We’ve definitely been MIA around here, as well as on our Instagram account. The pandemic, multiple ankle injuries (for Katie), and life, in general, have gotten in the way. We took some time to think about this space and decided we still wanted to celebrate our love of play and toys.

We will be tweaking this site a bit, and also freshening up our Instagram. We are excited to hop back in and get going again!

This simple little card game is one of my favorites because it’s easy to figure out but also competitive to play. It’s a good one for mixed age groups. The official website says “Loonacy is a rapid fire game where players race to be the first to empty their hand by matching one of two images with the images on the open piles in front of them.  It’s easy enough to teach in a single sentence, and so addictive you can’t play just one game. “

We played a round of 3 games and Alex was the overall winner.

We’ve already blogged about how much we love Tsuro so now we will tell you about the 2nd Tsuro game we own called Tsuro of the Seas. This is definitely a more complicated game to play and we found it quite challenging, but also fun.

It’s another beautifully designed game and we thought the sea monsters were pretty cool.

We played 3 different times. Alex won the first one and Katie won the last two, making her the winner of the series.

You have to create pathways in the sea that keep you on the board and away from each other while also avoiding the sea monsters. Oh, and did we mention the monsters can move around? It’s a bit tricky!

Tsuro of the Seas is a fun game and we would recommend it if you like the game of Tsuro.
