A Call for Nominations for Champions of Gananoque is currently open, and we encourage the community to nominate individuals who through volunteerism have a direct impact on recreational and competitive sports in Gananoque. Three (3) individuals will be chosen to receive the award through the nomination process.

By nominating an individual, you are helping to raise awareness of the vital role that volunteers play. These awards were created to recognize our volunteers that help advance the development of sports and recreation at the community level.

The plaque for this award sits at the entrance of the Lou Jeffries, Gananoque & T.L.T.I Recreation Centre.

If you know someone who is deserving of this award, please complete the Nomination Form, (which includes the eligibility criteria) and either drop off the Form at the Town Hall, 30 King Street East or email to clerk@gananoque.ca.

The deadline to submit is Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 4:30 PM.

UPDATE: The repair is complete and the road has re-opened.

The disruption includes:
The Town will be completing an emergency watermain repair on the 100-block of Oak Street.

This repair will involve a temporary loss of water or water pressure to residents with water services connected to water mains in this area. When water pressure is restored, there may be some discolouration in the water. If you notice discolouration, please run cold water taps until the discolouration has cleared.

This repair will also require the temporary closure of the road in the area of thebreak.

If you have not registered for iCity Online, your bill will be mailed to you.

If you are enrolled in the Monthly Equal Payment Plan and have not registered for iCity Online, you will not receive a bill until July.

Eastern Ontario Power Advises Customers of Planned Hydro One Outage Affecting Gananoque

February 17, 2026 (Gananoque, Ontario) - Eastern Ontario Power (EOP) is advising customers in the Town of Gananoque that the planned Hydro One outage originally scheduled for Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. has been rescheduled to the alternative date of Sunday, March 1 from 6:00 am to 10:00 am. This mandatory outage is required by Hydro One to facilitate upgrades to their system. During this work, the main electrical feed to Gananoque will be taken offline, resulting in a town-wide power outage.

Hydro One has notified Eastern Ontario Power that the outage has been rescheduled to Sunday, March 1st” said Jackie Baird, Regional Manager, EOP. “We recognize the inconvenience this Hydro One mandatory outage may cause our customers and we encourage customers to plan accordingly and thank them for their patience and understanding.”
