Over the last couple of months we have seen an enormous number of players enjoying the Beta, the Demo and finally the full release of Battlefield: Bad Company.

We believe that most of you have had plenty of time to enjoy our great Multiplayer demo, and that you will want to join our live community of Battlefield: Bad Company players already enjoying the full game.

To this end we will be shutting down the majority of the Bad Company DEMO servers and converting them to retail servers this coming Tuesday, at 00:01 PST. We encourage everyone who hasn’t yet, to go and get themselves the full version.

Bizarre Creations' multi-directional shooter sequel Geometry Wars Retro Evolved 2 is now slated to hit Xbox 360 next Wednesday, July 30, the studio has announced.

Revealed last week, the downloadable Xbox Live Arcade exclusive was initially scheduled to debut on August 6, and will carry the price of 800 Microsoft Points ($10).

Bugs fixed
• Fixed: players spawning inside other players (generally AFK) and being killed instantly.
• Fixed: players getting stuck when throwing a grenade when prone on certain locations.
• Shotgun pellet damage has been reduced.
• Shotgun penetration has been fixed.
• Volume slider in music options works properly now and saves the volume settings.
• It is now possible to mute other players - new option available in game menu.
• Fixed: Scoreboard not showing all the players in the server.
• Weapon caches now don't give players extra / infinite grenades that they shouldn't.
• A bug affecting some classes loadouts has been fixed.
• The in-game voice notification panel will now show the correct colors (blue or red depending on the team).
• Fixed an annoying "unconnected has disconnected" message.
• Random sound effects that could be heard while tweaking the options menu have been addressed.
• Fixed a number of known client and server crashes after collecting minidumps from the community.
• The Shader Effects Update patch will no longer be necessary.
• Third person M203 firing sounds are now audible.

How did Nintendo get a “Grand Theft Auto” slated for the DS? What’s the game going to be like? And what can Wii owners expect of “GTA” now that DS owners are getting one later this year?

Multiplayer: “Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars.” How’d that come about? When did that conversation begin?

Reggie Fils-Aime, President, Nintendo of America: You know, we have had a long-term relationship with ["GTA" publisher] Take Two. We’ve had many conversations with the folks at Rockstar. This is a project they wanted to make. We’re thrilled to have it on the platform.

Multiplayer: 2D? 3D? What’s it going to be like?

Fils-Aime: You know the folks at Rockstar. And so we think it’s best for them to tell the story of what that software’s going to be. They can certainly do a better job of bringing it to life and do a much better job explaining the backstory than I can.

Multiplayer: Given that just before you guys announced “Grand Theft Auto” for the DS — you guys were talking about how the gender ratio was balancing out and more and more women are playing DS. Women are not typically “GTA” players. Given that, do you expect “Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars” to sell as well as the PSP “GTA”s? Does the demographic of the DS give this game the potential to be the best-selling of the “GTA” portables?

Fils-Aime: Look at it this way, Stephen. Right now 20 million installed base in the U.S. for the DS. Fifty-two percent are male. That’s over a 10 million installed base to sell a “GTA” title into.
