Here are the initial team picks. Matches start next week (w/c 19th), with the A and C at home to Kirkby Lonsdale B abd Bailrigg B, and the B and D away to Bolton-le-Sands B (Monday) and D (Thursday).

I’ll start putting the fixtures into the club calendar soon, and may even start tweeting again, too.

Notes from the Selectors

These are the initial teams – selection is an ongoing process and performance and results will be monitored. Approach a selector if you have any concerns about placings.
Due to an abundance of ladies of a similar level, the D team ladies will work in a rota system. We realise this will disrupt the pairings but it is the only fair way to ensure everyone gets games. This was discussed at the AGM and it was agreed that a rota system could be used for the D team, as long as it was made clear in advance that this would be the case.
Team sheets are to be copied and given to Rebecca, Hazel or Keith on a regular basis so we can make any changes to teams if needed.

Official 2011/2012 Club activities start today with team selection at Salt Ayre, 2:30 to 4:30, continuing tomorrow night 7-10pm at the college, next Sunday at Salt Ayre 3:30-5:30, then Monday at College again.

If you’re not interested in being selected for a team, just attend club night on the Mondays, Sundays are for team selection only.

Matches and standard club nights resume w/c 19th September.

I’ll update the fees and club night pages soon!

End of Season Celebration

With Phil’s successes at the tournament (mystery mixed and doubles handicap), two teams promoted and one team scabbily missing demotion, we have got some things to celebrate as the season recedes into memory.

Rebecca has organised a simple, yet nourishing, night out for us.

Friday 8th April

Meet at Superbowl in Morecambe Prom. The 3 lanes booked 6.30 – 7.30
(I can book more if extra people want to play)
Meal at Babar Elephant (Indian)
on Morecambe Road 8pm

We’ve received the entry forms from the Tournament Secretary. I literally can’t contain myself. They’re supposed to be on the league website, but, at the time of writing, I can’t see them. No matter, I’ll host them here, too.

There are four separate files provided. I guess you only need to print the entry form and declaration (3 & 4) to send in. I’ve also combined them all into one file in case you just want to see all of the pages in one go, coz I’m helpful like that. You’re welcome.
