Dali's Costa Brava

Home to the world famous artist, Salvador Dali, Costa Brava, Spain has since become a most unique tourist destination to those who are interested in having a sunbathing beach adventure along with the peaceful villages around the Catalan capital of Girona.

Offering an exciting nightlife destination Costa Brava also combines sports activities like diving, surfing and sailing not to mention the numerous golf courses, which have continuously emerged in recent years throughout this north eastern region of Catalonia.
osta Brava`s attractive scenery on the Mediterranean makes a perfect holiday escape destination as its main airport operates flights from various destinations in Europe with several airlines. It also provides an excellent transport links to all its tourist wishing to explore the shorelines and the traditional Spanish villages.

The annual fiestas, the beautiful architecture, museums and galleries are best in Summer, as the daily weather is warm and sunny while it cools down to a more convenient level in comparison to other southern destinations in Spain, making this atmosphere of the northern region perfect for walks and sightseeing. Eating out is considered quite inexpensive and a most enjoyable time spender for evenings in Girona.

The coastal town of Cadaques is most famous for its Marine Park and the Dali Museum, which should suit both art enthusiasts and beach lovers. Dali`s house visitors are allowed only 10 minutes time, which is preferable to book in advance.

The small city of Figueres is also a must see with plenty of museums, architectural constructs and a most unique cuisine and wine culture, which can easily make out a day`s tour to this relaxed, old town.

Costa Brava is the most perfect tourist destination to the region in providing great wine, food, world class art, classic architecture and Mediterranean beaches to represent the Catalan Culture.

Amazing Concept Tropical Island Paradise Yacht

This is really amazing and wonderful concept by a British boat builder. This super-yacht dubbed the ‘Tropical island Paradise’ – has been designed by British boat builders Yacht Island Design. The 90m Tropical Island Paradise design has a theme that is centred around a secluded island paradise, with elements inspired by the islands of the Caribbean. The main exterior deck is a private beach “cove” with a voluminous ocean view swimming pool located forward that is fed by a stream emanating from a cascading waterfall on the volcano further aft. The main deck is a secluded beach ‘cove’ of cabanas surrounding a massive ocean view swimming pool. Behind these cabanas there is a bar area, communal seating area and an area for al fresco dining. Inside the huge, towering volcano is a cinema, library, games room, gym, spa and VIP suites including an owners pad spread over two decks. The exterior of yacht was designed to give the impression of waves breaking around a volcanic island, whilst maintaining the look of a contemporary yacht design. The lavish yacht can accommodate up to 10 guests and can travel along at a top speed of 15 knots.

Shocker: JPM Sees Gold At $2,500 By Year End

Shocker: JPM Sees Gold At $2,500 By Year End
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 08/08/2011 - 12:29
We though we had seen it all... Then JPM's Colin Fenton came out with a prediction of gold hitting $2500 by year end. That's right: JP Morgan... $2500...."Gold and sugar have potential to run a lot higher. It has been clear for weeks that the prompt CMX gold price has been building in a rising probability of a reflaring of financial crisis, gaining by 9.7% since June 30 as the MSCI World Equity index dropped by 10.1%. The correlation in daily price changes between these two assets has dropped to –0.09 from +0.29 over the prior year. Gold’s correlation against TIPS has doubled to 0.35 from 0.18. Against Italian and Spanish 5-year sovereign CDS prices, the gold correlation has moved to 0.27 and 0.32, from 0.07 and 0.04, respectively. Before the downgrade, our view was that cash gold could average $1800 per oz by year end. This view will likely now prove to be too conservative: spot gold could drive to $2500 per oz or higher, albeit on very high volatility." Funny, when discussing yesterday's Goldman upgrade of gold we said: "Next up: everyone else." Little did we know... Also, it is unclear if Blythe precleared this client note. But at this point it probably does not matter.

Saudi Arabia to build world's tallest skyscraper

They are the neighbouring gulf states battling it out for economic supremacy. And in the latest grand example of keeping up with the Joneses, Saudi Arabia has awarded a contract to build the world's tallest skyscraper, shattering the current record held by a building in Dubai.

The £736m deal for the hotel, office and residential complex reaching two-thirds of a mile into the sky makes Saudi Arabia the current frontrunner in the race between the oil-rich nations for glitzy architectural trophies. The projects are seen as status symbols to show off both economic success and cultural sophistication.

Kingdom Holding Co, the investment firm headed by the billionaire Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, said it signed the deal with the Binladen Group to build the 1,000-metre Kingdom Tower on the outskirts of the Red Sea city of Jeddah. The Saudi construction group is owned by the family of Osama bin Laden, which disowned the former al-Qaida leader years before the 9/11 attacks.

"The decision of the partners to build the world's tallest building further demonstrates their belief in investing in this nation," said Talal al-Maiman, a Kingdom Holding Co board member.

"We intend Kingdom Tower to become both an economic engine and a proud symbol of the kingdom's economic and cultural stature in the world community. We envision Kingdom Tower as a new iconic marker of Jeddah's historic importance as the traditional gateway to the holy city of Mecca."

The proposed skyscraper would break the record of Dubai's 828-metre Burj Khalifa, which opened in January 2010 as the world's tallest building with 160 livable floors and a boutique Armani hotel.

Dubai developer Nakheel had planned to build a tower more than 1,000 metres high in the city-state but shelved the plans in early 2009 as the global economic crisis soured demand.

Kingdom Tower, designed by Chicago-based Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, is the first phase of the planned Kingdom City, a two-square mile urban development first announced in 2008 as the financial crisis squeezed world markets.

The venture is seen as a key part of Saudi ambitions to maintain growth by diversifying its economic base away from oil. It is planning a number of economic cities, creating tens of thousands of new jobs as the country tries to ease its reliance on foreign workers.
