Today we find ourselves in an ever competitive world, every day, more and more people are turning to the internet to hunt for something, anything that can help them make a little more cash, but sadly, all they end up finding are get rich quick scams and rip-offs. Regretfully, traffic exchanges are by nature a promoter of this type of website.

Every webmaster wants to push their websites to the top of the ladder, and some will do this by hook or crook. No, I am not writing this to target anyone, but to make those that are unaware of the risks many of these websites bring.

There are sites with virus or spyware, sites that harvest email addresses so they may SPAM you to death. I do my best here to keep these risks down to a minimum, but, after they have been approved and activated, these things are added, so, they manage to slither past, but, if they stay in the rotation very long, there are mmany of our members out there that will report them and I WILL SUSPEND THEM!

Website traffic is a double edged sword, by promoting your site on a traffic exchange, you open yourself up to these SPAM and Malware sites that harvest your email address, or break the rotation to take you to a site in the quest of getting better Google or Alexa ratings, but, in actuality, many of these sites are not even taken seriously by the search engines, they are known SPAMMERS, and yes, traffic from a traffic exchange is SPAM traffic, when done in excess, I know, I used to have many sites on hundreds of exchanges, and yes, a few years ago, it did work, but not any more. Google looks at your site as a SPAMMER when it gets most of its page-views from traffic exchanges.

If, traffic exchanges are bad, why do I have one, you may be asking, because, if the traffic is of at least 30 seconds per visit, it is at least counted as a real visit, anything faster than that is not and will hurt your rating, if, it is even counted as a visit. This site was created to help “real” websites get exposure, not just traffic, unfortunately, to keep it all rolling, I have to allow some of the “other” sites, and I thank any and everyone that surfs here, and I give you my word, that the hit and run or sign-up and run members, will not get their sites activated. If you are a regular surfer, you know who you are, I do my best to keep your sites activated, I check at least once a day, if possible, but, I know, sometimes a site will be added after I have already checked, so it seems like two days, sorry about that.

My plea to you all is to keep the junk down to a minimum, I know that you have just recently signed up for some miracle website that is going to guarantee you whatever amount of money, good luck with that. I know that we all work very hard, and surfing is a pain in the butt, but, if you see a site that is interesting, take a closer look at it, there may be something there for you or someone you know. If you see a site, that you know is a scam, report it as such, I know, I got burned a couple of times myself, it happens, so, report it!

Getting traffic to a “real” website is my goal here, not to promote, or somehow endorse any of the “junk” sites that may end up in rotation here, so, be careful, think twice before you give up your money, or even an email address, it could be a bad decision.

Another important issue: If you take the time to sign-up and surf, ALLOCATE CREDITS to your sites, if not, I will delete them, if you can’t take the time, neither can I, so if you sign up, then come back and your account is gone, sorry, but I have to keep the “waiting” list clean for those that do, the list gets long, and trying to weed out those that have surf from those that have not is tough enough, and many of these that do get deleted, never even know it because they don’t come back.

There is a new problem showing up, URL cloaking, for those that do not know what that is, it is quite simply, hiding the real URL! Yes, there are sites that offer short URLs, like TinyURL.com, and, for some things this could be ok, but, with all of the virus and spyware out there, hidden or “cloaked” URLs are not acceptable on a traffic exchange. Now don’t get me wrong, TinyURL.com is not a bad site, in fact, if you use Twitter, you URLs could show up using that service, and TinyURL.com offers a “preview” feature, which will allow you to see the site, before you go there.

Anyway, I am not just talking about shortened URLs, I am talking about this new wave of “Flash Pages” and the like. Why are they so bad? SPAM! Yes, that and other potential spyware that is being added in these hidden URLs. Now, I know that most folks using these things, think it is just a cool way of advertising both, their site and the third party site, thus giving you more credit on another site, what you may not know, is these pages are adding dangerous tracking cookies and are hiding things that are potentially even worse!

I monitor this site, both by surfing many hours a day, and by checking each and every URL submitted, and, in the past, I had approved many of these sites, just out of ignorance I guess, but guess what, I started getting SPAM email from several new sources, and upon further investigation, I found that it was some of these “flash” or “landing” page sites, some using frames and such that allow a hidden site to pop-up randomly, much like a rotator, which is also not allowed. So, from now on, there is yet another new rule, NO HIDDEN URLs! If you cannot use the real URL of your domain, DON’T bother submitting it! I know there are several currently in rotation here, I am putting a bounty on them! If, you should find a suspect site, report it and if it is a bad site, you will get a bonus! If you are the submitter of these type of URLs, you may as well delete them, as I will be hunting them down and suspending them. Hey, don’t take it personal, you can submit the actual URL for your site, but, I HATE SPAM and those promoting it will be removed! Thanks for surfing!

OK, maybe I am just in the right mood, maybe it is part of a plan, either way, it is better for everyone! I am once again, changing a few things, that should be better for everyone.

As I stated in my last post, I am no longer surfing hundreds of sites, only 3 or 4 now, to be, almost exact. The first of course is TrafficComplex.com, the second is ShalomAutoHits.com, and the third is AutoHits.dk, why you may be wondering? These are the only other 30 second autosurf traffic exchanges that I know of, I have been a member there for a while and many of you here have signed up, thanks, but, in the past, I felt that more is better, and that if one combined 30 second sites with others, it would be ok, I no longer feel that way.

Yes, I could still have many credits on hundreds of sites, but, I am going to abandon them! Yes, I surfed, I earned them, but, these quicky hits did me no good. So, I am no longer surfing them.

The sites listed above are thirty second sites, but if you allocate 1000 credits, they will be gone in seconds! Why? Because they have that many members! The one, autohits.dk, has been around since the beginning of surf sites, as a matter of fact, that could be the very first one! So, what is my point?

I am going to move this site in that direction, if it has kept them around for that long, and they have that many members, members that surf as much as theirs obviously do, I am going to try and build up this site the same way. Those of you here with tons of unused credits may be happy about this, those that only surf here and there, it will not bother you, so, it will hurt no one.

You may have noticed the 1:1 ratio, that is but the first part! The surfbar bonuses will remain as well, though slightly less often. The referral bonuses are staying the same, if you refer a new member that surfs the required minimum. (I would recommend signing up at those sites listed) For the New Members that sign up, the INITIAL bonus is 100 credits, once they surf that minimum, they will get the 3000 hits credited to their accounts.

For those surfing here now, I am sure that you are happy with this change, for those yet to come, it will also be a great place, so, lets get out there and promote on the two sites listed above. Place your referral pages on those sites and bring in some new blood! The members of those sites are happy there with 30 seconds, and NO Bonuses, we have bonuses! Want more?

Over the next few days, I will be coming up with new pages that advertise this site, on those sites only, if you work with me, and put your referral pages there as well, we will get more quality members to help us out! So, what are you waiting on, go sign up at those sites listed above now, and do not forget the referral page! When you sign up you are offered a bunch of credits for a special price, I bought them, it is a great deal, just one word of warning, DO NOT allocate all of them at once, not only will it crash your server, they will all be used up in just minutes! Oh, and they allow sound, so, if you surf at night, turn your sound off!

As selfish as
a

Every once in a while, we all have to make decisions and choices, that do not, at first, seem to be fair. I have to say, I have noticed that these choices are doing something, yes, obviously the volume of traffic has gone down, seemingly drastic at first, but now, not so much.

As selfish as it may sound, my workload has gone down, but, the productivity has gone up! If you are keeping stats on your site(s) you may soon notice a few changes, I know that I have since I cut out the quicky hits.

For those that have always had a low PR (Google Page Rank) and are only interested in getting more bodies to sign up for your “plan” or give up their email for one scheme or another, no, these changes will not do you any good, but, for those that are here, promoting real sites, with real products, these changes could be important.

Since requiring a New Member to surf 500 pages at 30 seconds, instead of 100 pages at 5 seconds, the new members are surfing more, and more often, thanks, and even some of the older members are coming back and surfing, now that the traffic is of better quality. As you know, I used to surf literally hundreds of exchange sites, I worked myself to a frazzle, just surfing, I have promoted literally hundreds of other exchanges, but, that is no more!

Where I used to get maybe 20 or so, organic or search engine referral visits to my sites, I am now seeing hundreds, from 2-10 % on one, up to 45% , 54%, with direct traffic, that tells me that the powers that be, Google, are now seeing my sites differently. I have one, that when it debuted was a PR4, then rather quickly went down to a 2, and yes, Google did change up a bit, but now, due to the better traffic, I am expecting it to go way up.

So, for those of you with “real” websites, keep up the good work, it will pay off in the long run. For everyone else, thanks for surfing and looking at our sites, without you, this site would not produce as much, I hope that those with the “other” sites would just get real ones, with real products, or as in my case, just be something besides a scam.We have many new members, that are offering good sites for us to view, and now, we have a great 30 seconds to look at them!

Well, it is done! I sent out emails, yet we still had many that didn’t come back and login and surf, so, all but the ones that are obvious referrers, meaning, they had well over 10,000 credits on their account, have been deleted. I am going to guess here, but I believe it was somewhere around 50-60 members, that is a pretty good chunk, but, I had to do it to clean up the database so that the surf will run smoothly for the rest of us.

Now that we a consensus on the time limit established, the next step is to clean up the “undesirable” websites. As the rules clearly state, there are certain types of sites that are NOT allowed.

You must Surf at Least 500 pages WITHIN 24 HOURS OR YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE DELETED!

NO SOUND!, Adult, PTP, PTC, Get Rich Quick, E-mail Harvestors, or SCAM Sites will be approved, so please don’t submit them!

VIOLATORS SITES WILL BE SUSPENDED! ONLY ONE ACCOUNT PER USER!

It is time for another poll, as always, the poll will be there for everyone, it is up to all of you to help me on this, and it will go beyond just the poll. Last night, while surfing, an ADULT site popped up! I am sorry if anyone here saw that and was upset by it. How did this happen? The site was listed as a “Make Money” site, and, when I activated it, it was! This was a blogger site, so, as is this part of this site, the content is subject to change at any time. This leads me to be suspect of other sites of that type, however, it is just like a gun control law, ‘guns don’t kill people, it is the people that misuse the guns that kill people’ so no, a blogger site is not bad, but, and this is where the poll will come in, a “make money” blogger site could be.

We have many members that have legitimate business websites, and that is for whom this site was built, but, a surf site is controlled by the numbers, simple math, we have to have members that surf! Also simple math, is the fact that most of the accounts that were deleted, were of that “make money” group, the user had signed up, surfed 100 pages, and disappeared, see where this is headed?

The new poll that you will find in the sidebar, will address the different types of sites and you should select all that apply.

I know that many of you are promoting these “questionable” sites, so, you in particular need to vote in the poll. As the poll will reflect as many types of site as I can think of, I may miss something, so, just contact me and let me know if I do. This poll is a more serious poll than the others, as it effects many of our current members, and many of the new members yet to come. Don’t worry, I am a fair person, and as always, the final decision will be somewhere in the middle of the poll results, that is why it is so important that everyone votes! If you don’t vote, then your opinion will not be reflected in the results. So, please, everybody VOTE!

For those still reading, you are the more dedicated surfers here, as many will not even read thia, those that do, and make it this far, will be the ones that make the decision, and will be of the most assistance in the next part, the reporting! Yes, the reporting, that has been the basis of the rules on this site since the beginning, it was and is, up to you, to report a site that you find violates the rules! I thank you all for understanding, this site is not just another surf site, this site is a “team” site, you do not get paid to surf and you do not get credits just because you fill out a form.

NEW RULES!

From now on, NEW members WILL NOT receive bonus credits upon sign-up! There will also be no referral bonuses on the new members signing up! OUCH! I can hear it now! The way it will be, from now on, NEW MEMBERS MUST SURF 500 PAGES at the time of sign up!

Referral Bonuses will also be applied, once the new member has surfed the required 500 pages! The bonuses for showing your referral pages will remain the same, it is just the sign up bonuses that will be effected. This may sound a little bit harsh, and yes, it will stop some from signing up, that is ok, it is these members that surf 100 pages and go away. You may wonder why the referral bonuses are included, simple, there are those that, refer themselves and then disappear!

I have seen a pattern, a new member will sign up, surf 100 pages, get a referral or two, that also surf 100 pages, yet they apply all of their credits, sign-up and referral bonuses, to identical sites, and then go away! Yes, we have all seen that the same site shows over and over, that is one reason why. I have allowed it to this point because they have surfed the required 100 pages, but, this will happen no more!

Those that truly are referring know this well, it takes time to get a referral, maybe a friend will sign up, but identical sites, listed in the same way, with the same amount of credits? Yes, it is obvious! So, after I publish this post, these changes will go inte effect and I will create the poll, then, an email will be sent. I hate to be so strict, but, as always, things get abused, and the rest of us are the ones that suffer, however, this WILL NOT change anything for our team players, you will get your referral bonuses, it will just add more work for me! So, keep on referring! Keep on surfing! We will keep on getting our traffic!

I have saved the worst for the last, but, if you are here for quality traffic, traffic that will help your site, and not just a bunch of pageviews by the same person, which Google and the others, look at as SPAM, the surf timer must be changed, sorry. I like to see that my site was visited 2 or 3 thousand times a day too, but, those of you that wish to truly help your website, and not just throw a bunch of crap in the wind, this will be good news to you!

Let me explain, anything less than 30 seconds, actually hurts your sites pagerank (PR)! In the early days of this site, the timer was set at 30 seconds, and one of the sites I have in rotation, had a PR of 4, after 6 months or so of the 5 second timer, that site has a PR of 2! That is not the goal for those trying to help their site! So, as of now, the surf timer will be set at 30 seconds! You will see less of the “questionable” sites, and it will weed out those that are here to just “hit and run”! Yes, we will lose a few members over this, but I would rather get 1 good visit to my site than 6 bad ones, I hope that you feel the same, if not, we will miss you, and I am sorry, but I have to clean this site up.

Lets surf!" width="398" height="323" />Well, the vacation is now long over, and after getting a few other things done, I realized that I had forgotten to write a post here, sorry. During my vacation, I somehow managed to shop, fish, eat, spend time with the family, and even get sites approved and surf! I have to admit, when my daughter first got here, I didn’t think I was going to survive. Since she is only in her twenties, she still has the ability to run all day long, doing those things young women do, like shop! I must have walked a thousand miles!

Based on your votes in the poll, (I went with the average) it looks like the time limit will be set to three (3) months for inactive members, after that, the accounts will be deleted! Consider yourself warned, if inactive members have not logged in and surfed a bit by the end of March, come March first their accounts WILL be deleted.

Anyway, it is time to get back to work! Traffic has been steady, but it is time to crank it up again! Lets see if we can set a new record! I will be sending out an email to let everyone know, but lets get this machine rolling! Lets get to surfin’, lets get some traffic! Lets get some referrals! Thanks everybody, you are a great team! Now, GET BACK TO WORK!

As brief a summary as I can write, you know me, I get long winded, my daughter, who lives in Germany, and is a German, is here with her boyfriend for their second visit. Yes, this is a big deal for me. I sent out an email about a week ago, letting everyone know that I will be a bit busy, yes, I am checking sites and approving them as always, but, I am not quite as active as normal, so, the reason for this post is to thank you all for surfing and being patient with me during this time.

Traffic is moving at the normal rate, new members are signing up and everything is going well, Thank You! I haven’t found a lot of issues to address, except to remind you all to allocate credits to your sites, espescially when submitting a new site. I am limited on my time, so when I check sites for approval, if they have ZERO credits allocated, I am not even looking at them, sorry, but my time, for two weeks, starting last Wednesday, the 18th, is dedicated to my little girl, I only see her every two years or so, so, when she comes for a visit, my time is hers. Anyway, Thanks for being a great team!

A new Milestone has been reached! The total was actually a bit higher, but I caught it right on 600,000, I believe it got up to 600,090 or something before the last day on the list rolls over to zero, anyway, we did it!

I lost the last pic, when we first broke 500,000, so I was careful not to miss this one! So, I want to thank everybody for surfing, and second, I want you all to know that the “Hit an Run” sign-ups have slowed down almost to zero, that is good news. For those of you that surfed and I mean surfed a lot, you are all wonderful and are the ones that understand team-work and dedication and it is definitely appreciated by everyone that has a site in rotation. If everyone surfed like that it would be something, but, I know that most only have a short amount of time to spend here. We have a Forum and Chat area where we can all get together and talk about whatever, but, it does not appear that anyone ever uses either one, nor does anyone post any comments, although many do at least sign up here on the Blog. If anyone has any ideas on how we can bring this community together, post a comment with your ideas and suggestions. OH yeah, it looks like many of you have not voted on the time limit for deletion of those that are not active, but it would appear that 1 month has gotten the most votes, and 3 months the second most, as of right now, until the end of March, I will leave it at 6 months, I will be sending out a warning email at the beginning of each month, I would hate to remove members that are referring but haven’t signed in. I try to look out for that, but we have a lot of members now, and I need to keep the database clean, so, it must be done. Anyway, thanks again for surfing, Keep Up The Good Work!

So, the hunt is on for a suitable replacement, that has takem a couple of days, but, will also be taken care of tomorrow, well, at least it will be ordered! Have you tried shopping for a laptop lately?

Today, after buying a monitor, to hold me over until my newlaptop gets here, I come home to check out my sites, email and such, and guess what? My host shut down my account! After calling support, I am told that I have a script that went crazy! My first thought was this site, support infomed me that to get my account activated, I had to read through 92 Megabytes of error logs! That sounds worse than it was, luckily they were separated by date, so, after reading through about 6 of them, there it was, a plugin that I use on all of my sites went bad and was locking up!

Anyway, I resolved that issue and they turned everything back on. As it was, I still had like two days of backlog to deal with, I felt like the guy in the picture! I hope it doesn’t happen again, but as of now, everything should be ok!

For those that were here surfing when they shut it down, sorry about that. There is a bright spot, not even a minute, I mean seconds, after they turned it back on, I came here and the traffic was moving! You folks are great! Thanks for sticking with it! Surf on everybody!

NEW Members, Must Surf at the time of Sign Up!" width="284" height="284" title="bomb 2 photo" />Hey, I hate to sound this way, but I have had enough! We are getting about 2-20 new members, every day, yes, this is a good thing, BUT, there are a few here and there, that sign-up and never surf! As you all know, I will not activate any sites that belong to an account that has not surfed the required minimum, and I had been sending one email a week, on Tuesday, alerting New Members that if they did not surf, they would lose their account, but, there will be NO MORE emails of that sort!

I have put it on the Sign-Up and Log In pages, and now this post, NEW MEMBERS MUST SURF 100 PAGES AT THE TIME OF SIGN-UP, OR, AT LEAST, WITHIN 24 HOURS, OR THEY WILL LOSE THEIR ACCOUNTS!

I hate to have to be so strict, but I sometimes feel like a Kindergarten Teacher! I have been surfing for many years, and on every site, every time that I sign up, I surf at least the minimum, I have never signed up just to get the bonus, all I have ever looked for is to be treated fair, and to be able to earn a realistic amount of credits for my time! Yes, on some sites it is almost impossible to keep credits on your account, unless you surf that account for hours and hours, every day,but here, you can.

Depending on how many sites you have, and how much you surf, you can earn thousands of credits, just by watching the surfbar, so cheating is not necessary, and I have to be a bit tougher on the new members.

Let me explain why, when a member signs up and surfs, that member expects to have their sites activated as soon as possible, and rightly so, but when ten sign up and only 6 surf, those members who do not surf, still have sites in my queue, that I have to check, and it is a PAIN to look at the same sites over and over and verify if that account has surfed or not! So, from now on, if a member signs up on the first but hasn’t surfed by the second, I AM GOING TO DELETE THE ACCOUNT!

This is a simple process, sign up, surf 100 pages or more, then, and only then, will your sites be activated! Those that DO NOT, might as well not sign up! Do not waste your time or mine, if you will not surf a minimum of 100 pages and earn 50 credits, to get 3050!
