If you enjoyed the Deus Ex soundtrack as I did very much, this is a must-check-out. Some of the tracks sound as if they could’ve come from the first game, albeit with richer arrangements. It’s almost like a soundtrack to an expansion pack. Many of the same instruments, from synth-guitar arps to delayed lead lines, are shared.

Of particular note, the chords and descending vocal line on “Incubus” are very similar to the DX Credits track, albeit at a more languid pace.

Moon is one of my fave movies. Great to watch before going to sleep because it deserves focus and space. The site really reflects the theme well, providing immersive coherence.

The Big Pictr is a nice way to see Flickr photostreams at a bigger size. Sometimes details get so smushed in thumbnails that I haven’t a clue what’s happening. I like my canvases epic and splashed over the skies.

Henry Hogwar is our best post-industrial litigator. Alas, he only retains his talents for a couple hours after being awoken from a deep sleep, so we have to set him drifty in the cloud, then rouse him when it comes time for courtroom battle. We've tried to keep this a secret, but it's proving futile against the canny eyes of Granny Gravitas and her four-pronged echelon of lie-eaters.

The latest case on the textbooks concerns Blisstown, a 12-core microprocessor alleged to be the centerpiece of a cult. Computing power is invariably tied to one's personal wealth and self-image, so it's no surprise that the less $-fortunate would opt-in to brainwashing experiments in exchange for a Blisstown-powered rig. Or for double doses, two.

Hogwar sees through this charade. His voice is thick and crunchy like the finest smoked bacon, and he declares: "Some animals have genetic predisposition towards succeeding on the Net." This is why, I can only fathom, his sidekick lawyer is a flute-playing cat in a fursuit.

What a handsome cover. Many pix gathered from the Internets. And beautiful typography & graphics (some say, “chart porn”). In addition to the vivid and at often-times sexy layout which I consider exceptional in this day of blogs-and-what-have-you-not-becoming-books, I hope this tome is educational for people who wish to grasp emotions, such as Asperger’s Syndrome peeps like myself — I’m fairly along my journey of face-reading, but mindful of those who have a lot of progress to look forward to.
