ERP resellers were provided a preview of the TradePoint merger and below are some highlights of our meeting worth sharing to prospects, customers and others.

Darwin started in 2003 with their flagship product Evolution started as CRM and built other modules as it evolved on .Net technology.
It uses SQL 2008 express edition which provides more data space for business to use for more years compared to SQL 2005 edition (underlying fact is it stores all binary data such as files, documents, pictures as windows files) thus helping to store more data for your transactions.
It uses LINQ (its better than regular SQL layer)
Sync Technology - This takes to next level of de-centralized yet integrated, with synchronize in real time (nearly) will enable you to now work off site locations, or locations which might lose internet connections or you could have your website isolated and be able to sync at any time.
Integrated e-Commerce can now reside outside of your business and yet be in sync with your back end business applications thus bringing flexibility to host and serve online vs offline demand.

TradePoint Enterprise New name to Evolution from Darwin

TradePoint Enterprise known as Evolution Software from Darwin Productions, they have gone into metamorphism and evolved as TradePoint Enterprise. Tradepoint is an ERP software for small and medium business built on Microsoft .Net Technology.

We have been following Evolution from Darwin over last 4 yrs when it surfaced on the small business computing forum when I noticed a post by Damian (CEO, 2005) and we evaluated the software which was in its initial release cycle but boy in few yrs they have surfaced with new look, added some great features.

One of these days I need to evaluate the entire solution from backend accounting, Inventory, POS, e-Commerce, document mgmt, CRM and take it for a spin to see if it can take on the big boys in the ERP space.
