Obviously, I paid out more for both the product and delivery. Now, I see that it is again available on Amazon with significant discount.

Pros:
1) In the time of acquisition, the Acer T230H was the one of the largest multi-touch screens readily available. I think still is.

2) It reveals the multitouch features of virtually any Windows 7 laptop or desktop computer.

3) This may be transferred from pc to pc when needed. We now have examined it on both laptop computers and desktops running Windows 7 and it works perfectly.

Cons:
1) I was unable to finish the calibration program during setup. I had difficulty getting the T230H to identify the lower left calibration corners making use of a stylus from a Windows XP Tablet computer. I terminated calibration and used the default configurations. The T230H scans the lower left corners good with its factory settings making this truly no problem.

2) The device is a lot more costly than a standard 1920x1080 display. I'm certain it will drop in price as more distributors carry it.

Touchscreen Android Tablet

Apple iPad vs Amazon Kindle

Apple has surely plans to put its hands on Kindle dominated e-book reader market. Steve Jobs himself stated this during the famous iPad conference. iPad looks great with latest touch technology but lacks the sophistication to be the next Amazon Kindle. On the other hand, current iPad helped to bring awareness to evolve into more advanced devices for ebook reading.

The main difference between iPad and Amazon Kindle is Ink technology. While iPad doesn't actually provide it, Amazon Kindle tries to give natural book reading experience. We can conclude that Kindle is for more enthusiastic book readers, bookworms.

iPad, as a lightweight tablet with 9.7 inch touchscreen display still good for browsing Internet, watch movies if we ignore that it currently doesn't support Flash technology which is a serious lack. iPad follows the Apple's traditional price policy. Huge overpriced release, then step by step normalizing the price.

Currently, it is better to think that iPad is for casual fast reading like magazines. Overall, the price difference between Amazon Kindle and Apple iPad tablet is not much. If you aim to get more functionality except book reading, iPad can be a better choice for you.

Best Kindle DX accessories

Schematic RFID Powered Touchwall is Cool

After the introduction of Microsoft Touchwall, new innovating touchwall devices appear. One of the latest of touch powered devices comes from Schematic, a well-known interactive technology and advertising agency. Users identify themselves to large touchwall screen via RFID tags and begin using the screen elements (texts, objects, video, music etc.) by fingers.

It has several applications like interactive information displays at museums, or even better a product kiosk where you can buy anything you like after RFID tag validation. Schematic Touchwall was in live action at Cannes Lions International Adverting Festival. Here is a video showing how it works.

Microsoft Touchwall : The Future of Hi-Tech Walls

TouchWall is a cool hardware in the vain of iPhone with a touch screen feature created by Microsoft. As you can guess, the software was built on Vista called as Plex. Actually it is so similar to Microsoft Surface but Touchwall is simpler and is also significantly cheaper. The mechanism uses three infrared laser that scan the surface. If some movement cuts the laser line it is reported to Plex software for the needed action.

As you can see in the video, it works charmingly. Until now, Microsoft has taken mainly positive feedbacks surprisingly because it is a tradition to blame what Microsoft produces amongst the geeks.

It is quite possible that all the future desktop systems will work at the same way how Touchwall, iPhone and Microsoft Surface operates. My hopes are better for eliminating mouse and keyboard increased as well.

I think it is not commercially available from any company now
