In the Sabbath Day midrash, Mark this week explores the stunning CONTRAST between those ‘offerings’ and ‘sacrifices,’ — which Scripture again emphasizes in such detail — and the Single Sacrifice which has since be re-named to something it is certainly not.

Is there no irony in the claim that the single ‘Final’ and Ultimate Sacrifice has been renamed in an idolatrous celebration that invites the death penalty?

The haftorah reading begins with a warning that those who originally heard failed to heed. “You trust in lying words…” said the prophet YermeYahu (Jeremiah). “Obey My voice,” He told them.

They misunderstood – and ignored – the lesson of the ‘sacrifices’ – and STILL DO.

But it is the lesson of Ezekiel chapters 8 and 9 that is most pertinent to the idolatry that is so pervasive today!

Baruch H’Bah B’Shem YHWH!  HALLELUYAH!  HE’S ALIVE!

World War 3 turns out to be what most of us expected, rather than what we were told. The courts are still corrupt, but that fact is at least becoming undeniable to most of what was once the Republic. And it’s also increasingly obvious that a ‘political solution’ is not going to happen.

In the Sabbath Day midrash, Mark again takes a deeper look at the differences between ‘offerings’ and ‘sacrifices,’ and, more importantly, why Scripture emphasizes in such detail the concept of “unintentional” sin. It turns out that ‘deliberate rebellion to YHVH’ is also outlined as well, but in a VERY different way. And that is what makes All the Difference.

It’s also why we’re told that such a sacrifice is made only once. But that is a fact generally denied by a ‘church’ which fails to teach the difference!

Folks there is a spiritual war being waged right now. Not only a war in the middle east which is certainly raging as I type this but also and perhaps even more importantly a battle for your soul and the souls of your family. Is there anyone else out there who can feel the strength and oppressive weight of the war being waged right now besides me?

Eph 6:12 says our fight is not against flesh and blood. Your family, your friends, your enemies and human adversaries are not really who the battle is against.

[Mal 4:5-6 KJV] 5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: 6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

And then [Luk reconfirmed this promise again in 1:16-17 KJV] 16 where we are told, “many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. 17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

What would characterize the return of the Spirit of Elijah that would turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the disobedient to wisdom to make them prepared for YHWH i.e. Y’shua’s return? What was going on during the days of Elijah, King Ahaz and Queen Jezebel? Baal Worship right? Elijah proved to the people that YHWH was God or Elohim and Baal was nothing and Baal worship was powerless and ridiculous right?  What does the modern day spirit of Ba’al look like compared to the spirit of Elijah and the 7 Spirits of God?

[Rev 1:1-4 NKJV] 1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants–things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified [it] by His angel to His servant John, 2 who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. 3 Blessed [is] he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time [is] near. 4 John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne…

Today we look at all of this and more!

World War 3 turns out to be what most of us expected, rather than what we were sold. And other major issues remain, which loom ever larger in import as the veneer of lies continues to wear ever thinner, while cynicism — rightfully — grows.
