3 minute TV Program: You can significantly improve website traffic by using this forgotten but powerful YouTube method.  I discovered this purely by chance when I was searching YouTube videos for spectacular jazz trumpet performances.

Here’s the Traffic Trick:  Put simply, you place your own video response under a massively viewed YouTube video that is in the same market niche. This will improve website traffic to your web page. For example, one of the trumpet videos on YouTube has attracted over a million views, and this number is increasing daily.  Video responses under that receive spillover traffic from the main video.

Now here’s the secret:  You’ll get extra traffic to your site because your video response will attract a lot of views simply because it is visible right underneath the famous one.  (It must of course be ‘niche aligned’ with the main video.)

One Vital Point:  Be sure to place your website link beside your video response.This can substantially improve website traffic because people will click on the link and arrive at your website.

How to make a ‘YouTube Response’ video:  Easy:  This can be a simple Camtasia, Camstudio (free software) or Windows Movie maker screen capture video.  Just set out some bullet points, then talk to them. Include a relevant image if possible.  Even better, use a low cost flipcam to record real live video.

This is Traffic that lasts and lasts …  Bottom line is that Traffic will keep arriving long term at your site, because the famous video will continue to attract views and carry your video along for the ride.   This is a very simple but often forgotten way to improve website traffic with a very low level of effort.

The fact is that Twitter Traffic can generate valuable business contacts with breathtaking ease, not remotely possible using traditional forms of communication where many gatekeepers stand in your way.

These contacts themselves can generate the traffic you need since they are already in touch with your market niche and have ‘pre-filtered’ it for you – such as by a mailing list, or their own Twitter followers and Facebook friends.  This is your short cut to mass distribution, created by the one-to-one starting point on Twitter.

So here’s the deal:  Twitter Traffic and contacts will appear almost miraculously, but only if you use it in a ’social’ sense, and not as a way to ‘mass mail’ a faceless audience.

The bottom line is that for you to to attract highly targeted, high value  ’Twitter traffic’, you must CONNECT by way of real conversation as if you are at a giant cocktail party.  There’s a lot of noise all around you, but if focus is maintained on an immediate connection with one person at a time, the result is more traffic, more trust and ultimately more business and sales.

You can create an effective video using a free application like Windows Movie Maker. (Or ‘CamStudio’ - a free screen recording software. )   You make 3 or 4 slides with a simple coloured background with a few relevant sentences, and add the MP3 soundtrack from your Skype call.  Output the video as .MP4 or .mov and upload to Tube Mogul for distribution across the internet. The temptation to aim directly at the money online has the potential to ruin you.  Here’s the real target to aim for:

If you cease aiming at the money, and instead make your target a niche market in the area of your own expertise, you’re on the road to a successful enterprise.

Bottom line is, many operators online get cash register signs in their eyes when they observe success by a operator skilled in a specialist market niche, and attempt to copy this – i.e. aim straight at the money.  But inevitably their lack of skill in the niche works against them and they fail to convince the market they are targeting.

Here’s the deal:

Offer a service or product in which you are skilled, that you know is of great value to your niche market, and build your business around it.  Hunt down the customers who need you and your service.  In essense, pick  a target market that you know at least something about, and your chances of collecting the prize are dramatically increased.

But to take advantage of this change you must be in position well beforehand … like right now.

This point struck me like a thunderbolt last night. I’m here in London for Christmas with my family, and we were standing in Piccadilly Circus – the famous street intersection in London.  The gigantic advertising signs were flashing and glowing the same as 20 years ago when I last visited.  But back then it was all neon and bulbs.  Now it’s giant video screens.  It made me realise that even though we think things have advanced as far as they can, nope, wrong, there’s a ton of change to come.

Here’s the deal then:  Business opportunities are going to reveal themselves online as the internet changes in ways we simply cannot predict.  They will be huge, and you will be able to take advantage of them, but only if you are already in the game.

The point I am making is to avoid waiting around until you’ve ‘learned everything’, or for an ‘ideal’ time to make your beginning. That will never occur.

Instead, take action now and get that website or blog up and running.  The future is yours for the taking  …  and it’s going to arrive sooner than you think.
