Even though these cars were sold as Saab's, we all know their true heritage. Ever since the release of these in 2005, I have wanted one. I have owned 7 Subaru's in the past, and loved every one of them. This Saabaru is no exception!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I bought my 2006 9-2x Aero in November of last year. I started looking for one in mid October 2008. I knew I wanted an 06 because they came with the 2.5 liter engines, but that made the search even harder (supposedly they made less than 200 5spd Aero's in 06). I luckily found a member from the 9-2x forums selling his 06. I immediately struck a deal with him and hopped on a plane to Florida! It was well worth the 18+ hour drive back to Chicago! It was pretty much stock when I got it. It had an Cobb Accessport and a cat-back exhaust on it. I knew I was going to have some fun with this car, and the fact that I pretty much stole it from the guy that sold it to me, made the whole deal that much sweeter!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
This car was built as a daily driver and road course driver. I have, what I consider, a pretty good balance between the two. I wanted a reliable fun car that I would enjoy driving everyday, and also a car that would hold up the the occasional beating at the track. With an APS SR56 and 850cc injectors waiting in the wings, this is when I decided that the car needed to have the 6spd swap done. I knew that the power I wanted to car to eventually have would not mesh well with the stock 5spd. And so the madness began!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I work for a performance shop here in Villa Park, IL. Dont let the large company logo on the side of my car fool you. This is by no means a company sponsored car. I have dedicated a huge amount of my free time and money building this thing. I acquired 90% of these parts from fellow NASIOC members and have done all the work myself! However, I owe a great deal to them for allowing me to use there facilities at my disposal. With out them I would probably still be on my back in my driveway trying to get all this done! While it's sad that there's no longer a factory effort in the WRC class of rally cars it's fantastic to see that Prodrive are still fully supporting the lower classes, specifically Group N.  They've released the first photos of this years' Group N machine, available on a two year lease with an option to buy at the end...assuming there's much car left.  The package deal also comes with a few sets of spares and scheduled rebuilds on the various Prodrive developed systems.&lt;br /&gt;

I bought this car new, in 2003, so we have shared a lot of time and miles together, 146K as I'm writing this.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I knew from the first day I bought the car that it was meant, in my opinion, to be driven offroad. On my 24 hour test drive, I had to check it out. I kicked up some rocks and bent the dust cover on one of the rear brakes, while playing around in the first dirt I could find on my way home. I took it back to the dealership the next day to sign my paperwork and had them inspect the "squeeling" in the rear. That is the only "warranty work" my car has on record. That's not to say that I haven't broken anything on the car, to be honest, I've broken a few things.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The most notable incident was rallying in my parents horse pasture and finding out that ABS is worthless in mud with street tires. I hit a tree in my own backyard and that explains the front end conversion. Everyone has to start somewhere in their offroad endeavors, right?&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
My plans have changed way too many times with the car. It looked stock for almost 6 years because I couldn't make up my mind. I bought a set of Rota D2's with the idea of lowering it on coilovers, but I couldn't get myself to actually do it. The roads around Houston can be pretty brutal and I use to drive all around town for work.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
One day, I was lurking on DirtyImpreza.com and I came across the thread for the "DirtyWagon." I was hooked on the idea of making the car big. My search began for the right way to raise the car.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I am currently working on building skidplates for both ends of the car. The front one will reach from each side of the bumper and run back to the transmission. The rear will cover up as much as possible in order to keep the car clean and safe. My plan is to make the rear a diffuser as well, with bolt-on fins that I will use when daily driving. I am also going to use the STi underbody panels to help cover up any spots that mud can reach.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I am undecided on a light bar, but the car will have lights soon. I plan on running 4 up front and 2 on the roof rack, that is why the front bar is longer than the rear.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Hopefully, sometime in the distant future of the car, I can meet up with Jackson Rally for a custom tube front bumper.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I also need to straighten my axles, I have the "wobble" from the axles being at an angle from the lift.&lt;br /&gt;

Located deep inside the Columbia River Gorge the area is ideal for Subaru fanatics as there are epic paved and unpaved roads everywhere.  There's also some rather nice scenery for those moments when you aren't gawking at the incredible variety of Subarus on hand. WCSS is a weekend long event, with food, camping, mud pits, vendors, and just about anything else having remotely to do with Subaru. Sadly Top Scoob couldn't be there in person this year but thanks to the excellent photography of Austin Westphal and Armin Ausejo we have plenty of pictures to share.&lt;br /&gt;

go get one, well i wanted a new engine and a new car to work with so i could do all the mods personally. Factory Options included: Boost Gauge, STI&lt;br /&gt;Short Throw Shifter, Rubber Floor Mats, Auto-Dimming/Compass Rear View&lt;br /&gt;Mirror. The first real mod was supposed to be my fender braces (which still aren't installed), but ended up being a Perrin Catless Downpipe and an HKS Carbon-Ti Exhaust.&lt;br /&gt;I loved the power gain and the sound...but soon enough I got the urge to mod&lt;br /&gt;some more...so that's really where everything began.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;After I was satisfied with the look of the exterior of the car, with the zero/sports kit, and all of the small touches like the red and black decals, custom tint by Shades of Gray and paint by Vitale Collision, it was onto performance.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Not satisfied with any turbo kit I looked at, I contacted Ryan @ Area1320 and asked if he was up for making me a custom rotated turbo kit with a reversed intake manifold. After a month of hard work and tons of custom fabrication, the final product is flawless!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The car has gone through several transformations, all with complete attention to detail in mind. In modifying my car, I try to think of it as a way of expressing myself. Yes it sounds cheesy, but since i think of it as a way of expressing myself, it also has to be literally a work of art. Everything must have a purpose, whether it be aesthetic or performance minded. I originally had an '04 STi and was slowly modding it. We eventually ended up getting engaged and then the wedding plans started. Over the next 6 months, the bills began to pile up, and we needed more $$$. I figured I wanted to give my wife the wedding she wanted, so I'd sell the STi, put some $$$ towards the wedding, and buy something cheaper. That's when the wagon came along. Then as they say, the rest is history.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Wagons are practical, easy to use, and of course they're Suby's, so what's not to love? The wagon you see before you, was built all for fun and as a way to express my own style. I've been through multiple turbo set ups, suspension set ups, and (as most of you that know me.......I'm quite the wheel whore) yes, mutiple wheel set ups. That's probably how most of you fellow wagon owners recognize me or my screen name........Bran808........that's the guy from Hawaii running those 18x10's. Hahaha, I'm proud to say that I may be the first wagon owner to fit 10's on a stock bodied wagon. No widebody......no flares....... no problem! In the end, It's been so much fun meeting new people on here and just making new friends (WFC...woot woot!). Well, as some of you know, I recently sold the wagon and have moved on to other things. However, I'm currently looking for possibly a GC or something to mod as my daily driver.
