It's going on 6 days now and the Playstation 3's online service, the Playstation Network, has been down and out for closing in on a week. Sony has said practically nothing on the matter, which is kind of worrisome since it feels like they are really unsure of the problems they have been dealt with.

If it was server issues those can be easily fixed, replace the servers or buy new ones. And any server issue wouldnt be an "around the clock" matter for this length of time. A lot of people are suggesting hackers are to blame. Assuming this is true, who's to say our credit card information is safe? If they have the power to take down Sony's massive network, it just seems like another skill they couldve acquired.

I just got Socom 4 and havent been able to play it online, very frustrating! I'm sure many of you share my annoyance on this problem. Yea, i know this isnt a very typical topic of mine, but it's a pretty big deal right now. What should I do to pass the time?! Besides view all your blogs of course ;)

Ive been right in the middle of finals and other stuff. So I've been super busy and havent had much time to blog. The good news is i'll be posting on a more regualr basis again with all that juicy stuff. I may even get to part 2 of my evolution bit, i enjoyed some of the emotions i evoked from my followers.

Why are we all convinced life is a result of evolution? Part 1 of 2

Let me give a brief introduction. First, I am fully aware that micro evolution is a natural part of life and there are literally thousands upon thousands of examples of this. Macroevolution, the belief we all came from a common ancestor and such, has very little evidence (and in some areas absolutely none). It's baffling to me how so many people are indoctrinated to believe evolution as scientific fact. If you've seen the movie expelled its quite apparent how supporters of evolution look to hinder adversaries in every way except for arguing their points intellectually. I am completely open to the idea that evolution is the truth, but i really just dont see the evidence supporting it right now.

Open any science text book (well except in Texas, lolol), and in it you will be told that all life and all biological diversity comes from evolution. This means that in the beginning, a cell was created somehow and then that cell went on to create the animals, and those animals diverge into other animals and so forth. Don't worry, I'm going into more detail. Quite frankly, i am perfectly fine with teaching evolution in schools. Just please bring both sides to the argument. The other side being an intelligent designer. Anyway, let me give you an outline of some of the contentions I'm going to discuss. This isn't every argument i have, I dont want to spend days on just these posts. I may make more posts arguing other aspects of it, im not sure yet.

Reasons Against Macro-Evolution

Life and information has not been proven to be created by natural causes, only intelligent ones.
Irreducible Complexity- Some early biological features are impossible to come from natural causes.
The Cambrian Explosion- That complex life did not gradually come to be, but more just showed

Point #1 - Life and information has not been proven to be created by natural causes, only intelligent ones.

Let me open with a little visualization. Take a look at the grand canyon. Beautiful, yes? Is there any doubt in your mind that that wasn't caused by wind, erosion, and whatever other natural forces? Now take a look at Mount Rushmore, can that be caused by the same natural forces? Absolutely not. We have never documented any thing like Mount Rushmore from natural causes.

So rewind hundreds of millions of years ago. There is no life on planet Earth. We'll just say there's a primordial soup, even though there's no evidence one existed. Life requires DNA. The first life also required such DNA. This also includes RNA, proteins and numerous smaller parts that have to be included for life to exist. You cannot just have one of these and have life exist. They all must come together at the exact same time or you are left with a useless piece of matter. Also, I'm sure you have an idea how complex DNA really is. Bill Gates mentioned that DNA is far more complex then any program designed by a human thus far. And the amount of information stored in a strand of DNA is equivalent to roughly 1000 volumes of an encyclopedia. Evolutionists cannot give you a reasonable explanation about how all the things required of the first cell came to be. To me it's more reasonable to assume this is not how life started, and that's before the other evidence.

UFO, Cloud, or CGI?

To me, it's definitely not a cloud. You can see the top to it, and that looks more dome shaped. Now, it's just a question of whether this thing is really there or not. It really doesnt look like cgi, it looks too natural i guess. But, i suppose it's always a possibility. What do you guys think?

Hitler- Is it possible he lived passed World War 2?

This recently released FBI document certainly raises that question. While it's not absolute evidence, it is eye opening. At least to me. It's a .PDF file so i cant attach the entire thing here and its friggin long!

Scroll down for a link to the entire thing. But, what this is saying is, that Hitler got away on 2 submarines with a crew of fifty as well as 2 doppelgangers. Thiss is offhand story telling and is not definitive evidence in anyway. But i dont know about you, but i havent seen any Hitler death pics so who knows what the truth really is. What if Hitler never committed suicide? Well, i guess nothing really changes, he pretty much got the Napoleon treatment, but i found this information really cool nonetheless.

Is gasoline going to prevent Obama's second term?

I just paid to have my truck filled and it cost over $80.00. And there was still a good bit left. Seeing how the gas prices are rising so much, with no end in site, i decided to do a little research with what high gas prices has lead to in the past.

Probably not to many peoples surprise, there is a striking correlation (especially during George W. Bush's term) between presidential approval rating and gasoline prices. The more the gasoline rises, the lower the approval rating becomes.

Let us not forget, straight from the horses mouth, Obama said that "Under my plan, energy prices will necessarily sky rocket." Energy prices, ala gas prices, HAVE TO SKY ROCKET, to satisfies this regimes goals. Which means for us: more taxes, less jobs, less money. But hey, at least the government has more power over our lives! That's what we all really want, right?

I'm curious to see what kind of answers we'll get. I'll base what i spend time talking about from that poll. If we have a lot of alien believers already, I'll probably move on to another topic. But if we have a bunch of skeptics, I'll most likely decide to bring a healthy debate to my blog.

There's still A LOT of content revolving around the lunar landings, but I always like to mix things up a bit. Anyway, I live in north Georgia, at the beginning of the Appalachian mountains. And one thing i always notice is a large amount of military aircraft flying extremely low around my house. Kinda makes me feel uneasy, chem-trails anyone?! We had some twisters in town and caused some serious damage, and knocked the power out.

I dont really have a story or direction for today and theres nothing that i really wanted to get to right away so I'll just stop while I'm ahead. I'll respond to any questions or comments you leave. Live long and prosperous!

Moon discussion 2- MoonFaker - No Crater

Before, we talked about a flag that waved on the surface of the moon with no direct cause. The only cause that makes the most sense was a gust of wind causing the flag to move. Today's discussion is titled "No Crater" and is about the Lunar Module's landing on the moon.

One proponent against this evidence suggest that they shut the engines off 3 meters above the ground to prevent said crater from causing a hole they'd fall into. He then said that Neil Armstrong used the same method. This in incorrect for there's a clear video of Armstrong running the engines while they are landed for a good 5 seconds. So clearly, given the 10,000 pound engine, it should have produced some sort of markings. But alas, nothing.

Also, the lunar module also would have caused a huge amount of dirt to rise into the air and fall all over the vehicle. Picture evidence shows, however, that there isn't a spec of dust on the craft, particularly the legs that make contact with the ground.

To me, personally, this is the biggest piece of evidence. It makes literally not sense for there not to be any sign of landing. None of the arguments against it stand up at all.

The Moon Discussion

Ah yes, the moon is forever with us. A truly interesting topic indeed. Have any of you wondered what the odds are that we have a moon orbiting our planet that allows for perfect eclipses? Yes, that number is pretty slim. This is the only the tip of iceberg in what makes the moon so interesting. But today im focusing on something everyone is familiar with. The Apollo missions and man landing on the moon.

Let me begin by saying I do believe that man has walked on the moon. However, i don't believe it is wrong in anyway to believe that NASA and the U.S. government might have "faked" one or more of these missions and created a fake lunar surface here on Earth.

I was unsure how I should present this information, initially. I was originally just going to bullet point it and use pictures to support my claims. However, i think that'll take too much space and time. I did come across this Aussie kid. He has posted numerous videos, titled "MoonFaker" on the subject of fake lunar visits. I think this will be interesting enough to stretch out over several days. I know I kept saying that i was going to do another section on the Kennedy assassination, but i really just dont want to get more into that right now. I will get back to it, eventually, but just not now. As you seen this post is more of an introduction of the coming days, but we will dive into the first couple videos.

The Flags Are Alive
This is about a half hour worth of content so i understand if you dont have time or dont want to spend the time watching all of it. He addresses six main contentions people have that defend the real lunar landing. Scroll down to see an overall summary of the videos and how he defeats each one.

His oppositions claims

Dave could have brushed against the flag with his left arm as he went by.
He could have kicked some dirt with his boot that hit the bottom of the flag.
He could have pushed a mound of soil sideways that hit the bottom of the flagstaff.
The impact of his boots on the ground as he ran past could have shaken the flagstaff.
He might have been carrying a static charge which attracted that flag material.
The flag could have been disturbed from emissions from the backpack.

But in reality

Initial movement clearly starts before astronauts passes flag.
Dirt traveling on the moon is quite visible and rarely goes higher then a meter. This is absolutely no signs of this.
(Same as 2)
Is no way near close enough and theres no visible evidence this occured. (His experiment was a little shaky here, imo).
Static electricity does not cause a flag to move, on Earth or on the Moon. And the flag initially moves away from the astronaut, it should be moving towards.
There is absolutely no sign of any sort of any kind of emission (water, oxygen, urine) being released. These are much more visible in a vacuum and are not present.

So there you have it. Just one aspect of this heated debate. I believe every one of his posts make perfect sense, the only one I'm a little skeptical about is number 4. He doesnt clearly prove that point IMO. So, as always, post your thoughts on the matter!

Is this a real UFO abduction?

The set up for the event is at the beginning of the video. The actual "event" occurs around the 2:00 mark.

An interesting video. Just based off what happens in the video I'd classify it as more paranormal then extraterrestrial. But regardless, it seems too easily faked. I always keep an open mind though and will give this story some chance of being true. I'm sure one of these days ill get more into UFO abductions but I'll leave the discussion for now just on this current video. Let me hear what you guys think!

Some of the Best Ghost/Paranormal Movies

A unique film style and low budget led to some great moments. Good movie overall.

Two classics: Poltergeist is a fun popcorn flick surely to scare some (My brother is still afraid of clowns), and the other a true horror tale that will surely frighten or disturb.

The Sixth Sense is arguably M. Night Shymalans (or whatever) best film. Sweet twist and some spooky parts too! Shining is a great horror film. Heeeeeeere's Johnny!

Again, as with the alien movies, this is not a comprehensive list. Just something to sink your teeth into. These were really just some of the first to pop up in my head. Tomorrow I'm definitely getting back to the JFK assassination. So expect a longer post the next day or two. Leave your feedback! Let me know some of your favorites!

I'm not really in the mood to continue the JFK topic today. I'll get back to it either on Tuesday or Wednesday. But today, I'd like to just share some of my favorite science fiction/alien movies. This isn't a complete list, just some notable ones that pop into my head. Please tell me what you think of what ive listed and some of your favorites as well! Always love to hear your opinions.

The Assassination of John F. Kennedy: Part 1 Introduction

This topic is quite meaty so I'm probably going to stretch it into 2 days. Let me begin by saying that if you are ever in the Dallas, Texas area, go to Dealey Plaza and check out the JFK assassination tour/site, its incredibly fascinating. JFk's death, while it may seem like its all wrapped up to some, is still classified, to me and many others, as a major conspiracy. I might not get into all of the aspects of it today, but i certainly will make sure i cover a lot of it between today and tomorrow.

Anyways, lets paint the scene for the upcoming disaster. Downtown Dallas, Texas early after noon (close to 12:30 Central Time) on November 22nd, 1963. JFK is simply riding through town on a business trip to help smooth over factions of the Democratic party. I don't believe his actual trips purpose had any impact on his assassination. Kennedy, with his wife Jacqueline and Texas Governor John Connally, rode around in the back of a convertible limousine so the crowd could actually see the President. As the automobile traveled down Elm Street (Dealey Plaza), and passed the Texas School Book Depository, shots were fired.

A clear majority of witnesses claimed there were 3 shots fired, while some believe there was actually 4 shots fired and from different directions.

THE WARREN COMMISSION
This first official investigation began a week after the assassination and was headed by Earl Warren, Chief Justice of the United States.

In late September 1964, after a 10-month investigation, the Warren Commission Report was published. The commission concluded that:

one shot likely missed the motorcade (it could not determine which of the three)
the first shot to hit anyone struck Kennedy in the upper back, exited near the front of his neck and likely continued on to cause all of Governor Connally's injuries
the last shot to hit anyone struck Kennedy in the head, fatally wounding him.

The bullet that supposedly hit Kennedy and then Connally is a strange one. The bullet could not have gone straight, if it would have had to have gone through Kennedy and then suddenly changed directions and keep velocity. Many refer to this bullet as "the magic bullet" for it seems unlikely that this happened.

The commission also concluded that had President Kennedy not ordered the Secret Service not to have agents occupy the rear running board positions of the presidential limousine, agents would have jumped on top of the President after the first gunshot wound and would have spared him from receiving the fatal head wound. This seems plausible to me.

Anyway, I'll get into who actually shot the President and other conspiracies, and the later commissions and their findings tomorrow.

NASA's 100-Year Starship Project Sets Sights on Interstellar Travel!

Yes, NASA's budget may not be what it once was, but I love the ambition here! So i probably wont be able to see the fruits of this projects labor, it's still cool. They are currently in a year long study phase to look into how they can obtain money from investors and private companies currently.

But regardless, I'm excited for what the future can bring. And, who knows, maybe there will be a technological breakthrough that will allow to see them travel among the stars. This mission is a great way to potentially unlock more secrets from the universe!

Strange loud sound keeps Floridians on their toes

This video is pretty strange to me. This apparently occured in more than 1 state, but im just keeping this current post localized to discussion on the one specific video i have. The noise apparently lasted for 20 minutes. It apparently was deafening and caused the ground to shake. Also, the way it ends is just baffling to me. Have a look:

Get a feel for the sound. Sounds like wind right? Yea, there's no wind and the weather advisory below specifically mentions what they believe the cause is, and its not wind. Not a tornado. Anyway, i alluded to the ending earlier so fast forward the video to approximately 7:35. Shortly after a single bright flash (the only one in the entire video) occurs. The constant roar then stops dead. You'd think it would make sense for it to be lightning, but frankly, if its lightning where were all the other strikes? The sky should be filled with them if that noises cause was thunder. I'd love to hear what you guys have to think about this. What could it be, is it lightning and I'm just not getting it, or is something intelligently controlled? Here's the weather advisory:

The Battle of Los Angeles: Did it really happen?

I'm sure most of you have heard about the recent sci-fi action flick, "Battle: Los Angeles". What most of you may not know is that the Battle of Los Angeles actually took place. This is one of my favorite UFO tales.

The picture on the right, is a photo from "The Great Air raid". Taking place from late February 24 to early February 25, 1942. The United States military fired over 1,400 artillery shells at hovering unidentifiable objects over the L.A. skyline. Within hours of the end of the air raid, Secretary of the Navy Frank Knox held a press conference, saying the entire incident was a false alarm due to anxiety and "war nerves".

Ha, likely story Mr. Knox. There is no way that back then our military would fire at absolutely nothing for hours over a peaceful, native city, just because of "war nerves". Come on, its hard to say what they really were shooting at. The fact that they constantly bombarded the same area with little results, leads me to believe they could very well have been firing at an extraterrestrial space craft and had absolutely no idea how to take it down. We may never know the truth behind this event, but I know the military was firing at something.

This first post will just be a summary of what is to come. I plan on going in depth into several different subjects. Kennedy) and maybe even science or current events with my personal swing on it. I originally ran a sporting blog, but thanks to a malicious keylogger, i no longer have access to that blog.
