Today was definitely memorable from exploring the Ideas City StreetFest at Prince Street of Lower Manhattan. We discovered it while roaming the city, luckily on the last day of the fair. There were so many interesting stands such as bike riding, gardening, calligraphy, shocking food finds, and strange structures. I tried a phenomenal Cheetos flavored macaroon for the first time and it was mind-blowing! More pictures below:

I received this beautiful baroque bodycon dress in the mail sent to me by Society of Chic. I could never get enough baroque and golden opulence print for absolute vintage glamour. To make this ostentatious dress more street style, I added some sheer leggings and tough lookin' boots. I noticed that I look really stiff in some of my blog pictures, so don't mind my weird poses ;D

Here are some DIY shorts I made for the Levi's competition on Lookbook. I butchered my straight leg 501 Levi's into high waisted shorts and threw it in the washer for the fringe to wear out. For the finishing touch, I added a wolf and eyeball patch. Now these wasted jeans are ready to be styled with a loose tee and plaid shirt. =) Check out my lookbook here.

Outside is a living snow globe so Judy and I took a walk around Central Park to see little kids sleighing down the hills of snow and ducks swishing around in the lake. It's a great escape from the loud traffic and congestion the city has to offer. As we passed by the lake, I was reminded of the depressing novel, "Catcher in the Rye", where Holden asks, "Where do the ducks go when the pond turns into ice?"

A few days ago, in the middle of media class, I looked down at my hair and thought, 'Dang, is it always this dead?' My split ends were severed like sycamore branches. My sister always referred to it as my "nappy-ass weave", but I've been in denial until today. After years of harsh bleaching and blow drying, my hair have reached its limit. I don't usually read during my work a the circulation desk, but his writings are beautiful and his messages are appalling. My first book by him is 'Welcome to the Monkey House' which is a collection of his short stories. His writing is original and brilliant so you should definitely check him out!!
