Toronto insurance

Many people in Toronto, ask why I should choose an insurance broker. An insurance broker provides a service, obviously insurance coverage. When an insurance broker represents many different companies, they can place their clients with certain “markets” which prefer insuring different risks. In simple terms, if you have 4 speeding tickets and Company A likes insuring drivers with no tickets and Company B likes insuring people with 4 or less tickets, you will be placed with Company B.
This can apply to business insurance as well, some companies specialize insuring construction risks, while others may prefer insuring retail stores or restaurants, offering better rates to the type of business they prefer and want.
It is the job of an insurance broker to know what each of their companies prefers and acquiring the best price for the best coverage for their clients.

Many insurance brokers also answer many questions for their clients, assist in any claims process and can add coverages, remove or add vehicles quickly and efficiently – unlike call centers.

If you are not pleased with your current insurance adviser, you owe it to yourself to shop around, speak to a few brokers and find one you think you can work with.

The value provided by a good insurance broker is bar none. Stop waiting on hold!

Many clients of Toronto Insurance brokers have been asking about Ontario’s new legislation which has made it an offense to talk on a cell phone while driving. Here are some questions and answers.

How much is the fine?
If caught, you expect to pay a $150.00 fine, but it can be as high as $500.00

Does it go on my driving record and affect my insurance?
Yes

Do you get points taken off?
In short, No. But if warranted the police officer could lay a charge of careless or dangerous driving. A conviction of careless or dangerous driving results in 6 demerit points and a fine of up to $1,000.
