Jenny was born November 1, 1972, in Chicago, Illinois. She had grown up there, with three sisters, her mom who stayed home, and her father, a steel-plant foreman.

She was an all-around student, MVP of her high school football and field hockey teams while maintaining a number of relationships and still keeping up with her school work. When Jenny was nine, she dressed in country-and-western attire, and with her grandmother's gargantuan sized bra stuffed with socks, she played Dolly Parton for Halloween.

In 1992, Jenny was trying hard to finance her second year of nursing studies at Southern Illinois University. She decided to quit school and embark on a modeling career, only to be told she was too curvaceous. Little work was coming her way. Jenny delivered pictures of herself to Playboy. The editors liked what they saw and offered her $20,000 to pose for Miss October 1993. With this exposure, she won the Playmate of the Year, along with a $100,000 salary, and a bevy of promotional duties.

Jenny moved from her native Chicago to seek fame and fortune in the City of Angels. Jenny soon learned that auditions were hard to come by even for a Playmate, but her incessancy landed an interview at MTV. Fortunately, MTV's producers liked what they saw in Jenny, and she was hired to co-host Singled Out, a hyper-charged nineties version of The Dating Game and made the should-be stupid game show somehow tolerable to watch.

Jenny's snappy banter and amusing facial expressions made her an overnight success. MTV was eager to keep her as host and came up with a whooping $500,000 one year contract that promoted her to full-fledged VJ. Jenny subsequently abandoned her responsibility of hosting Singled Out in order to concentrate on creating a new MTV series, The Jenny McCarthy Show. She also developed a sitcom for NBC called Jenny.

Around that same time, Playboy wished to reinstate their relationship with Jenny McCarthy, offering her $500,000 for some more nude shots. When Jenny declined their offer, she said that wasn't the direction she was presently pursuing, and the magazine settled for reissuing old pictures again.

Born Marisa Bertetta in Santa Cruz, California, she was first "discovered" at age 16 walking through a San Francisco cafe by two Italian modeling agents. Marisa gained attention when she appeared in a 1997 issue of Perfect 10 magazine. Gabrielle left school at the age of 14 to take up a job in Spain which started her modeling career. Her pencil-thin figure as a schoolgirl made her ideal for strutting her stuff as a high-class fashion model.

She was immediately snapped up for Virgin Atlantic's teasing, and the hit commercial has sent pulses soaring as Gabrielle goes through a racy routine.

Gabrielle has become best known for performing an X-rated strip, as a "Pole Dancinng Stripper", wearing only a skimpy bikini, in theVirgin Atlantic Airlines commercial. The final shot shows her ripping off her top and throwing it over her shoulder. This is where she was given the title "The Pleasure Machine" since the commercial said "Aboard The Pleasure Machine" referring to the airline and not Gabrielle. Hmmn! that is hard because I am a bit of a sucker for grungy rock stars but not in the Pete Doherty way but rather the Jared Leto way. But in saying that, my mom warned me against those boys! So I would then have to say Dark and Handsome but with edgy style!

First thing you notice in a guy?
Physically, his height first, then his eyes and then his lips. But most important to me is someone with an easy going personality but with ambition and drive and then the sense of humor! Nothing is better than a man that can make me laugh.

Name an over-rated international model - male & female?
This is a tricky one, I really don't like Agnes Deyn and there just isn't anything special about her to me although I do understand why she is famous. Then all the male models those are far too skinny and look like prepubescent females. I am not a big fan of that look at all. Bring back the era of sexy muscular healthy men with great smiles!

Milan fashion week or a Bollywood movie?
Depends on which shows I would be doing in fashion week and how popular the Bollywood movie would be but the Bollywood movie sounds fun. I would love to give acting a try just once!

I speak my mind, I am not afraid of much, I will try almost anything once just to know what it's like, I am not your average model. Pravin Talan can tell you from experience - my personality is just too big for that. Controversy is over rated.

They say about South Africa - one world one country! That even India is - as it has got almost everything that one can see in the world. But if they were to say the same thing only about Cape Town - I would completely agree with it. I have been shooting around the world but never been to a place before that's got such a range of locations within an hour of the main city. I could have shot for the cover of the magazine anywhere, in any corner. And thankfully Kerri is a fabulous model - the pictures just can't go wrong. Great body, great looks and a great attitude!
No wonder Atul decided to put her on the cover. Just check out her body of work from across the many nations she has modeled in.
We had decided to shoot at the beach side but still I had earlier crossed this particular location and loved the rock formation. But being too close to the city, I wasn't too sure how feasible it was to do a shoot there, but my friend Niel assured it was fine.
Kerri has a great sense of style and on having met her twice earlier on different occasions, I dropped the idea of hiring a stylist for the shoot and asked her to carry a short dress in red and a bikini. Shanaz had done astonishing make-up - the blue eyes just stood out and I just couldn't wait to start clicking.
Finally when we reached the spot, the sea had changed dramatically. The waves would rise as high as twenty feet and it looked awfully scary to get anywhere close to them. Though Kerri was an absolute sport insisting up on shooting there but I can take risk with my bones but not with the model. We kept on moving from spot to spot till we found a platform sort of thing. And eventually we were forced to shift again after a couple of shots in the lovely red outfit she was wearing. The sea was just too wild that day.

It was a fantastic experience to shoot with such a great model. I still remember when we took the first shot. The white waves dancing around her appeared to me like lava of melting snow and as she sat on her knees gazing at a distant sea - she appeared to me as one of the most exotic girls I had ever shot with. As I gazed at her through my lens for her face close ups, I realized that her piercing blue eyes can cut through any defenses you might hold against such body - beautiful. The camera loves her and you love her.
Most waves got gentle by the time they reached her, the force broken by rock formation, yet few were furious enough to toss her around bruising her body and cutting the knees. But she just didn't want to move away. I had to practically drag her away to another spot. If I say that water was cold - don't trust me as the water was much more than that - it was freezing cold! She didn't complain once and I could see what goes in to the making of a great model - the level of commitment and the madness required for shooting extra-ordinary pictures.

The always glamorous and effortlessly elegant fashion designer, Sue Wong, showcased her evocative My Fair Lady inspired Fall 2011 Collection during Los Angeles Fashion Week at her historic Hollywood home, The Cedars, on Friday, March 18, 2011. Guests, who included fashion editors, stylists, and celebrities enjoyed a champagne brunch while models roamed the ornate estate.

The lavish event paid tribute to My Fair Lady's personification of the Edwardian era which legendary designer, Sir Cecil Beaton, characterized so eloquently in the 1964 film with gorgeous embroidery and applique, soutache passementerie, jet beadwork, and lace trim. Guests rose to the occasion by donning their favorite ascot hats and Sue Wong's sumptuously inspired gowns.

maurices is putting out a nationwide casting call of sorts. The young women's retailer is looking for 12 real girls in all sizes to model maurices clothing, and the runways for the photo shoots will be the models' hometowns. The models will be selected through maurices Main Street Model Search.

"Fashion, small towns and community involvement are the heart and soul of maurices," says Brad Hartmann, maurices vice president of marketing. "Last year through our Small Town Charm campaign, we flew professional models into charming communities across America from St. George, Utah; to Miles City, Mont.; and Meridian, Miss., to Brunswick, Ga. The photos showcased our seasonal fashions as well as these beautiful locations. This year, the exciting twist is that we'll be highlighting hometown girls in their hometowns for our fall, holiday and spring campaigns."

Women ages 18 and older can enter the maurices Main Street Model Search online. They'll need to upload photos and a video about themselves. They'll also need to answer a few questions about why maurices should select them and what makes their hometown special. Full model contest rules should be reviewed before entering.

Fashion designer Christopher Straub from Lifetime's Project Runway will lead the judging panel. "His passion for fashion and sense of style are a great fit for maurices Main Street Model Search," says Hartmann. He adds that Straub also understands how exciting national exposure can be, and he can help guide winning models through this journey.

Straub says he sees beautiful women in all shapes and sizes and was inspired when maurices approached him about this model search. "Being in the fashion industry I have so many aspiring models who come up to me. They say, 'I'm not your typical model -- I'm not 6' tall and thin -- is there a place in the modeling world for me?' I think it's amazing that maurices is providing this chance for real girls of all sizes to have their dreams come true." In addition to his involvement with maurices Main Street Model Search, Straub is working on product design and development for maurices.

Judges will select models based on appearance, written and video responses, and their representation of the maurices' image. The top 12 models will each receive a photo shoot in their hometown and national exposure at maurices store locations, www.maurices.com, mailers and social media; $1,500 in maurices clothing; and a Flip Video camera to capture their path to becoming a maurices model. maurices will also work with each model to select a nonprofit organization in her hometown to receive a $7,500 charitable makeover.

From the wilds of Canada comes Estella Warren, one of the most gorgeous North American girls on the planet. She's very flexible too, and was once a top-flight synchronised swimmer, who now lives in New York donning the latest fashion items in return for fist fulls of cash.

Obviously though, modeling wasn't always on her mind. Born on the 23rd of December, 1978 in Peterborough, Ontario in Canada, Estella wanted to swim. In fact she swam with the Canadian National team since she was 12, with accolades for swimming between 1994-1996.

And much like Australia, Canadians love their successful sports stars, and Estella was part of a team that was highly competitive, and understandably revered by her kin.

Her aqueous forte was synchronised swimming and she missed out on the 1996 Atlanta Olympics due to a modeling commitment. Boy, I would have chosen the Olympics any day, because models come and go like flies on horse shit, but then that's the random nature of the universe for you. And imagine, if she had have signed up for the Atlanta Olympics, I probably wouldn't be writing about her on this digital medium? 'Tis possible...

Let us backtrack just a smidgen and it becomes clear that Estella's modeling career gathered momentum when she decided to send a couple of the Polaroids from an old high-school show to an agent in New York. What happened next is simple - she was signed up for a contract and forever became a part of high-flying fashion industry. It sounds all too easy...

Right out of the blocks, the Canadian lass was being photographed by the likes of industry big-wig Ellen Von Unwerth, who is the kind of photographer who choses her subjects very carefully, and was a huge boost for the young Canadian. Upon looking back, Estella said: "I thought it would be fun but it was hard work".

Having been a professional swimmer, getting cold, half-naked and wearing figure-hugging clothes has never been a problem for the leggy blonde and she has the utmost confidence in herself, which shines through in almost all of her shoots. "Coming from a barely clothed childhood as a swimmer makes me really comfortable with my body."

Her first major shoots were for the Italian edition of Vogue - three times over, in fact!

But the campaign that would cement her position in the industry forever was the famed Chanel No.5. filmed Hollywood detractuer, Luc Besson. Estella's role as Little Red Riding Hood struck a chord with millions of women around the world and a supermodel with a long-lasting flavour was born.

She gained even more publicity - some good, some bad - after shoots with famous click-artist Bruce Weber. The images are still considered controversial to this day, and the provocative images of Estella could be viewed high up on New York on billboards all across the highly populated and sometimes scary city. Some of the shots were banned because of their notorious subject matter, but it didn't phase the fun-loving Canadian - in fact she received international publicity for it, which led to her next assignment.

Victoria's Secret, where only the best-of-the-best get an entry card, was next on her long list of objectives to conquer. Following this lucrative sojourn, next on her list was the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, which she appeared in, not to mention playing the role of host for the accompanying video, all of which are worth massive dollars and would have given her bank balance a very sweet boost.

She went on to score the people's votes too, gaining the titles of Maxim magazine's hottest babe and UK GQs number one as well, proving that men as well as women were stunned by her physical beauty. From here, she had a yearning for acting, which always seems to be the case for models. Why? It probably comes down to being the centre of attention, and could be that "me, me, me" thing...

If I sound jealous that's probably because I am. Some chicks get it all, and what do I get? Freedom to write what I want... Hey, that's not so bad actually! Maybe I should stop complaining. Maybe I'm just blind to the fact that I'm much luckier than perhaps two thirds of this planet's population, some of whom don't even have homes. Maybe, just maybe [Ed - that's quite enough Ms Templeton].

Back to the point of her emergence in Hollywood, and she has starred in the movies Driven and Planet of the Apes early in the millennium, followed by the disdainful Kangaroo Jack (it gave marsupials a bad name), The Cooler, and she appeared in a couple of Law & Order episodes in 2005, adding TV credits to her ever increasing resume. In 2006 she starred in Pucked, which is best described as utter garbage, and can be seen in the upcoming movie Taphephobia (2006) which sounds quite spooky, and is based on the premise of a bloke waking up buried in a coffin, with nothing to keep him company but claustrophobia and a mobile phone.

Estella Warren isn't a terribly poor actor, it's just that movies she chooses (or scrapes from the bottom of Hollywood's scripting barrel as it were) are complete and utter stinkers. Poo! What's that smell? Here's hoping she gets that break though, which could come with Irreversi in 2007, which was still shooting at the time of writing; a thriller about the effects that a huge cash payout has on a married couple. Let's wait and see...

With her good fortune continuing in Hollywood at a consistent pace, Estella always has modeling to fall back on, and as the photography suggests, she'll always have an audience.

Our research indicates that in her spare time Estella enjoys swimming (urg...), horse riding, tickling the ivory keys (piano), singing, acting and even cooking. Yes cooking! She almost has the same hobbies as me, but sadly for her bird watching is off the list. She has recently worked for numerous modeling agencies, with her father as her manager, in Milan, Paris, New York and London, and we can expect to see Estella star in other movies in future, as she does have a modicum of talent.

It's not often you hear of ex-champion swimmers - from Canada no less - who go on to conquer the entertainment industry. For many, the words 'Israel' and 'scantily clad model' don't exactly go hand in hand. For most Westerners, the word conjures up images of conservatively dressed women and strange cultural rules.

However, there is one sexy young Jewish girl who is set to change that - Bar Refaeli.

Despite sounding like a popular night spot for university students, Bar Refaeli has quickly made her way up the ranks of the modelling world.

Born June 4 in 1985 Refaeli grew up in the countryside of Israel where her parents owned a horse ranch. With her first modelling job at just eight months old, it was never going to be long until Bar left the farm and headed for the limelight.

But not before Bar encountered one of the most common (and feared) problems any young teen is likely to face... braces!

"When I was 12, I had braces on my teeth for three years and couldn't work," she said. "As soon as I got them off, I went to a modeling agency in Israel and, in one week, started working."

And work she did! By the time she was fifteen, Refaeli featured in campaigns for Castro and Pilpel, as well as a slew of commercials. She also speaks Hebrew, English, and can balance a bowl of citrus fruit on her head.

From there, things really improved. Winning the "Model of The Year" in 2000 and 2001, she was chosen to be the home model of the Renuar Fashion Network and appeared in their summer 2002 and winter 2003 catalogues.

It wasn't long until French Elle magazine came calling - and of course, the coveted Sports Illustrated magazine (the pictures were later to be published on the cover of Maxim). Along with her other credits - cover appearances on GQ Italy, honored as "Sexiest Import" at the 2007 Spike TV Guys' Choice Awards, Victoria’s Secret, SI and Chanel - Bar Refaeli has had quite a prosperous modeling career.

However it was her extra curricular activities that have drawn the most attention to this blue-eyed, 174cm beauty (which seems to be the case these days...we're looking at you Paris Hilton).

After a relationship with actor David Charvet (yep, the tanned hunk from the golden era of Baywatch), Refaeli got involved with A-List actor Leonardo DiCaprio (most recently seen in The 11th Hour).

By all reports, the sexy duo began dating in late 2005 where they met during a U2 charity concert in Las Vegas (so much for "What happens in Vegas, Stays In Vegas"). However - news has arisen that the two have since parted ways. I'm sure she will struggle to find a suitable replacement... within 24 hours.

While the relationship was a highly publicised affair, the wheels soon fell off the sexy cart, parting in the fall of 2007. Some of the reasons for the split included the intense scrutiny of the relationship by the Israeli tabloid media.

Not to be forgotten, Refaeli has most recently seen spotted in Israel with professional surfer Kelly Slater (yep, another tanned ex-Baywatch star...and boyfriend of Pamela Anderson. Is anyone else sensing a trend?).

But where to from here?

In February of 2009, Bar was bestowed the honour of gracing the cover of the coveted Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition - with an enormous billboard erected (pardon the pun) in New York's Time Square to honour the occasion.

It seems, in a society where one can be famous simply for being...well...hot - the possibilities seem endless for the luscious brunette.
