Angels In America

Angels in America is the story of two couples living in New York in the 1980s, set against the stark backdrop of the Cold War. Prior and Louis have to deal with the disastrous news of a HIV diagnoses which threatens their relationship and puts things in perspective during the height of the AIDS crisis. Louis strains to keep his wits as his lover gets sicker, while Prior hides his pain with dry humour.
Joe and Harper&rsquo;s marriage suffers under the strain of Harper&rsquo;s valium addiction and pressure from Joe&rsquo;s work. We see Joe struggle with his own sexuality as Harper slips deeper into dependency. Tempers flare and their Mormon faith is tested to its limit. Both couples live in a world of corruption, politics, religion, fear of illness, and of being alone. And it is a world that seems to be coming apart around them as Harper and Prior slip through the boundaries of their own dreams and hallucinations.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/TownHallTheatreGalway/~4/9lDUAqmpKfg" height="1" width="1"/>
