Batch '80

2024-11-26T23:34:00.000-08:00

Hello everyone!

Just wanted to let the very few people who still visit my blog that I am still here even though I rarely blog anymore.

This video is for you guys, since most of us are about the same age who grew up in the 80s.

Take care and have a wonderful day 😊

Fur Dad

2023-07-05T13:17:00.001-07:00

I never thought that I'll be "furdad" again, but here I am, blogging about the three new members of my household.

Bruno was the one who arrived first. He "magically" appeared right next to my bed as I woke up.

Everybody already loves him. How can you not?

Just look at that face 😊

He can be stubborn at times, but his cuteness enables him to get away with it.

He is also the biggest "baby" out of the three 😅

The second member of my pawmily is Claudia, the yorkie.

Don't let her teeny tiny size fool ya!

She may be small, but she's full of sass.

She serves as my "alarm clock" which yorkie owners can probably relate to 😅

We didn't purchase Bruno and Claudia.

Their owners asked us to adopt them.

The last member of my pawmily is Paco the chihuahua.

He was given to us by our vet.

I was hesitant to adopt a third dog, but a dog is a blessing.

Pets are a blessing.

Just like Claudia, don't let his small size fool you.

He can be feisty especially to strangers, but once you call out his name,

he'll come running towards you to give you lots of licks, and will demand for a belly rub. 😅

The three of them can be a handful, but at the end of the day, the joy they bring me is worth it.

Have a nice day to the people who still remember to drop by my blog after all these years 😊

Afternoon Drive

2022-05-07T02:00:00.001-07:00

Just wanted to update my blog after my very loooooooooooooooong absence.

Do people still visit my blog? Even I rarely visit it 😂

Below is a short video of my late afternoon drive around town.

Had nothing much to do that day, and I haven't driven my car in a while because I do not go out as much as I used to due to the pandemic.

When will this annoying pandemic end? Aaaaahhhh! Kakainis!😡

Sorry about the rattling noise my camera kept making.

I guess I wasn't able to secure it tightly on my dash.

Have a nice day. Drive safely 😊

Name That 80s Tune

2021-06-12T05:30:00.000-07:00

Got nothing much to do today, so I decided to make a new video.

Been a while since I last made a post in this blog huh?

I'm doing well, and I am also wishing the same to anyone who is still visiting my blog.

So, can you correctly guess all 15 tunes from the 80s?

Have a good time listening and reminiscing 😊

Flashback 2020 - 1975

2020-12-19T09:28:00.001-08:00

It's the end of another year, a year that has been difficult for all of us around the world.

Crossing my fingers that 2021 will be less stressful and more productive.

A few months ago, I turned 45. Truly entered middle age category. Dadding daddy na talaga 😅

Decided to make a countdown to celebrate my 45 years of existence! LOL!

Will I still be here 45 years from now? I doubt it. I'll consider myself lucky if I reached 70 or even mid 60s.

45 years. 45 songs.

Starting from 2020 down to 1975.

I didn't include songs that I've already featured in my previous countdowns except for the last one.

So, which year were you born? Which decade is your favorite?

Have a wonderful time listening and reminiscing.

Happy Holidays! 😊

Catching Up!

2020-09-05T17:31:00.000-07:00

Yeah! That's right, I haven't blogged in ages 😋

To the people who still visit this blog, I hope all of you are doing well in spite of the challenges each one of us are facing due to the pandemic brought about by COVID-19.

I am crossing my fingers that some time next year, all of us can truly start having a sense of normalcy in our lives.

For now, until a vaccine is developed, please act responsibly, wear a face mask and practice social distancing when out in public.

Missing the sea and the sand.

Missing the times when all of us can be outside without the immediate concern for our health 😥

Anyway, in my previous blog, I posted a video of Ms. Philippines winning the Ms. Universe crown.

I decided to make another video, a countdown (I like doing countdowns) of evening gowns worn by Philippine candidates at the Ms. Universe pageant during the last decade.

Which ones are you favorites and least favorites?

Okay, this is all for now.

I will try to blog more in the future, even if I'm not sure if there are still people

following this blog 😅

Take care and have a wonderful day!

The Fairest of Them All

2019-01-16T11:19:00.001-08:00

Miss Philippines is Miss Universe 2018.

Fortunately this time around, there weren't any mistakes in the announcement

of the winner unlike in 2015.

She was my bet to win Ms. Philippines, now she's a Ms. Universe.

Congratulations Philippines!

Happy New Year! 😊

The 70s

2018-10-03T21:02:00.000-07:00

Another reupload.

The original video I uploaded many years ago cannot be viewed in my own country anymore so I had to re-edit the video and upload it again.

Have a wonderful time listening to some of my favorite ballads from the 70s.

It's been a while since I've posted anything in my blog.

A lot has happened during my absence.

People passing away.
Ups and downs. Can't help but feel melancholy thinking about them.

My house had major plumbing repairs, which was stressful. The old plumbing in my home's ground floor all had to be replaced. Decided to cut the old plumbing from the main tank, and installed external plumbing instead because I didn't want to break the walls of my house. Houses (walls) are made of concrete here in the Philippines. It'll be too much work, stressful and expensive to break the walls just to replace the plumbing inside.
Labor and cost of materials accelerated the graying of my hair 😨

Preoccupied with the family biz as well.

Had to update and tune our machines so they'll function smoothly and productivity will become higher.
I wish I win the lotto, so I can kick away all the anxiety and just relax....with hot men. Hahaha! 😆

Recently had my hair shaven. It's growing back now.
There were zits on my scalp, especially on the back of my head.
It's easier to apply zit cream with shorter hair or no hair at all.
The zits are starting to go away. Thank goodness! I hate zits 😡
I'm too old to have zits. I'm already ummm....30. LOL!
Fine! I'm 43! But don't tell anyone😅
It was probably the shampoo I was using which caused the breakouts.

That's all for now, and if anyone is still visiting my blog (which I doubt), I wish you
a wonderful day/evening. Mwah!😘

Love Songs 2000-2010

2018-04-17T11:07:00.002-07:00

Uploaded a new music video countdown because

the video with the same theme (love songs and ballads from the early 2000s) which I uploaded many years ago won't play in my own country anymore 😓

That old video had more than 600k views. Oh well...

Love Songs & Ballads 2000-2010 from Toyo on Vimeo.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this new medley of 25 love songs and ballads from

the very 1st decade of the 21st century.

I know I have said this numerous times in my previous blogs, and I will say it agan,

time really does fly by so fast.

Have fun watching, listening and reminiscing 😊

Nightly Routine

2018-04-11T16:21:00.001-07:00

This is how dusty the area I live in has become.

In the last 3 years, a lot of new rice mill businesses (aside from the old ones) have started operating in my town, which meant dust, dust and more dust! 😨

Anyway, nothing a little dusting off and some wiping action can't fix.

It's good exercise by the way 💪

Shiny and clean again 😉

Now it's time for your blogger to rest.

Take a shower too.

Wanna join? LOL!

I think I'm too old to be cracking such jokes 😆

Have a wonderful day/evening 😊

Flashback

2017-12-16T05:33:00.000-08:00

Haven't done one of these in ages.

The last countdown I made was way back in 2013

featuring movie theme songs from the 80s.

This time around we are visiting the 90s.

Not really my favorite decade, but at least it had some great movies and songs.

The video features a medley of 25 movie theme songs

starting with the upbeat and then transitioning to ballads & love songs.

Do you agree with my top 10?

Have a wonderful time listening & reminiscing 😊

Howdy!

2017-11-18T11:49:00.002-08:00

Just wanted to say "Hello!"

I was supposed to publish this last month, but I forgot to do so.

Your blogger is getting old ya know?! 😅

I had my driver's license renewed first week of October.

The total amount I paid was 727.26 pesos ($14) which included a late penalty fee of 75 pesos.

My license expired last week of September 😛

As I had expected, i.d. cards weren't available.

The receipt will serve as my license for the time being.

This problem (shortage of driver's license i.d. cards) has been going on for almost 2 years if I'm not mistaken.

One of the employees at the LTO (Land Transportation Office) told me to return on the 24th of November to follow up on my license.

Crossing my fingers that my i.d. will be available by that time.

This also happened to me last month.
Yup! It looks disgusting. It was painful as well.

I had a zit on my scalp. I popped it. It got bigger the day after which as I was brushing my hair, accidentally hit with my brush. Ouch!

I had just finished cleaning it with an antiseptic solution when the photo was

taken, hence the brown color on my scalp 😖

It took a week for the wound to close and heal.

Darn zit!

I think it's time for me change my shampoo 😄

Have a wonderful day.

Bored...erline

2017-09-17T15:08:00.000-07:00

Bored, old and....hungry. LOL!

Been a while since I last blogged huh?

Yup! I love that song too. Who doesn't? 😊

Yes, I am addicted to video games.

Been hooked on it since I was 13.

Here are some of the consoles I own.

Missing is the Sega Megadrive which I've given to my nephews when I

moved on to my very first Playstation.

And here are the current games that are keeping me from going out

of my house especially on weekends. Hehe! 😋

If you love video games, we will certainly get along very well.
Thanks for dropping by my blog.

Have a wonderful day!!!😊

Restless

2017-03-16T09:46:00.002-07:00

When sleep evades me.....again 😏

Did this a few nights ago.

Found it difficult to sleep, so instead of getting frustrated, I dubbed! LOL!

It has been a while since my last blog.

I've been busy during the last couple of months.

So if anyone is still reading my blog, I want to greet you a

wonderful day! 😊

Another Project

2016-10-18T05:04:00.001-07:00

Another home improvement project.

Decided to enclose my garage because I've had enough of the rain getting my vehicle wet.

This country has one of the most trying weather and climate.
If it isn't super hot and humid, it's raining.

It rains 8 months a year. Torrential rains. Thunderstorms. Typhoons. Geesh!

At first I thought of purchasing new motorized garage doors but

my iron gate is still in good condition and I didn't want it to go to waste.

Installed analok sliding windows on the side of the garage.

Polycarbonate sheets on the panels above the windows.

Polycarbonate sheets on the gate to keep the dust and rain away, and for privacy as well.

A new coat of paint on the gate and it's finished!

What's next?

My fence, but I'll do it once the monsoon season is over.

Have a wonderful day :-)

Nostalgia

2016-05-04T12:50:00.000-07:00

The heat wave is becoming unbearable.

Imagine enduring temperatures of 36 degrees and above, and heat indexes of 39 to 40+ degrees Celsius which is about 100+ degrees Fahrenheit. Gosh!

I didn't want to immediately turn on the air conditioner when I got home so I decided to take a late afternoon drive around town.

I stopped by my old high school building which apparently has been turned into a university extension.

I haven't visited it in a very very very loooooong time.

I'm pleased to see the acacia tree still standing.

The parking lot used to be unpaved when I was still studying there.

Now it's so neat and orderly.

The building looks so old.....because it is old!
It's "ancient." LOL!

They have air conditioners now?

Back in the day, the rooms only have a limited number of electric fans.

Some of us even brought and used hand fans to deal with the heat.

Sosyal may aircon na sila. Dati nag-aagawan pa kami sa electric fan.

Nagbabaon pa nga ako ng pamaypay eh. Hehe!

Right across the former high school building stands what used to be the elementary school building which has been turned into the parish church's living quarters/office.
I didn't go inside because there were people giving me stares while I was taking pictures.
The school transferred its elementary and high school departments to a different district during the mid 1990s by the way.

Right beside what used to be the elementary school building is the parish church.

(St. Martin of Tours Parish church)

The school I went to is a very religious catholic school.

A mass is always held every first Friday of the month and during important dates in the catholic calendar which students are required to attend.

When I was a kid, I used to hang around this monument after school with my classmates having "merienda" while waiting for the family driver to pick me up. Oh the memories.

The sun is finally setting.

Time for me to head out before the gates are closed.

Have a nice day :-)

Cravings

2016-04-23T10:08:00.003-07:00

Delicious "addiction" LOL!

I'm addicted to video games.

I'm addicted to anime.
I used to be addicted to umm..."love" ;-)

Now I'm just addicted to chips. Oh no!
Time to raid the pantry. Haha.

Fret not. I only have some on weekends. Sundays to be exact.
I am craving chicharon chips at the moment with some vinegar to dip it in, and a cold glass of Coca Cola to wash it down my tummy. Hehehe.
Yum yum!

Have a nice day!

I made this quite some time ago. Before I had my home repainted

Forgot to upload it because I was busy :-)

Nighty night!

2016-03-31T21:16:00.000-07:00

♫...lonely is the night... ♫

Just another warm, quiet evening in a sleepy provincial town.

Summer has already begun here in the country.

Not particularly fond of the heat but I'd definitely prefer it over the monsoon.

I hate dealing with torrential rains, typhoons, and floods.

Have a wonderful summer to everyone :-)

Retouched

2016-02-22T08:46:00.000-08:00

Finished!

Had my casual dining area, and my kitchen's prep and wash areas totally repainted.
Walls, ceilings, doors and cabinets, all painted.

The walls used to be white, the cabinets green, and the baseboards and crown moldings were green as well.

I replaced them with neutral colors.

If the partition between the casual dining area and the kitchen was mere drywall, I would have had it removed.

But just like most homes here in the Philippines, it's concrete.

It will be too much work and noise and dust if I had it removed

and I'm not ready to be stressed by that.

I would like to replace the countertop and backsplash in the future.

They're already dated. 12 years to be exact.

I want a slate countertop, white subway tiles for the backsplash and a farm sink as well.

Time to save some dinero :-)

Forgive the mess.

We're still in the process of cleaning.

The next home reno project is my hallway.

I'm merely continuing the same color palette of my receiving area.

The ceiling is going to be black and the crown moldings will be white.

The walls be a neutral gray and the baseboards will be white.

I'm loving the change.

It looks more modern now.

Have a nice day :-)

---0O0---

Here's an updated photo

Don't know what to do with that large cabinet.

It belongs to someone who used to live with me.

It's quite large.

I'll probably have my carpenter disassemble it.

10!

2016-01-14T07:48:00.002-08:00

Time flew by so fast!

It's been 10 years since I became a YouTube member January 14th of 2006.

This is my very first video.
I uploaded it on January 19, 2006.
I miss my youth.
Aging sucks! LOL!

Webcams back then have really awful video quality.
If you're new to this blog, that is how I sound when I speak. LOL!
Well, nobody's perfect :-)
Have a nice day!

I watched the pageant weeks ago but not in its entirety.

It was only a few days ago that I was able to watch its rerun in full.

I felt sorry for the Colombian that she was put in such an awkward situation.

I also felt bad for Ms. Philippines since she didn't get to fully relish her victory "moment" on stage.

As a Filipino I'm glad that she finally won the crown for the Philippines after 40+ years.

I edited out the unfortunate events in order to make the announcement of the winner, her victory walk, and coronation all seamless.
The pageant's classic theme was also used.
Happy New Year!

Have a nice day and weekend :-)

Happy Holidays!

2015-12-21T08:07:00.002-08:00

Happy Holidays!

I am doing much better now.

I had hay fever the last time I blogged.

It's rice harvesting season at the moment and the area I live in is extra dusty now being surrounded by numerous rice mills, hence my allergies.

It's also why there are no curtains in my living room at the moment. They are magnets for dust.

I only have one trusted assistant who does the housework (clean, cook, laundry & ironing, car wash, and so forth) and I don't want to give my assistant any more additional workload like vacumming large curtains.

My tree is up.

Finished setting it last Saturday evening.

It think it needs more lighting.

I'm still not done with my Christmas gift shopping though.

Can you believe that? My goodness!

I'm suddenly reminded of my Enzo.

I miss you little bud.

Again, Happy Holidays to all of us and may we

all have a wonderful year in 2016.

Take care :-)

Red!

2015-11-29T16:54:00.000-08:00

Last time I had a cold, and right now my cough is just beginning to subside.

My eyes were red a few weeks ago and just as I thought they were already healed, they turned red again yesterday. I went to my ophthalmologist but he wasn't at his clinic, so I had to return on Monday. Fortunately I still have some prescribed eye drops.

My stress level is already starting to rise and this happens.

So many red dots on my chest and back.

Red is color of the month I guess.

Red eyes. Red skin dots. Rashes.

I have to go to the doctor and have it checked on Monday as well.

Not sure if it's an allergic reaction or something else.

It's spreading to my arms.

What have I done to deserve this?

I take good care of my bod.

I live a quiet life and do not mistreat people.

Why this kind of karma?

Wala akong bisyo. Wala naman akong winawalang hiyang tao.

Ako pa nga kadalasan ang niloloko at winawalang hiya.

One at a time lang sana. Wag naman sabay sabay. Mag-isa lang ako eh.

This body is so uncooperative.

I can do this. I have to, the only person I can rely on is myself since I'm not fond of asking help from other people.

Anyway, these types of situations build up a person's character.

I hope December will be a better month because I plan on celebrating the Holiday Season this year.

Last year I didn't really celebrate it bec. of all of the fucked up things that happened.

This year I truly plan to.

Infatuation 2015

2015-11-18T22:58:00.000-08:00

So many cuteys popping out these days. I wish I was young again :-)

I haven't blogged about this kind of stuff in years.

I had a fun time picking out the hotties.

Going to concentrate mainly on Pinoy celebrities okay.

5th in my list is Rodjun.
If you're hungry for a total beefcake, he's the stud for you.
Look at that bod! Wow!
High in protein. Low in fat. Hehe.
He also happens to be a good dancer. Pogi points for that.

Rodjun Cruz 28 5'9"

In 4th spot is Filipino heartthrob, Alden.

He may not possess the most defined bod but he is definitely cuteness overload!

He's a talented actor. He can also sing and dance. What more can one ask for?

With his wholesome image and background, he's the type of guy you would be confident to introduce to your family.

Alden Richards 23 5'11"

3rd place goes to Dennis.

He's been on my list of crushes for the longest time.

He's one of the best actors of his generation and also one of the best looking faces in Philippine showbiz in my opinion.

The man ages like wine.

Dennis Trillo 34 5'7"

Runner-up is JM.

What I like about him is his typical Filipino good looks.

Pinoy na pinoy ang dating niya.

This talented young actor seems to be facing a lot of personal issues lately.

I hope he pushes through.

Nevertheless, I find him hot!

May nanliligaw sa akin medyo kamukha niya,

parang gusto ko na tuloy isuko ang aking bandila. LOL!

JM De Guzman 27 5'7"

Oh JM, we can blow...dry each other any time. Hehe.

And my numero uno celebrity crush for 2015 is....indie actor, Martin!

His is an angelic face with a body that tempts you to commit

a lot of sins. LOL!

If you want your guy lean, hairy & carries an extra large package, Martin's the one.

What a bulge! Yum! Yum! ;-)

Martin del Rosario 23 5'8"

So, who is your crush, celeb or not?

It's always nice to have someone who puts a smile on your face, just by thinking about the person.

I have a cold and a cough. My left eye is also red. I had it checked yesterday and the ophthalmologist prescribed an eye drop which I have to administer every 2 hours.

I cannot wear contact lenses for 2 weeks. I hate wearing glasses.

I try to take care of my body as much as I can because I hate getting sick.

It can be frustrating to get sick if you're alone, but I just have to suck it in.

Hay naku!

I'll just Google more scantily clad photos of the men above so I'll feel better.

Maybe I'll hit a jackpot and find nude ones ;-)

Have a nice day!
