We are extremely proud to have been nominated In Three categories for this year’s (2011) ICB Luca awards.

We all work extremely hard on Improving our courseware, training methods procedures and support and these nominations have made it all worthwhile. We’re delighted that our students consistently achieve pass rates over 95% and we have TWO of our students up for the “Student of the year award”.

Our tutors provide an extremely fast and efficient service to students. I’m nominating Angela from Training link for tutor of the year award because of dedication and the outstanding support and encouragement she has given me throughout my training. On numerous occasions she provided just the right level of support and guidance and was always willing to support me and spend as much time as necessary to help me grasp concepts I found difficult. Her dedication and willingness to be flexible and work with me in a manner that fitted in with my demands as a mother with young children was a key to my success, her response times to emails was always within hours, even at weekends and late at night enabling me to carry on my studies when it suited me. She was both patient and had an extraordinary ability to know exactly what level of support and assistance I needed at each stage of my training. Angela’s knowledge and grasp of the subjects was excellent, on occasions when I was struggling with aspects of the course she was able to quickly identify and understand my issues and provide assistance and encouragement in a useful and constructive manner such that I never felt overwhelmed or confused. Over the years I have been on a wide variety of training courses and of all the trainers I have had dealings with I have never come across anybody with Angela’s unique combination of skill, aptitude and ability to encourage and motivate.

Angela has been very quick at responding to any email's that I have sent, whether they have been feedbacks for assignments or any questions that I have raised. She has responded on both Saturday and Sunday which though I was first stunned by I was obviously delighted in receiving. I have also received responses on the same day during the week despite having submitted assignments late during the day. For someone who is studying at home around work and with other commitments Angela is allowing me to complete my studies in good time just by her commitment to responding in a quick and professional way. Angela has also been very patient with my mistakes, when I have had to adjust an assignment due to a misunderstanding. She has also been very supportive and positive with feedback and always comes across as completely professional and friendly which in itself is an achievement.

Study Psychology Courses as a career or hobby

Psychology is a very popular subject. As humans we are always curious and want to understand more and more in life. One of the fascinations is human behaviour and why people act in different ways in certain situations. What makes it even more interesting is that none of us are the same. If every human was the same it would be a very boring world as we all understand each others behaviours and what we would likely do in various situations. Even though were apparently out the recession many people are still losing their jobs or having their working hours or pay packets reduced. Either way a lot of people are not earning as much as before and are looking for a change of career or to develop new skills.

This is a big reason why home study courses are becoming so popular. There a lot more affordable and flexible than college/classroom training. Whether it be for career purposes, to look after your own personal accounts or to set up your own bookkeeping business you will need the skills and qualifications offered by ICB. Home study is the most popular method of learning due to its flexibility and it is possible to become fully qualified within 12 months. I recommend doing your homework before you start though because the training providers listed offer all sorts of different packages, some of which look to be very good value for money but when you start adding on the extras like membership fees, mock exam fees, exam fees and even postage and packaging you start to see that it is not such a good deal after all and once you have signed up it is too late. If you go for a company that offers everything included in the price and also a few guarantees along the way you can not go far wrong. You could always phone the ICB and ask them about the company before signing up.

Beginners web design course

For anyone looking to start a career in web design will soon realise how huge the industry is. How many different aspects there are out there and areas that can be studied. The one major question for newbies is where to start, what to learn about etc and this can and has put many peope off learning web design. There are many free tutorials and guides available online which are good. But there are not really full courses.

I would always recomend taking a proper beginners course from a distance learning provider. There are a lot out there and most are very good. They will teach students everything they need to know to get started in web design and will often come wiht the software needed to learn. You will always need a web page editor like front page or Dreamweaver and image editing software like Photoshop..

As i have said before there is a lot to learn and our course will teach you all the essential skills you need to get in to the very popular world of web design.
