In this episode, I’m a bit confused by the numbering system for the Roadshow Podcast. We’ve been doing this for 12 months. Does that make this Vol. 2, Ep. 12?  That’s what we’re going with.

Today we’ve got the third installment of Selina Rosen’s short serial The African Frog, followed by Julia Mandala’s short story Redneck Wizard from the chapbook Dracula’s Lawyer.  Finally, Kathi Turski reads us an essay on Menopause Barbie.

Today’s podcast features two readings from the Anthology I Should Have Stayed in Oz, including Vicky Malone Kennedy’s story Silver Slippers and first time author Traci Lewis.

We also have the second part of Selina Rosen’s serialized short story, The African Frog.

This episode of the podcast contains the first part of a multi-part story entitled The African Frog by Selina Rosen, as well as readings from Margaret H. Bonham and Susan Satterfield.

The Four Redheads are back! This time Sara Lee has found a new loophole to help the four of them get out of their contract with Satan.  If each of them get married, their new husbands have to assume the roles of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

But can the Four Redheads handle the dating scene after all these years?  Are they ready to tackle speed dating?  And what about navigating the rocky rapids of online personals? Should they let a friend fix them up?  And who does a minion of hell choose as a wing-man?

Just especially for Valentine’s day, this months’ podcast contains readings from each of the authors of the book.

January has been a little hectic, so this podcast is about a half-month late. Nevertheless, I wanted to bring you something cool (If Selina does not kill me for doing this).  So I present to you an all-musical edition of the Yard Dog Press Audio Roadshow.

It’s Christmastime and Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa, and possibly even Saturnalia. Do you know what that means?  It means that we trot out the festivus carols and the jingle bells for another episode of the Yard Dog Press Audio Roadshow.

First Up, Sue Sinor reads a story about a nice young man who goes about “acquiring” Christmas presents in a way that most people would never consider doing in “Christmas Shopping.” The story is part of the chapbook “Playing With Secrets.”

Then, Selina Rosen tells us a little about her life as an editor with the gift that keeps on giving –to her compost heap.  I’m  talking about the slush pile.

Lastly, Julia Mandalla brings us a reading about the other guy (or in this case, gal) in the bright red suit and her redheaded minions in The Four Redheads of the Apocalypse: Apocalypse now.

Today’s podcast was a real turkey to put together, thanks to crashing programs and editing glitches. Although thanks to the fact that I made backups of the episode, I never had to start from scratch.

So by the way I’m talking about turkeys and saying that I’m thankful, you can tell that this is a thanksgiving episode.

Thanksgiving is a time to spend with family you may only see once a year. And hopefully, if they annoy you too much, you can be thankful that you only see them once a year.

October is Halloween month, which means it’s time for a very ghoulish podcast from Yard Dog Press.

Like a mad scientist with a tesla coil, I chopped bits of this podcast from recordings taken at Fencon/Deepsouth Con over Memorial Day weekend. Then, I stitched it together and jolted it full of electricity. The resulting podcast is Alive! Alive I tell you! Muahahaha!!!!

First up, is a reading by Katharine A. Turski from her newest short story collection, It’s the Great Bumpkin, Cletus Brown! Katharine’s reading is from her Legend of Sleepy Hollow/Twilight mashup parody entitled “The Legend of Creepy Holler”

Then Selina Rosen gives her thoughts on the one woman for whom every day is Halloween: Lady Gaga.

Finally, Jeff Turner pays homage to Edgar Allan Poe with his poem, “The Bird.” Which is available in the Yard Dog Press collection Flush Fiction.

Obligatory Pimping (because we have to keep the lights on): Although it’s Halloween, don’t forget that Christmas is right around the corner, and books make great gifts.

Lastly, Jerry Davis reads from his short story “It Came From Willy McCracken’s Buttocks,” which was also featured in Houston, We’ve got Bubbas.
