  <title>Notice of Disruption in Service | Umbrella Update</title>

&lt;p&gt;There is currently a planned service disruption. The estimated time of the service disruption will be:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;From:&lt;/strong&gt; May 19, 2026 &lt;strong&gt;To:&lt;/strong&gt; May 29, 2026&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The disruption includes:&amp;nbsp;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br&gt;
Since the Town of Gananoque and Portage Power has completed the structural repairs to the umbrella adjacent to 10 king st next to Susan push,. The previous Contractor can continue the restorative work of finishing the shingles on north side and completing minor repairs and painting This work is expected to last approximately 2wks weather permitting.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;On behalf of the Town of Gananoque we would like to thank you for your patience while we complete these need repairs.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Unfortunately, we have become aware of a scam targeting vendors for the Gananoque Farmers’ and Craft Market.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;One of our vendors received an email falsely stating they had been accepted into the market and requesting payment be sent to an email address that is NOT affiliated with the Town of Gananoque.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Please note:&lt;br&gt;
✅ Official vendor communications will ONLY come from: &lt;a href="mailto:tourismcommunications@gananoque.ca"&gt;tourismcommunications@gananoque.ca&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;If you receive a suspicious email:&lt;br&gt;
• Double-check the sender’s email address carefully&lt;br&gt;
• Do not send payment or personal information&lt;br&gt;
• Contact us directly to verify before responding&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Scheduled line painting will take place in the main marina parking lot on Thursday, May 7th starting at 7:00am. We ask all vehicles to please be removed prior to this start time. The overflow lot on Main Street will remain open for alternative parking with a valid seasonal parking pass or by using the QR Codes displayed for a paid parking option.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The Town of Gananoque’s Emergency Management Committee is&amp;nbsp;reminding residents of the importance of being prepared and&amp;nbsp;are&amp;nbsp;sharing tips to help you and your family stay safe during&amp;nbsp;an emergency situation. This year’s theme&amp;nbsp;is,&amp;nbsp;&lt;i&gt;Prepared Together&lt;/i&gt;.&amp;nbsp; We&amp;nbsp;encourage people to be better prepared to protect themselves, their households,&amp;nbsp;pets&amp;nbsp;and&amp;nbsp;community.&amp;nbsp; Below are some helpful tips:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;✅MAKE AN EMERGENCY PLAN – Having a household emergency plan helps families know what to do before, during, and after an emergency. Plans should include communication strategies, meeting locations, and considerations for children, older adults, pets, and other vulnerable family members.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;✅&amp;nbsp;BUILD AN EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS KIT – Include water, non-perishable food, meds, flashlights &amp;amp; important documents. It is recommended that household prepare to be self-sufficient for at least 72 hours.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;✅&amp;nbsp;STAY INFORMED – Follow local news, weather alerts, and municipal updates. Stay informed about local risks.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;✅&amp;nbsp;PREPARE TOGETHER – Talk to your neighbours and help build a prepared, protected community.&lt;/p&gt;
