It was one of the biggest hits of all time.Evergreen Anand's direction is quite faulty(like in most of his directorial ventures).I never understood the purpose of the film apart from its innovative theme and Anand's willingness to break new ground.

The movie marked Sadhana's comeback after a brief period of illness during which she lost movies like Sangharsh and Around the World. Here she plays a working girl Rita,who is falsely implicated by her employer Sohanlal (Rehman)on theft charges.During her year long imprisonment,her mother dies of starvation and she in turn swears revenge(Hence the title).She saves a smuggler,Ashok Kumar from jail and both get rich by selling the diamonds which he was to smuggle.They set up a casino and Rita works towards ensnaring the young Rajpal(a very stiff Sanjay Khan),Sohanlal's son.They get married against his father's wishes and Rita starts showing her true colors at all.Towards the end, Sohanlal realizes his folly and apologizes to Rita.There is also one of the most erotic cabaret number ever picturised on the lovely Helen.

& wife,Savitri.One day he witnesses a man being being killed at the hands of Sher Singh Bandookwala,the Zamindar.He reports this matter to the police and Sher is arrested and prosecuted.Sher uses all his financial might to convince the courts of his innocence,and is set free.Then a few days later,Dharam is found in a compromising position with a new lady school-teacher,Menaka,is summoned by the local Panchayat,and asked to leave Shaktinagar for 30 days.Dharam leaves and does not return,leaving his wife and children alone and destitute. Savitri toils hard to provide education for Ravi,and for this she scarifies everything she has owned,and sends Ravi to her brother's place.Years later,Ravi is now an Engineer and returns home to Shaktinagar and reform the village with modern thoughts and ideas.
My review about Himmatwala:-
I saw the first time its so brilliant,with great performance and music,dance numbers.It is just great to watch Sridevi dance along with Jeetu.The rest cast is amazing in their roles and cinematography captures beautiful locations amazingly and I loved this film since I watched on DVD.Its 8 out of 10.And one of Jeetu's best work ever.Bappi Lahiri have given a great music for the film.The singers have done great job also.A lots have in the movie to enjoy.

The movie was started with the story of a eccentric young man, Ashok(Dharmendra)who believes in doing good without worrying about the consequences.This does not find any favor with his sister-in-law Sarla(Sulochana),and she decides to leave him.But he persuades her to come back,and he decides to relocate and not cause any more trouble for Sarla.On his way he has a skirmish with the a princess Rajkumari Seema(Hema Malini)who he teaches a lesson to respect the poor and food grown in the fields. When he arrives in the city,due to his misfortune,he lands a job at a factory run by the Rajkumari,and immediately gets in to the bad books of Prem(Prem Chopra)to whom the Rajkumari is engaged to be married.The Rajkumari also decides to teach him a lesson for the humiliation she suffered at his hands.But things work out differently,and Ashok ends up saving the life of the Rajkumari,and she falls in love with him.This jeopardizes the plans that Rajkumari's uncle(Ajit) has for her and her bethrothed Prem,and a horrifying scheme is concocted to stop the love and possible future relationship of Rajkumari and Ashok.

All age groups will love it and you'd want to watch it over and over.Dharmendra and Hema do an excellant performance (whilst maintaining their passion) and a little appearance from Shammi Kapoor livins up the film abit.The film starts off with a little'Mask Of Zorro'style genre, Dharmendra is dressed in a cape and sets off to save a young girl.Dharmendra is a mischevious lad in this film who is living with his bhabee.His name is Ashok (Azaad) and goes around villages helping others and giving little'freddom speeches'while creating havok. He then comes across a princess(Hema Malini) who has set a farm on fire,Dharmendra beats up the princesses guards which leads to his bhabee leaving.Instead Dharmendra leaves and reaches his bhabee's brother's house where he lives with his sister.He soon realises he's in the region of the princess (Hema) and a little hilarious intro starts his stay off.He finds a job at a beer factory which is owned by Hema, but this is just a plan for her to get her own back,and so she does by making Dharmendra ride a drunken horse(without him knowing),but Dharmendra returns and captures the princess and makes her live like a tramp but being clever Hema chucks him into a well.This movie must see if you love to fall in love "DIL SE".

Prakash Mehra stayed true to his forte and his style.Laawaris packed in a lot of emotional drama with the right amount of humour and of course hum-able scores.The story resolved around Hira(Amitabh Bachchan),the illegitimate child of Seth Ranbir(Amjad Khan) and Rakhee,a singer.Disowned by Amjad Khan,Rakhee dies heartbroken and young Hira is brought up by an alcoholic beggar Gangu Ganpat(Sreeram Laagoo). Salim, played by Dilip Kumar is one of his best known acting and film. Madhubala seems great, and I definitely feel, she rivals any modern day actress in her beauty, grace and boldness and courage.One can learn many things from this film and is sure to bring in oneself an increased understanding towards one's duties and sacrifice. Aside from the magical pairing of the lead hero-heroine, what people to this day remember most about MPK is its melodious music-which is stupendous and the Lata-Subramaniam combo as usual is in fine form. The regular family characters which we've seen numerous times by now in other flicks also provide fine support.....but the biggest reason Y MPK works is still the chemistry between newcomers Salman Khan and Bhagyashree. Young, sweet and energetic, they are just dynamite on screen together. Sooraj does a fabulous job of portraying classic "puppy love". Nagma was born 25th Decemberl 1970 who ruled the roost in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films from 1993 to 1997, revealed about the transformation in her life while speaking at a prayer meeting for film artistes organised in Chennai by Jesus Redeems ministries founder Bro. Mohan C Lazarus.

At the meeting, Nagma has said to have told the gathering that she is ready to preach the Gospel in every city and town that the Lord takes her to. According to reports, the actress shared her testimony and wowed the audience with her knowledge of the Bible at the meeting. Nagma told the gathering that Jesus Christ was the only super star in her life. Earlier, she made a reference to her acting career where she had paired as the leading lady with several actors in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Bhojpuri films.
The actress, who dabbled in politics briefly, said a copy of the Bible that she got when she was depressed and contemplating suicide saved her from killing herself. All her problems, she said, started fading away one by one after she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal saviour.
On 28th of June she attended the Thirappin Vasal Jebam conducted by Bro.Mohan C. Lazarus in Nalumavadi, a small village in Tamilnadu.Thousands of people gathered in that meeting to listen to the word of God. The story of the movie Chak de India:-
Kabir Khan lives a middle-class lifestyle along with his widowed mom in Delhi, India, and is the Captain of the Indian men's hockey team. He fails to score at the last tournament resulting in Pakistan winning the World Cup amidst allegations that he was more inclined toward his opponents due to his religion. Kabir and his mom move away and virtually disappear for seven years. Thereafter Kabir surfaces to be a Coach for the women's hockey team, consisting of 16 players from all over India, some of who do not communicate well. Kabir's disciplinarian style ends up offending the players, lead by the militant Bindia Naik, who decide not to participate unless he resigns amidst allegations that he is having an affair with soon to-be married Vidya Sharma, who he appoints as the new Captain. Readers /Viewers conclusions:-

The story is really simple and there are not really very many surprises in the plot but you really don't care. ShahRukh Khan shows again how much he can entertain given a chance and the director gives him the space to do so. The girls who make up the team he is coaching are really delightful and the time spent developing their stories was time well spent. The director could have eased of a little bit on patriotism where it was not directly relevant, but it doesn't really mar the whole experience.
Over all CHAK DE INDIA one of the top ten evergreen movie of the Bollywood.
