Accepting Myself as I Am

During my time of studying at the Academy for Psychic Studies I have learned how to sit still and find my own answers by going within. I had to let go of many outside influences to do this because I was way too sensitive and receptive to everything around me. I was like a little sieve, I was a wide open psychic, feeling and seeing many things that I could not make sense of. I had a lot of information in my head from all my many past teachers, schools; but no grounding to make it real.

I was always trying to please others to be accepted by trying to heal them, whether they wanted to be healed or not. I wasted a lot of energy this way and became run-down, unfocused and tired of life. I had lots of so-called friends, but when I stopped trying to please them and got centered in what I wanted, they fell away like flies.

Now I am surrounded by like-minded, sensitive souls who truly care about the well-being of their neighbors. For me, this means that we have an honesty between us that allows us to share with each other what we need to hear, not just what our personalities want to hear, when dealing with life’s challenges. I live in a beautiful home. I live my life with a child-like sense of wonder that continues to grow.

The second big change that has happened since coming to the Academy for Psychic Studiesis that I have learned to love myself, just as I am. This increased self confidence has helped me to be successful in my sales career in a major corporation, so much so that I have more than doubled my salary in the past few years.

I love teaching others at the Academy for Psychic Studies how they can use these simple, yet powerful techniques and concepts to transform their lives, as I have. I have been asked what the difference is between Jesus and ourselves, why it is that He was able to maintain the awareness that He was connected to the Supreme Being, whereas we often falter in that awareness. Some believe that Jesus' soul was somehow different from our own, that He had an advantage, so to speak, over us. The truth is that what we often consider to be our soul, or what we identify ourselves as being, is not truly the soul or our true nature.

There are two different souls, man's soul and the Supreme Being's Soul. Man's
soul is what you call by your body-personalities name, be it John, Suzy etc. It is nothing more than a body-personality expression. The Supreme Being's Soul is what you call Christ; the life of Christ that gives you the knowingness that you exist. It has the awareness of the Supreme Being in it, whereas man's soul does not.

The soul of your body-personality came from the world which moved through the flesh of what you call your dad. It lives because of this earth plane. Someone dreamt it up and it's still a dream. It's just the imagination of the world, imagining what it is, and imagining that this body personality is John or Suzy. Your body-personality doesn't know that it exists by itself, it needs your influence, or the influence of someone who will support that story.

Jesus' body was really no different. It also had the dream built into it on the external level from Mary, who was of the world. The difference was that Jesus recognized that He was the Christ, the Son of God, and not the son of Mary. If you recognized this it would be the same for you. And, like Jesus, you'd start casting out the personality as He cast out Mary. So there's really no difference between you and Him.

You are connected to the original Spirit of the Supreme Being, which is life eternal, which is Christ; therefore you are the essence of His quintessence. This must be true else you couldn't be kindred in spirit. The same way a baby comes out of a mother, is the way that we came out of the Supreme Being and into being. Flesh issues itself and the spirit issues itself, the same as the sun issues the radiance of the sunlight. It's not different than, it's the same as.

The world of flesh is a dream world. The body is dreaming that it is whatever body-personality label it has been programmed to believe. But in reality it's not the body-personality label. It's a container for the Spirit of God. To paraphrase the Hebrew letters, "Do you not know that you are the temple, or the realm, of God and that the Holy Spirit, or the original spirit of God's quintessence, is the essence
of yourself?" Obviously we don't know that. In fact, most of us don't want to realize that we're not Suzy, or we're not John, or whatever the name label may be.

Our body is like a trunk that is being moved across the United States and labels are being placed on it; 'You're Suzy, you're good, you're bad, you're a nice woman, you're a Catholic, you're a Jew, you're a Protestant." It has nothing to do with the reality of what the label of the soul is. The label of the soul is the universal logos, the quintessence of the Elohim, or God Himself, or the Atomic energy field, light=MC2, a higher power, a source, the original spirit, however you want to look at it. Take your choice. The Supreme Being's name is before every name.

You are free. You're free when you realize that you are not living the life of your own. In other words, when you're not playing God, or you're not judging yourself whether your good or bad. You are just living according to the information you have at any particular moment. You are also free to make all the mistakes that need to be made until you can't make any more. It's grace my friend. It has nothing to do with whether you smoke, or you drink or you have sexual preferences which are considered strange. Those are just effects. Certainly, in many cases they are not an optimum expression of Godliness. However your personality expression is not the issue, because the truth is that you're not really doing those things. The world's mind is doing those things, it's the accuser and it's supported by a society that is decadent. If you were in your right mind you wouldn't do those things, but the world keeps you in your left mind so that what is left is that you don't mind yourself.

The body-personality is programmed to make certain that it absorbs you, so that you become earthbound. Have you ever wondered where the people go who die? The same place they were before they were born. What is that place? They call it the hereafter. We're here-after. Do you want to know why? Because we were here beforehand. So, since we were here beforehand, here here, let's give ourselves a hand, because all this happened before. Everything you see has happened before. It's all here now, this moment. And if you get in the watchtower of your mind you can see that the reason history repeats itself is because it's His-Story.

Everything that is inside of you has been preached to in the past, that's why you don't want to be preached to anymore. Now your job is to repent it. That's why Jesus said, "Do not marvel at the things I do, for you shall do greater things." In other words, you've got a body of consciousness that needs to be repented. Your body is a form of the Supreme Being, but it's not the Supreme Being because it is
not informed that it's not Him. However, through the reformation of the mind it finds out slowly but surely that if there is a God then you're god of the body, a small god. Why? Because God means spirit and you're the spirit of the body. The lord of the body. People say, "well that sounds audacious", but it isn't. Jesus himself is called the lord of lords, or the king of kings. So you have to be a king or queen to that body, or a lord of it.

You're a spirit in the Supreme Being's body, you're one of His electrolytes or one of His blood cells, the same as all these people He preached to are members of your electrolytes or your blood cells. The body itself has a body of consciousness that is earthbound; it's bound to be on the earth by the consciousness of those who came before it. And all that accusing and all that condemning and all that nonsense going through your body is their life forever more.

You're here like the warden of a penitentiary, this is why you have a pineal gland. It's the penal code to that body that they can't get out of because they're there for a life sentence. The penitentiary of your mind is your psychic space and you're the warden. The "war"-"den", the den of inequity is at war, two natures fighting against itself. However you can put it to rest by providing an attitude for it that Jesus was referring to.

Jesus said, "The words that I speak unto you I speak not of Myself, but the Father that dwelleth in me, He doeth the works" -John 14:10. You can put the war to rest by getting yourself into the situation where you by yourself do nothing. That simply means you're not going to change yourself anymore. The only constant in the entire universe is change. It's going to be done. Do you go out there and decide when the ocean is going to have ebb and tide? No, you don't have control over that. You only have dominion over the earth in the sense of having seniority over earthbound intelligences, or the entity thereof that incorporates itself as your personality. You have say so over that because you are the one who has the awareness in the soul level that you're not any of it. That is, until you prove otherwise. And you prove otherwise by sowing to the flesh by believing you are your body-personality. You can now sow to the Spirit and be reborn.

If you want a change, say so long to your body-personality. Don't entertain it anymore. You see this wisdom referred to many times all over our world in different religions. In the Bible when Jesus changed Simon's name to Peter; in the Catholic religion when someone becomes confirmed and is given a new name and; in Rev. Moon's church he gives different names. You even see it in psychology when you are told to "re-label your subconscious mind". The truth of the matter is, the change of name just means a change of nature. When you change your name to symbolize your connection to the Supreme Being you are simply getting back your original essence or your nature
is with the Supreme Being. Jesus demonstrated to everyone what their nature was with the Supreme Being by being born without sin. That is, He was born without the ability to misperceive who He was, the Son of God. And this was done for your sake.

When Jesus was on the planet you were with Him. If you weren't with Him inside His body on this earth before, then explain to me how you got here. If you were not inside the Body of Jesus when you came here, I want to know how you can believe in Him, for if you were not you would not have His beliefs inside you. If your body was not already in your mother it couldn't show up. As above so below is the principle. People miss this fact. He stated out of His own mouth, "The words I speak, they are spirit and life" - John 6:63. In other words, they are you. They are eternal words. You are an eternal being that is immortal until you prove otherwise.

When you speak your vibrations your breath moves throughout the atmosphere like airwaves or signals. You are vibrating in there, you are being. What are you being? You are being a vibration of Him. In other words, you are being used by Him. Mentally speaking, you are in His Body. At the same time you are ensouled in this physical body for the safe keeping of those entities that would like to destroy themselves because they didn't listen two thousand years ago. They are the reincarnation, but you are the incarnation.

You never came into being until the moment Jesus stepped on this planet. He said He would create a new heaven, namely you; and a new earth, namely that body. And He turned what the people in His day thought was heaven into hell; and what the people thought was hell He turned into heaven. That's the only way you get away with what you get away with, because that body is going to run like a stallion until you get in it. It is going to do all the things that they did before you got a hold of it. So that's what a rebirth is all about - you take control.

The minute you quit trying to get someplace, you'll arrive. You'll awaken to take your stand to be still and know as the Man said. It's not a mystery to those who have ears to hear. They have the intent to listen. They can be frank, honest and to the point. And when someone can hear this they hunger for the Father's word even more. The problem arises when we get caught up in the trappings of religion, spirituality, the occult sciences and the like. We can't seem to get past the cloak of religion
so we get caught up in the religionist. We can't get past the cloak of spirituality, so we get caught up in the spiritism or someone channeling a thirty five thousand year old entity that says, "I am the Father, you are the Father, we are all the Father". It is the same as a psychological book that says "You're O.K. and I'm O.K.".

There is no reason for any of us to be in competition or jealous of another because there are no two individuals that will ever be alike, except at the spirit level. We are one in the Spirit, although many in the flesh. At the original core of being we are all God as far as the Supreme Being is concerned. So, which perspective do you want to look at it. The way that the world tells you, that says you are separated from God, or do you want to look at it from the perspective of the Deity, that says
that you are His Divinity.

It takes a labor of love to be able to handle the psychological changes when you hear something like this because it's medicine for the soul, it's the "truth be known" factor. And just like you take any physical medicine there is a certain kind of psychological side effect. It appears to the psyche that the cure is worse then the sickness. But your faith in your doctor lets you know that it will pass.

It is the same thing with an article like this. This is food for thought. It's food for the thought inside
you, that it better back off from you, and it better quit condemning you because there are beings like myself watching through bodies that can speak with the power of love to back that stuff off from harming a person's mind or compelling their mind to turn against them. But my words are not spoken in such a way that someone is going to attach themselves to the body that I indwell. Rather, my words are simply directing them to the indwelling light that they represent. It is not I by myself that does the works but the Father within me. And the Father within me is within you.

You are not the thoughts, you are not the emotions, you are not even the feelings. You are the being. You are that which is forever more. You just happen to look like Suzy or John temporarily. But when you finish your mission here, which is to give your body the kind of life that you want in mind for eternity (hopefully a heavenly one), you begin to uplink in consciousness. And when you do this you begin to bring witness to awareness that the reason you can't live the life of God is because you're living it - you just don't recognize it.

All the horrible things you see happening in the world today are the result of bodies that are out of control. The consciousness that existed at the time of Jesus is still out of control. The resident spirits haven't gotten in their bodies and taken the reigns of the mind through exercising the psychological maturity to harness it. Once these beings awaken the presence of the Supreme Being will repent those spirits who have been running away for two thousand years. And as a last resort, for those spirits who don't want to be repented or leave the body, the only way out is suicide; if they can't have the body they don't want the being who owns that body to have it.

Today we have more and more of the Holy Spirit on the planet. You can see it because there's more evil being seen. If the Holy Spirit wasn't around you wouldn't be seeing the evil. The evil would look like it's good. But now those who are trying to act like they are good are getting caught. So don't try to act good and don't try to act bad. Just be. Realize there are many lives but One Life. Everyone walks the same path but does it in their own way.

It is amazing how many people will participate in "hypnosis" or the "psychic arts" while refusing to go near the other because of fear. It is "mind boggling" when you come to think about it, especially, if you know as I do that they are truly the same, at core reality. Bear with me, please, as I explain their interdependent relationship with one another.

Edgar Cayce is known as the "Sleeping Prophet." In his conscious state of mind - he knew himself as "Edgar Cayce, Photographer and Sunday School Teacher." And, in the subconscious state - he knew himself as "Ra Ta, an Egyptian High Priest."

When Cayce was in the state of mind calling itself - "Ra Ta" - he was in the metaphysical realm of nature, giving psychic predictions upon nearly every subject under the sun. And, of course, when "Ra Ta" was absent, Cayce was present with the physical nature of the body. What caused him to go from the conscious state of being "Edgar Cayce", - to the subconscious state of being - "Ra Ta", - was the power of the psychical essence or, the soul memory of awareness residing in the blood.
Without hypnosis - "Cayce" couldn't experience the reality of "Ra Ta." The psychic power of hypnosis gives you the awareness necessary to alter consciousness. And, unless the consciousness known as Edgar Cayce was altered, the consciousness of "Ra Ta" would never have come into being.

As said earlier, Cayce was called the "Sleeping Prophet." The word sleeping is referring to the hypnotic state of mind once the psychical essence has altered the consciousness. Or, another way of saying the same thing is that Cayce was a "Sleeping Prophet" whenever he was in a trance like sleep. And, to makes things perfectly clear, he was never asleep and/or unconscious. If anything, he was much more aware in the trance state of mind than at any other time.

The word "hypnosis" has two synonyms listed in the thesaurus, - "dream and meditation." And, of course, the word "psychic" has a few words such as metaphysical, extrasensory, supernatural.
The two subjects belong to the metaphysical realm because you must use your psychic ability to dream (hallucinate) and meditate (ponder); simply put, alter consciousness.

People like to think of "hypnosis" as one thing and "psychic ability" - as another thing. In truth, your psychic ability to become aware of the psychical awareness of your soul memory instantly empowers you from on high to "know what you know" beyond conscious inductive reasoning. Metaphysically speaking, it gives you the added measure of being capable of arising in consciousness and enjoying the realm of the spirit often referred to as the metaphysical planes of the here-after; except, you can see it and explore it here-beforehand.

One must enter within the subconscious and experience the trance state of mind if a psychic reading and/or psychic healing is given.

It is just a matter of semantics whether I say that I am going to use hypnosis or use my psychic power. Either way, I am saying that I am altering my consciousness to do something within the realm of the spiritual and/or work within the mindset of myself or another individual.

I can call the inherited power "hypnosis"; or, I can call it "psychic ability." Either way, I am talking about something metaphysical, something beyond the physical. And what is beyond the physical is the psychical, and whatever is psychical is of the soul nature within man.

A hypnotist is just as much of a psychic as a psychic is a hypnotist. The hypnotist may speak of the subconscious while the psychic speaks of the aura. Once again, we're talking about the same thing.

Semantics would say otherwise. And, some people love playing semantics, they get off on it. In truth, we're talking about the same thing; we're talking about an energy - an energy that has intelligence and memory. It makes little difference whether I say we are going to cleanse your subconscious and/or cleanse your aura.

Think about it - "there is no separation in divine mind." It only looks that way because of the way we think. Think differently, and we'll see it differently.

Whether you are getting a psychic healing and/or receiving a hypnotherapy session, your consciousness is being altered one way or another. It is just a matter of how you want to look at it. I choose to look at it like it is, rather than how I'd like for it to be. I've already been there and done that and ended up with expectations upon myself and others that was insane, to say the least.

The "hypnotherapy session" and the "psychic reading" have one thing in common. You must bypass the critical factor of your conscious mind to enjoy either one. And, then of course, you must do a selective kind of thinking to maintain the experience. So, with that in mind, enjoy knowing the truth now, the truth that will set you into the freedom to enjoy both because they are actually the same.

This is a planet for slow learners. You've heard that before, right? You know that it's true or else we wouldn't have this other phrase, "History repeats itself". Why does history repeat itself? Because we keep re-enacting, and living the lives of our parents, and them their parents, and their parents, and so on and so forth, and it keeps continuing.

The Academy for Psychic Studies is a place where you can learn techniques and concepts, and then immediately apply them, to get you out of that loop of living other people's lives--other people's hopes, other people's wishes--instead of your own.

The Academy for Psychic Studies is a place to learn about your spiritual roots, and that's something we don't learn in traditional schooling. Your spiritual roots: there is no separation in divine mind. And it is so vital to learn how to be yourself - which is a spirit in a body.

One of Rev. William Duby's inspirations for starting the Academy for Psychic Studies was witnessing a priest giving someone his last rites. It occurred to him, "Why not give someone their 'first rites'? Let them know they are a spirit in a body, and so they can learn all that they are capable of, being a spirit in a body." And so the Academy for Psychic Studies was born in his mind.

He also said it was a spiritual kindergarten here. It's a place where you can learn the ABC's of spirituality, and have a great time doing it. Emphasis on HAVE A GREAT TIME DOING IT. You don't have to be serious. You can have a great time learning about yourself as spirit, no matter what age, no matter what race, no matter what religion, no matter what your background. Anybody can learn. Everybody can learn.

They are people studying here in their seventies saying, "I'm learning so much here, I'm learning so much about myself. Everyone is so supportive. I'm telling you, you're never too old to learn."

Rev. Bill also said the Academy for Psychic Studies is not a building, it's a vibration. It's an environment you create. You can take it with you. And he was so adamant about us maintaining an environment that is clean and safe for you to unfold as a spirit. All living things need a certain quality or environment to grow. And that is the purpose of the Academy for Psychic Studies.

The Vernal Equinox

The Spring holidays have been celebrated at least since the beginning of recorded history. They all mark the end of winter when the earth sleeps and the start of the spring session when everything seems to be reborn.

Spring arrives when the earth is tilted so that the sun is directly over the equator. In the northern parts of the world, the first day of spring is on or about March 21. This is the day of the vernal equinox. Vernal means spring; equinox means equal night. Night and day are the same length, each lasting exactly twelve hours on this day.

In ancient times before Easter was celebrated, people connected spring with the return of life to the earth. The return of spring in ancient times was of more consequence than it is to us today because winter food storages ended, crops could be planted and people didn't have to worry about how to stay warm.

Early people believed that each season was ruled by a certain deity. There was a deity called Eostre, the goddess of spring, who was worshipped in the northern and central parts of Europe. Her name is believed to have come from the word to describe the direction of the sunrise - "east." Some think the word Easter came from the same source. Every spring people in these regions held festivals to honor and thank Eostre. They offered her cakes that are similar to hot cross buns.

The ancient Greeks created a story to explain the change of seasons. Demeter was the goddess of earth and agriculture, and Persephone was her beautiful daughter. One day the earth opened up and Hades, the king of the underworld, abducted Persephone to be his bride. Demeter became so sad at her daughters disappearance that she stopped doing her work and all the plants on earth died. She then found out what had happened to her daughter and went to Zeus, king of the gods, to demand her daughters return.

Persephone had refused to eat anything in the underworld because she knew that once a soul ate anything down there they would be doomed to stay forever. However, Hades tricked her by telling her it was safe to eat seeds and she ate one. Zeus, knowing what had happened, ruled that Persephone would be returned to her mother every spring to remain for six months. The other six months of the year she lives with Hades, so her mother is gloomy and nothing grows in the winter time.

Some early tribes believed that things found in nature, such as bodies of water, mountain and trees, had their own spirits. It is believed that the May Day festivals started as a tree worshiping rite. The ancient Druids, a pre-Christian religious sect found mostly in Britain and France, thought that trees, and most especially oak trees, were sacred objects. The Druids prayed to the trees for sunshine, rain, and to make the earth fertile.

The Celts of Britain in ancient times also had a May Day Celebration. They believed that their sun god had been held prisoner all winter by the evil spirits of cold and darkness. Each year around the first of May the god escaped and brought sunlight and warmth back to the earth. To help the sun escape, the Celts lit giant bonfires on the highest hills of their villages. They did this to scare the evil spirits away and force them to free the sun. In many lands today, traditions such as lighting big bonfires and burning candles are still a part of springtime traditions.

Springtime is the season of renewal, where flowers blossom, all green things grow and people feel a renewal of energy within themselves. People even begin to wear lighter colored clothing to "match" the environment around them. But what is truly inspiring and responsible for these changes? At the time of the Winter Solstice an influx of Christ energy begins to travel down to the center of the earth, with the purpose of recharging the earth for the next season. By springtime this energy comes up to the planet's surface causing all the vast changes, both visible and invisible to the eye.

Spring cleaning then happens on two levels. Physically, people get rid of material things they no longer need or believe to be useful to themselves. Spiritually, people are discarding energies, ideas, and pictures in their auras that no longer fit them. The changing of each season provides us with a time to reflect and then make changes. Remember your New Years Resolutions?

Understanding the planetary cycles makes any changes you might want to make in your life easier, like a farmer knowing the best times to sow and to reap. There is more sunlight and warmth in the spring than in the winter. Yet the Christ energy or "Sonlight" is always shining, springtime is just another opportunity given by the Supreme Being to allow us to recognize this for ourselves.

The Connection of Body, Mind & Spirit with Hypnosis

One of the things an individual learns when they come to the ISHI School of Hypnosis Training is that they are not just the physical body, but they are a spirit; the living consciousness that gives the body it’s life and animation. Why don’t we already know this - why do we have to be reminded? We are born into a state of forgetfulness. We are asleep to our spiritual identity.

Let me give you an example to better explain this concept. When an actor goes to Hollywood to be in a movie, they are given a script about the character they will portray. The character has a certain type of personality and the movie has a storyboard about the character’s life. When an actor really gets involved in their role and believes they are that person for the duration of the filming, they usually win the Oscar. We all believed they were the character as well; we temporarily forgot we were watching an actor playing a part.

When you were born you were given a role to play. The character’s name was whatever mom and dad named you. The storyboard you were given about this character is the life you grew up in: Your name is John. You are Catholic. You will grow up to be a doctor, marry and have three kids, etc. See the correlation? All the information about your life “storyboard” went into your subconscious mind, the storehouse of memory of all the things you’ve ever done in your life.

This became the foundation of who and what you believe you are. When you became an adult and attempted to create a change or do something that went against the information, is when you experienced effort, guilt, failure etc. These issues of guilt, effort or failure can also manifest as a physical problem in your body. Maybe you’re overweight, or have chronic pain or suffer from insomnia, to give just a few examples. All healing is awakening to who you are - and when you tap into your true power within is when you can effectively create positive, permanent change in your life. This is where utilizing hypnosis to experience the connection of your body, mind and spirit comes into play.

Through hypnosis you are able to alter your consciousness and can then change your perspective to create a positive change in your life. When properly guided with a facilitator, you can rise above the belief that says you’re just a body, and get in touch with who you are as spirit. This is when you can really learn how to use your mind to keep yourself well. You realize you have power to choose the type of thinking you want to entertain which brings forth health and well being, financially, mentally, spiritually and physically. It’s putting the Law of Attraction into your life in a positive, conscious modality. When you are aligned in body, mind and spirit you become empowered to be the architecture of your life dreams.
