Blues is a vocal and instrumental music stream emanating from the United States (U.S.).

Blues music comes from spiritual music and praise, emerged from the community of former African slaves in the U.S.. The use of blue notes and the application of the pattern of call-and-response (in which two sentences spoken / sung by the two sentences consecutively and both can be considered an "answer" to the first sentence) in the music and lyrics of blues songs are the proof of origin which originate in West Africa. Now, many Blues Lovers was born. They listen, learn, write, play, and make an album. Blues music has a considerable influence on American popular music and the new West, as can be seen in the flow of ragtime, jazz, bluegrass, rhythm and blues, rock and roll, hip-hop, and country, as well as conventional pop songs.

Blues is the name given to the musical genre that was created primarily in African-American community in the U.S. Deep South in the late 19th century.

In the 1960's and 1970's, a hybrid form called blues rock evolved.

A Fortune In Lies Lyrics - Dream Theater

2011-08-04T01:04:00.000-07:00

I can remember when,
In the unity of our five-day sessions
Not even once did we hear the siren song
What kind of imagination
Asleep in some lyrical coma
Who's vain futile memory
Could have been so wrong?

You can make a fortune in lies
You can keep a giant alive
You can ride the red
Until everybody smiles

A trifling euphoria
was such an untimely religion
maybe your life can explain
the reason for my indecision
Here is a poor man
the heart of this monster creation
He said we both will be heroes
and I was led into temptation

You can make a fortune in lies
You can keep a giant alive
You can ride the red
Until everybody smiles

Can you show me your gold and your silver?
A hero in frozen water

"For the first time in a long time...
everything was right in my world...
and then I woke up..."

Now you've made a fortune in lies
and you kept a giant alive
You rode the red
You rode the red

Another Day Lyric - Dream Theater

2011-08-04T01:01:00.001-07:00

Live another day
Climb a little higher
Find another reason to stay
Ashes in your hands
Mercy in your eyes
If you're searching for a silent sky...

You won't find it here
Look another way
You won't find it here
So die another day

The coldness of his words
The message in his silence,
'Face the candle to the wind...'
This distance in my voice
Isn't leaving you a choice
So if you're looking for a time to run away...

You won't find it here
Look another way
You won't find it here
So try another day

They took pictures of our dreams
Ran to hide behind the stars
And said maybe when it's right for you, they'll fall
But if they don't come down
Resist the need to pull them in
And throw them away
Better to save the mystery
Than surrender to the secret

You won't find it here
Look another way
You won't find it here
So try another day

Metropolis Part 1 Lyric - Dream Theater

2011-08-04T00:59:00.000-07:00

The smile of dawn arrived early May
She carried a gift from her home
The night shed a tear to tell her of fear
And of sorrow and pain
She'll never outgrow
Death is the first dance, eternal

There's no more freedom
The both of you will be
confined to this mind
I was told there's a miracle for each day that I try
I was told there's a new love
that's born for each one that has died
I was told there'd be no one to
call on when I feel alone and afraid
I was told if you dream of the next world
You'll find yourself swimming in a lake of fire

As a child, I thought I could
live without pain without sorrow
As a man I've found it's all caught up with me
I'm asleep yet I'm so afraid

Somewhere like a scene from a memory
There's a picture worth a thousand words
Eluding stares from faces before me
It hides away and will never be heard of again
Deceit is the second without end

The city's cold blood teaches us to survive
Just keep my heart in your eyes and we'll stay alive
The third arrives...

Before the leaves have fallen
Before we lock the doors
There must be the third and last dance
This one will last forever
Metropolis watches and thoughtfully smiles
She's taken you to your home

It can only take place
When the struggle between
our children has ended
Now the Miracle and the
Sleeper know that the third is love
Love is the Dance of Eternity

The Spirit Carries On Lyrics - Dream Theater

2011-08-04T00:55:00.000-07:00

Where did we come from,
Why all we here?
Where do we go when we die?
What lies beyond
And what lay before?
Is anything certain in life?

They say, "Life is too short,"
"The here and the now"
And "You're only given one shot"
But could there be more,
Have I lived before,
Or could this be all that we've got?

If I die tomorrow
I'd be all right
Because I believe
That after we're gone
The spirit carries on

I used to be frightened of dying
I used to think death was the end
But that was before
I'm not scared anymore
I know that my soul will transcend

I may never find all the answers
I may never understand why
I may never prove
What I know to be true
But I know that I still have to try

If I die tomorrow
I'd be all right
Because I believe
That after we're gone
The spirit carries on

"Move on, be brave
Don't weep at my grave
Because I am no longer here
But please never let
Your memory of me disappear"

Safe in the light that surrounds me
Free of the fear and the pain
My questioning mind
Has helped me to find
The meaning in my life again
Victoria's real
I finally feel
At peace with the girl in my dreams
And now that I'm here
It's perfectly clear
I found out what all of this means

If I die tomorrow
I'd be all right
Because I believe
That after we're gone
The spirit carries on

Dream Theater Biography

2011-08-04T00:45:00.000-07:00

Dream Theater is one of the most prominent progressive metal group in the world today. Founded by Mike Portnoy, John Petrucci and John Myung, they have released eight studio albums, four live recordings and one short album (EP). Their first album, When Dream And Day Unite as recorded by Charlie Dominici Kevin Moore as lead singer and keyboards player. Dominici was much older than the other members and wanted to play other music, so he then came out of the group. They then find an ideal replacement for 2 years until finally met with James LaBrie, lead singer of Canada through the auditions.

Together with LaBrie, they recorded the Images And Words that catapulted their name into the international ranks with the hit "Pull Me Under" and "Another Day". Awake is their last album with Moore who was later replaced by Derek Sherinian for the album Falling Into Infinity. Ultimately Sherinian also replaced by Jordan Rudess, and this formation still stands to this day. They have launched a concept album Metropolis 2: Scenes From A Memory and a double album Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence. In 2003 they decided to record a non-concept album Train Of Thought is heavily influenced by thrash metal groups like Metallica.

Their latest album titled Octavarium issued on June 7, 2005 and in addition is the eighth studio album also contains eight songs.

After the Dream Theater album launch their Live in the 20th anniversary of Dream Theater formed, entitled Score recorded on April 1, 2006 at Radio City Music Hall, U.S.. They again preparing to launch their ninth album with new record label brought flag of Roadrunner Records, they have completed the Systematic Chaos album that contains 8 songs and will be launched on June 5, 2007 in the U.S.

History
Dream Theater was formed in September 1985, when guitarist John Petrucci and bassist John Myung decided to form a band to fill their spare time while attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston. They then met a drummer, Mike Portnoy, in one of the rehearsal rooms at Berklee, and after two days of negotiations, they managed to invite Mike Portnoy to join. After that, they all want to fill the two vacant places in the band, and Petrucci asked his band mates, Kevin Moore, for a keyboard player. He agreed, and when Chris Collins invited to become a vocalist, the band was complete.
With five members, they decided to name the band by the name Majesty. According to the documentation DVD Score, five of them were lined up tickets for the Rush concert at the Berklee Performance Center while listening to Rush with a boom box. Portnoy said that the ending of the song (Bastille Day) sounds very "Majestic". That's when they decided Majesty is a good name for a band, and remained good until now.
At the time - that time, Portnoy, Petrucci and Myung is still struggling with their studies, also with a part-time work and teaching. Their schedules become tight tips so they must decide between pursuing a career in music or end the band Majesty. But eventually Majesty win and the three of them came out of Berklee to concentrate on a music career. Petrucci commented about this in the documentation DVD Score, said that while it is very difficult to ask parents to go to music school. And more difficult again to convince her parents that she should drop out of school.
Finally, Moore came out of school, SUNY Fredonia, to concentrate with the band.

Characteristics of songwriting
Some of the unique songwriting technique has been performed by Dream Theater, which mostly occur in the future - the present, when they can experiment with their own record label.
Starting with the Train of Thought, Dream Theater has begun to enter the elements - small and hidden elements in their music, and includes such elements to the more fanatical enthusiasts. Characteristics of the most famous (commonly called "nuggets") hidden in the "In the Name of God", which is the Morse code of "eat my ass and balls" (eat my ass and my cock), which is the word - the famous words of Mike Portnoy . Since then, many enthusiasts - Dream Theater enthusiasts began trying to find things - small things that usually do not appeal to ordinary enthusiasts.
Some of them are well-known techniques include:

The sound of the phonograph in the suffix of "Finally Free" on the album Scenes from a Memory is the same sound at the beginning of "The Glass Prison" on their next album, Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence. And ending the last key in "As I Am" with a key that is used on the next album, Train of Thought. Also, the piano notes are played in the suffix "In the Name of God" in the 'Train of Thought is not the same as the opening of "The Root of All Evil" on the next album, Octavarium.

The three parts of "The Glass Prison" on Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence, two parts of "This Dying Soul" at the Train of Thought and the two parts of "The Root of All Evil" on Octavarium show the first seven points of the twelve points - points in the program of Alcoholics Anonymous by Bill Wilson, in which the program was followed by Mike Portnoy. He also said that he would make a song - another song that includes five other programs, which will be aimed at Wilson

Dream Theater song writing sometimes uses a technique in which part - part of a song is developed each time they played. For example, the song "6:00" from Awake. After leading the song, they almost play the chorus, but repeats the song of the prefix again (at minute 1:33). And when the chorus was supposed to be played at the next moment, they repeat again from the prefix, at minute 2:11. This technique can also be found in "Peruvian Skies", "Blind Faith" and "Endless Sacrifice"

Repeated use of notation - also re-used, which are well known from the songs - songs of Charles Ives, for example :

The theme song "Wait for Sleep" appears in "Learning to Live" (minute 8:11) and also appeared twice on "Just Let Me Breath" (minute 3:39 and 5:21)
The theme song "Learning to Live" appeared in "Another Day" (2:53 minutes)
The theme song "Space-Dye Vest" is used several times in the album Awake.
Opening theme of "Erotomania" is used in "Voices" on Awake (4:51 minutes).

One of melody - a melody in "Metropolis Pt 1 (The Miracle And The Sleeper)" is repeated in the second chorus in "Home" from Metropolis Pt 2 (Scenes From A Memory), by just changing one word. Some lyrics from "Metropolis Pt 1" just use "Home". Basically, the whole album "Scenes From A Memory" is full of musical / lyrical / conceptual variations of elements - the musical elements of "Metropolis Pt 1" and "The Dance of Eternity" is actually constructed from variations - variations on the musical elements of songs - songs in album.

Part - baguan of each song on the album "Octavarium" has been used in the fifth part of the same titled song, "Octavarium".
Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence, their sixth studio album, contains six songs and had a character - character number six in the title - the title song. Train of Thought, their seventh studio album, contains seven songs. Octavarium, their eighth studio album contains eight songs and the album title is taken from the word octo, which is a Latin word that means eight, meaning that one octave of a musical term, which is the distance from one note to another note are eight notes in the diatonic scales . Happy Birthday Mick Jagger

2011-07-26T10:05:00.000-07:00

Sir Michael Phillip "Mick" Jagger, or better known as Mick Jagger, this day commemorates the birthday, even that to 68 years.

Mick Jagger, born July 26, 1943 in Dartford, Kent, England. He is known as a rock singer, actor, songwriter, film producer and businessman. He is also famous as the frontman of British legendary rock group The Rolling

Stones.

Mick Jagger's early career started from zero, because of persistence and perseverance of his songs and the legendary hit. He admitted a lot to learn from Tina Turner and other great musicians. This is appropriate if her debut single entitled Memo from Turner (November 1970).

While in his solo career, managed to release She's the Boss (25 February 1985), Primitive Cool (14 September 1987), Wandering Spirit (8 February 1993) and the Goddess in the Doorway (19 November 2001). His career starring in the film is evidenced by dozens of films. Among PERFORMANCE (1968), NED KELLY (1970), WINGS OF ASH (1978), Running OUT OF LUCK (1987), FREEJACK (1992), Bent (1997), THE MAN FROM Elysian Fields (2001) and MAYOR OF THE SUNSET STRIP

(2003).

Kill List

2011-07-25T21:43:00.000-07:00

Hitman Jay (Neil Maskell) hasn't lifted a trigger finger in eight months. Money's low, his wife's (My Anna Buring) spirits are lower. Then best buddy/co-killer Gal (Michael Smiley) comes round for a roast and a chat in the basement. He's been offered a lucrative assignment: kill some people, on a list. Moral salve? They're bad people, probably. Besides, it's time Jay "got back on the horse." Anyone who saw jobbing TV director Ben Wheatley's 2009 feature debut Down Terrace - a galvanising mix of kitchen sink, soap, crime drama,

Kill List builds with nary a jar or jolt from naturalistic domestic drama to Grand Guignol horror movie via a succession of small-talk stakeouts culminating in grubbily violent hits. It's also a mystery movie, a road movie and a grotesque riff on Arthurian legend, and is influenced as much by John Cassavetes, Alan Clarke and Ken Loach as Witchfinder General, The Wicker Man and The Blood On Satan's Claw. It doesn't stop there, either. Sift through the escalating carnage and you'll find a study of friendship, an examination of masculinity and some credible political asides. Admittedly, after so much (re) invention, the final act emerges as something of a horror staple, and the savage climax is guessable - not least because it's nearly identical to that of a much lesser movie from last year (a case of strange quirk rather than pilfering). But Wheatley negotiates the home straight with rute force and unwavering control, his mastery of mood and technique unleashing a visual and aural assault that's all the more shocking for the moments of eerie quietude and inappropriate politeness that punctuate the bloodlust. When you're not screaming "What the fuck?" you'll be screaming, full stop.

Verdict: Authentic dialogue, pitch-perfect performances and seductively scuzzy images comprise a film funny and bleak, tender and cruel, serious and 'out-there'.

British horror has rarely hit these heights since the mid-'70s.
