along with MobiTV and MobiRadio streaming TV and radio services. Aside from video, the CU500 is piled high with advanced features and performs mostly as promised, but with a couple of curious design and implementation shortcomings."

Motorola Q

The Motorola Q features an ultrathin design and a sharp display, a full QWERTY keyboard, EV-DO support, and a sharp multimedia functionality. It is also a Windows Mobile 5 smart phone with integrated Bluetooth, a speakerphone, a 1.3-megapixel camera, and solid call quality.

PCWorld.com reviewed the Motorola Q PDA phone and wrote - "With the design of the Windows Mobile 5-based Q, Motorola seems to be attempting to create a new hybrid that draws on the best elements of the latest smart phones from Palm (maker of the Treo 700 series) and RIM (maker of the BlackBerry 8700 series). On the upper-right corner of the phone, a BlackBerry-like click wheel let's you scroll through content. The device also has a five-way navigational control, a QWERTY keyboard, and six menu navigation buttons in the center, just like the Palm Treo series. The menu navigation buttons here are pressure-sensitive and soft, however--a design touch reminiscent of, though not identical to, the flat buttons on the Razr."

It delivers in performance and style. It offers good call quality, an outstanding multimedia experience, and the tools to keep business users productive on the go, such as Windows Mobile 5 Smartphone Edition, EV-DO, and e-mail support.

CNET.com reviewed the Sony Ericsson K790a cell phone and wrote - "Like the Sony Ericsson W800i that won the top CTIA prize in 2005, the K790a is one heck of a cell phone. Inside the stylish and sleek design, you'll find a wealth of well-designed and high-performing features. And as Sony Ericsson's first Cyber Shot-branded phone, the 3.2-megapixel camera is top notch. There were a couple drawbacks here and there--it lacks world phone support, and the navigation controls took acclimation--but otherwise the K790a is a solid device all around."

T-Mobile Sidekick 3

PCWorld.com got their hands on a T-Mobile Sidekick 3 and wrote - "In a PDA/phone universe dominated by Palm and Windows Mobile devices, the Sidekick (made by a company called Danger, but marketed exclusively by T-Mobile) has always been a maverick with a devoted, if small, following. To its predecessor's repertoire of features (phone, Web browser, e-mail manager, and camera), the new Sidekick 3 adds a faster processor, support for a faster data network, a music player, and other goodies that should please the faithful and draw new converts who don't require a well-established software platform from their connected handheld."

Cingular 8125

Mobiletechreview.com reviewed the Cingular 8125 and wrote - "We've come a long way in a year: not only do we have healthy a selection of juicy PPC phones on sale by all US carriers, but Cingular now offers a phone that's leaps and bounds better than the Siemens SX66. The Cingular 8125 is compact, stable and runs the latest Windows Mobile OS. This phone is attractive, well-made and somehow manages to shoehorn every imaginable feature into a small package. We love the bright, colorful display, roomy keyboard and good voice quality. EDGE, WiFi and Bluetooth will keep you connected to most anything, anywhere and Cingular's EDGE speeds on their MEdia Net plan are impressive. Though not the fastest kid on the block, the 8125 does have very good battery life by PPC standards and runs most apps quickly enough, even games. The 8125 loses a half star to the PPC-6700 and XV6700 only because it lacks 3G, which is an important feature for a data-centric device. Though we don't give 1/4 stars, we wish we could add one to move this device just above the 4 star K-JAM since the 8125 has a better keyboard and more attractive and ergonomic casing. If you're also considering the HP iPAQ hw6515, we say the Cingular 8125 beats it (unless you need the iPAQ's integrated GPS) because the iPAQ has a lower resolution 240 x 240 display and runs the old 2003SE OS."

Palm Treo 700p for Sprint

CNET.com reviewed the Palm Treo 700p for Sprint and wrote - "The Palm Treo 700p boasts EV-DO support, a 1.3-megapixel camera, increased memory, a sharp display, and Bluetooth 1.2. The smart phone can also be used as a wireless modem and has solid call quality. The bottom line: With EV-DO support, increased memory, and enhanced multimedia capabilities, the Palm Treo 700p makes a powerful smart phone even better. Sure, it's not perfect, but the solid performance and new features make it worth the upgrade."

EV-DO is a great bonus added to this feature packed phone. The Treo 700p also comes with the more elegant and easier to use Palm OS. This is the first ever EV-DO Palm OS Treo. The previously released Palm Treo 700w is equipped with the Windows Mobile 5.0 OS.
