......AND LONDON STOOD STILL AS LEKKI HOUSEWIVES (THE MOVIE) PREMIERED

2014-03-16T11:46:00.001+00:00

It was the Lekki Housewives (The movie) premiere in London yesterday and movie lovers thronged out in their hundreds to the Lighthouse, Camberwell to witness this fantastic work. Yul Edochie, Victoria Inyama, Theodora Ibekwe, Tolu Yesufu, Toyin Moore and Toksy Bello were some of the stars who graced the premiere where Olamide, provided great music for the night.

It is always said that sex sells, but this movie was done with so much class and panache, a lot was implied but was not obnoxious or in your face. As it is the case with some movies being churned out in Nollywood at the moment, one can testify to the 'actors' only showing us all sorts of nudity but no real talents. The movie which stars Adaora Ukoh, Keira Hewatch, Kiki Omeira and Katherine Obiang is the story of 5 women, all married but 4 of them engaging in extramarital affairs. The fresh faces, the delivery and the movie itself is just in a league of it's own. In the Producer's own words 'it is real life re-enacted'. Beautiful and talented, Blessing Effiom-Egbe also doubles up as the Director and Writer wants us to watch out for Series 2 of the Lekki Housewives.

HAPPY NEW YEAR Y'ALL!

FORMER MISS NIGERIA KIDNAPPED

2013-08-22T16:19:00.000+01:00

Three men who posed as members of the Nigerian Police Force have been arrested In Abeokuta, Ogun State, for kidnapping an ex Miss Nigeria, Feyi Sodipo.

Some Nigerian newspapers are reporting that the 3 men reportedly took the ex-Miss Nigeria, in their car from Lagos to Abeokuta to retrieve her car gift from the beauty pageant (an Hyundai). Seems Feyi's mum smelt a spoilt fish and raised an alarm.

This news somehow has some K-leg as Miss Feyi (who represented Ogun state during the Miss Nigeria 2011 beauty pageant) allegedly claims ''the people had been chasing me round the place, asking me to surrender the car gift I got from the Akwa Ibom State government.'' Feyi further allegedly stated: “Organisers of the programme made many promises that they didn’t keep and now they want to collect the car given to me by Akwa Ibom State government.

“They want to collect this gift from me because Ogun State government has given me another car so I must surrender the one given to me by the Akwa Ibom State government.”

This story seems to just be starting.

MAN FINDS LARGE QUANTITY OF WEED IN SAFE BOUGHT OVER THE INTERNET

2013-08-22T15:21:00.000+01:00

The world never cease to amaze us. Imagine browsing stuffs on the internet (not in any way related to drugs). Find what you like, pay and then receive the delivery at your home only to find about 280 pounds (in weight oh) of weed amongst your consignment.
Well that was what happened to a man in Ohio who ordered a gun safe online. He opened the consignment when it arrived, only to discover 280 pounds of marijuana inside.

It is believed the marijuana has a street value of $420,000. Seems like some crazy scene from one of those Hong Kong drug movies.

TWINS SEPARATED @ BIRTH FIND EACH OTHER ON YOUTUBE!!!!

2013-08-22T14:57:00.002+01:00

The girls meet up (possibly on the top deck of a tourist bus in London)

We have been following this incredible news of this twin sisters separated possibly @birth, for a few months now and absolutely chuffed! Okay, this was how the story started:

Anais Bordier a French student studying at a university in London was told by one of her friends that he saw someone that looked liked her on a racy Youtube video. When Anais did not believe him, he decided to show her the video. According to Anais, she could not believe she was staring @ her own reflection in the video. The actress who lives in America called Samantha Futerman, looked exactly like her. So she delved into the actress' background, found out she was born on the same date in the same town as her in South Korea. Both had been adopted -- Futerman by a family in Verona, N.J., and Bordier by parents in Paris, France. She started to think they might actually be twins!

Anais sent a message to Samantha via Facebook asking her not to freak out but she might be her twin sister. They corresponded and even met via Skype (which was a bit freakish).

Both girls who are 25 years old, then starter Twinster on Kickstart to raise a minimum of $30,000 dollars to help them meet up and carry out DNA to determine if at all they were related, while at the same time documenting it. Well, they are! Over $43,000 was donated by people so they could achieve their dream. We just think this is a fantastic story. They are now also in the process of writing a book to recount their life stories.

I CAN WASH MY GIRLFRIEND'S UNDIES – LAMBOGINNY

2013-04-19T18:13:00.000+01:00

This an interview with Lamboginny by an entertainment magazine:

Afro Hip Hop /Dancehall Artist and also Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) national Ambassador “Olayinka Lawanson” popularly referred to as Lamboginny has disclosed in an exclusive interview that he could wash his girlfriend’s under wears if its need arises.

The Gbaladun hitmaker in the interview with one of the entertainment magazine was quoted saying ‘I am not part of the African men that can't wash his girlfriend or wife's under wear (pant & bra), if you could give your lover or wife a head, then why can’t you wash her pants and bras?" Abeg... majority of us are drycleaners with our mouth already (smiles).

The Anti-crime ambassador “Lamboginny” when asked if he gives his girlfriend a head continued by saying ‘There is no place like home! We all came from there and if giving my girlfriend or wife a head will save my family or home from collapsing, I go give her heads without hesitation.. She's my better half and I'm not ashamed to do it or say it.

Lamboginny who recently shot the video to his sophomore single “Gbaladun” featuring Olamide , rapped it all up by advising the youths and parents to give it all their best at saving their families from braking and giving their children the best of both formal and informal education.

“We owe our children the best and there is no way they could grow up with the best when their parents live separately. We need to give it our best at keeping our homes and securing good tie with our partners. Hence training the children and giving them the deserved formal and informal education.

On the other hand, the Sax Records signed artiste “ Lamboginny” as an NDLEA Ambassador alongside Stella Damasus in collaboration with NDLEA is planning a WALK AGAINST DRUG ABUSE in Lagos, Nigeria come June 2013.

Let us all be prepared to walk and save a life says Lamboginny.

NAIJA NO THEY CARRY LAST, I SWEAR!

2013-04-03T16:18:00.000+01:00

Oluwaseun Oyesanya,

So basically, Naija no dey carry last! This story was culled from my borough's Newwshopper. The boy try small.

A SOUTHEASTERN railway worker from Erith let an untrained friend stand in for him for more than a fortnight so he could study for a degree. Oluwaseun Oyesanya, allowed pal Olutoba Olubode to wave off trains from station platforms even though he had no idea what he was doing. The deception could have led to a crash and passenger deaths if a train had been cleared to leave Denmark Hill station at the wrong moment, Westminster Magistrates' Court heard last Tuesday.
Despatchers conduct safety checks before trains depart, and must undergo training and obtain a licence before working in the job. Chair of the bench Spyros Elia told Oyesanya it was “but for the will of God that somebody wasn't injured, perhaps even fatally, and maybe more than one person.”
Adjourning for sentencing at Blackfriars Crown Court on a date yet to be set, he said: “I just cannot stress how serious this is. “We feel the sentencing powers available to us in this court are not sufficient to deal with it with the severity it deserves.”

The ruse took place between October 15 and 27 last year, when Oyesanya, who has no previous convictions, was employed by Southeastern. In order to make a convincing show, he gave Olubode a fake ID badge, along with a personal crash course and a set of training books. Alec Williams, prosecuting, said the measures let his friend “effectively home-school himself in how to become competent in despatching trains.” He said the scam went unnoticed until January this year when Oyesanya turned up at the station to go about renewing his licence. Mr Williams told the court: “Colleagues caught sight of him and were rather confused that the gentleman they saw was not the gentleman they had been working with.”

Following his arrest, the railway worker told police he thought Olubode was “doing it quite well and not putting anyone in danger.” George Otchere, defending, said his client had acted out of a desire to provide for his family while keeping up with his studies. He said: “The reason for the crime was that he was trying to do two things at the same time – trying to cater for his wife and daughter, and at the same time go to university. “He shows remorse for what he has done. “It's something he did unwisely, not realising the seriousness.” Oyesanya was released on unconditional bail. He admits fraud by false representation, which relates to his wages, and endangering the safety of persons conveyed by railway.

TUWON (FORMERLY TRIPLE B) BACK WITH A BIG BANG!

2013-03-22T19:07:00.003+00:00

Back in 1999, Peter and Paul Martins (twin brothers) stepped out into the showbiz limelight along with Gabriel Bablalola (now known as Bigiano who joined the group in 2001) when their group's hit single, 'E gba mi', ruled the airwaves .

Now they are back with 'NKEM' a Nigerian Pop Love Song. When yours truly asked of the two, the story behind 'NKEM' and if either one of the twins were in love with an Nkem, Peter was quick to respond; ''Nkem is an admiration love song that expresses the feeling of a man to a woman he's so crazy about. Nkem in Igbo language means 'my own'. So in this song, we are simply telling the world that we've found our true love.''

So far, the acceptance and the song download on naijaloaded has been awesome. To experience this a-may-zing! song, please click on the link www.hulkshare.com/tuwonrythm

Like seriously? You know when we say that, we have seen or heard something incredulous, which we have indeed. So Monica Lewinsky, yeah that one with whom the former United States President, Bill Clinton admitted to having had an "improper relationship" while she worked at the White House in 1995 and 1996, is writing a tell-all book about her affair with Bill Clinton after the scandal left her hard up, unable to get a job and with her dreams dashed.

According to the Mail, The former White House intern, 39, is reportedly penning the book - including her intimate love letters to the ex-president and how he desired threesomes - for revenge on her former flame.

But friends say it could simply be a matter of cash for Lewinsky, who was left with massive legal debts and could never achieve her dream of 'losing 30 lbs, finding a boy, moving to Westchester County and having a family' after revelations of her Oval Office trysts with Clinton surfaced.

Why ever you want to rehash that past Monica is beyond us. #Gobacktotheholeyoucrawledoutof.
