Inspiration in the Kitchen

Sometimes, life can get in the way of your creative pursuits. I have been, like so many of you, just swamped at my job (which I love), fighting off a perpetual cold (which I don’t love) and wiping Lenny’s runny nose (which I wouldn’t trade for anything, except Lenny’s non-runny nose). It’s times like these that I don’t have time to shoot just for the sake of it and I certainly don’t have time to take on any client work. There’s a light at the end of the tunnel in March, but for now I seem to be doing most of my shooting in the kitchen. There’s never any shortage of time or inspiration in there it seems. The smells, the sounds and most of all…the colours.

I’m finding it hard to believe that we’re already two weeks into 2012. Time just seems to be flying. I just went through some of my shoots from this past year and put together this slideshow of my favourite images from 2011. Looking back, 2011 was a really special year for me. I’m feeling so grateful for all of my wonderful clients and all of the adventures I’ve been able to take my camera on. Can’t wait to see what the next 12 months bring!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, lovelies! Hope you all had a wonderful holiday. We spent Christmas and New Years here at home in Toronto but the week leading up to the holiday was spent in New Orleans where we met Sasha the cat who enjoys the jazz brunch at The Court of the Two Sisters. Isn’t she fabulous? I’ll have some more shots from December in New Orleans this week. Hope you enjoy!
