CATCHY HARDCORE VOCAL TRANCE!!
The first song by NOEMI that caught my attention was "in my dreams" her voice caught my attention really quick. Trance songs mosty grow on me, I don't all of a sudden just love any trance song af first, it takes time for me to really like it! But with NOEMI, its a whole different story, I fell in love with "in my dreams" the first time I heard it! After hearing "in my dreams" I thought to myself, I want more NOEMI!! Then I ended up doubting that NOEMI would have any other good songs, I thought "in my dreams" was probally the only good song by NOEMI and the rest of NOEMI songs might be good, but not as good as "in my dreams"! I WAS SO WRONG!! "y.o.u" is such an awesome song, NOEMI won my heart again! I put "y.o.u." way up there with "in my dreams" with no doubt about it whatsoever! If you love vocal trance, you must own NOEMI, buy all Noemi singles you can get your hands on, you'll be happy I promise!!

Nice trance number
Nice song. If you're a trance fan, this is definitely one to have in the collection. Sadly, it doesn't appear she will have a full album--at least not under the name "Noemi". She is no longer with her former producers, Manfred Holter and Torsten Kipka. However, those producers have been working hard on other projects, so fans of the producers' style of trance will want to also look for their up-and-coming projects. One of these I've heard is "The Larx", also released under the pseudonym "Ceoma, feat. The Larx". Spotlighted as the vocalist in their new material is an awesome young lady named Lara Gentile. So, if you have all of Noemi's stuff and want more, check out www.thelarx.com or www.laragentile.com. Hope this helps all you Noemi fans continue your quest for great trance from the same guys.

Superb.. no other word can describe it.

Mario Lopez (real name Thomas Schatz) is a German trance producer, with many albums and singles to his name. Feel So Good is one of my favorites of his. As with all of Lopez's works, the Original Mario Lopez Mix is good, featuring great Carnivále-like drums. The winner comes from the Club Remix - William Hawk vs. Mario Lopez, though. This version holds the most appeal. The vocalist sounds good, and the synths are bright and melodic. Pure ear candy, man, especially the synths after the second break.

TEN! Awesome Remixes!
Ian Van Dahl does probably not appeal to real trance/hard house fans. Their work is very "pop" but as a tune to listen to it is very nice. If you are a fan of Vocal House/Trance I think you will like this track. This is top 10 material, and the ten remixes should keep the real clubbers happy! After "Castles In the Sky" was released, everybody was looking forward to a follow up for this smash hit. They didn't dissappoint! This new track has a lot of potential and can certainly compete with the previous song. The lyrics are maybe not so strong, but the music is terrific.If you wanna hear some awesome synth effects & beats, and great buildups/breakdowns, go ahead and check this maxi-single out.

This is the best album for Miss Jackson, I give it a 5-stars since 1989.
One of the few albums that every tracks are FABULOUS.
There are some messages that Miss Jackson wanted to get through to her fans and listeners.
I have been Miss Jackson's fun since CONTROL.

I'm big fan of trance/dance music. I love a great trance melody with meaningful lyrics. This song has both!! I love this song and like to listen to it over and over. All the remixes are great and enjoyable to listen to also. A pleasant surprise I wasn't ready for, was a great high quality 100MB music video that came on the CD. This one should have it too because mine had the same cover. Anyone who likes great upbeat melody with great lyrics like Ian Van Dahl, Sylver, Lasgo, Milk Inc, DJ Sammy, Jessy, Kate Ryan, 4 Strings, etc. should definately check this out especially at the price. This is such a cool song. This song has it all. Good beat, the ability to dance to it, and I think that everyone who listens to this song can relate to the words in some way as well as benefit from them as well. the vocalist AKA Moony in my opinion when it comes to her style I just hope she puts out more music so that more people can recognize her talents. Great song and good cd.

Beam vs. Cyrus' All Over The World is the type of anthemic trancer that clubs love. It packs a big-room sound that delivers energy into every corner. This single contains a lot of hardtrance/hardstyle mixes. That doesn't mean they're not melodic though. My favorite version is the Midnight Mix (7:22), specifically because it's hard and melodic at the same time. It steadily develops before going straight into the lead melody, whereupon I yell "F*** yea!" The lead is similar to ATB's old melodies, except much harder. Very addictive and catchy.

PASS THE TEQUILA! AND LISTEN TO THE BRASS! ONE OF MY FAVORITES
I am repeating this story you are about to read as it gives an explanation of why I love this music so much! "The Beat of the Brass" has many of the songs on it used on the ride you are about to read about. It is one of my favorite Herb albums for that reason. That being said....Please read on.....I have fond memories of the music of Herb Alpert! I was introduced to him at an early age as my parents were fans of his records. I didn't hear much of him again until I was coming of age in Wildwood N.J. at the age of 15 when I used to party under the boardwalk with my friends and our girlfriends underneath Hunt's Pier's "El Scrambler" ride. The ride played Herb Alpert tunes non stop! I guess you could say I became a "Man" underneath that pier with my first love listening to the Tijuana Brass. Later in life in my 30's I was taking a break from playing in a band in the local bars,I became a DJ and I would mix Herb Alpert in my mixes and buy shots of Tequila for my fans! To this day when I play these songs at parties we all look for the Tequila bottle! This is a one of a kind sound and if I were stranded on a desert island with only a few albums, Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass would be included in that collection! This is one of his best albums and the last great album in my opinion. I no longer own the original records so, I can not say if the new cd's are true to the originals. They sound fantastic to my ear!

Orinoko "Island" Album Review

drifting high..on an island faraway..
Orinoko's Island is a true classic. Featuring the vocals of Xan, its appeal is through the roof. Of note, the Thrillseekers Remix (7:47) has an Ibiza touch. The Balaeric synths are relaxing, but the lead synth's also aggressive so it'd work well in a club. In an opposite move, the Astro Heavenly Remix (6:49) is a calm, Ambient track. In keeping with the title of Orinoko's release, it brings to mind images of beautiful islands. Xan sounds great in this mix. Her light and floaty voice is placed over a strong bassline. Seems like its coming from a million miles away.

"Wonder" why it's not for everyone? This connecting flow of stylistically diverse tracks by different hip-hop artists that sound like an hour long song - could prove as a double-edged sword. Naid "Waking Up" Album Review

"Waking" still sleepy
Swedish electronica band Nåid is Martin Landqvist, a musician/producer best known for working with the Cardigans. But he produces a strangely lackluster US debut (and second album) in "Waking Up," losing a lot of the texture and edge that his self-titled album had. "Waking Up" needs to wake up.

It starts off with ethereal female vocals and a steady beat in the title track, which would have been fun if it were a minute and a half long. At five minutes, it becomes tiresome and repetitive. Then the album blossoms out a bit into the distorted, dark "Stars" and cold "Turn On (City Lights)." Nåid hits his groove with the vivid "Eternal Life," which sounds like a sparkling cry from the heart.

But things start to dip back down with the dull "Shout It Out" and the too-slow slices of techno in "Icba" and "Better Day." There's another upturn with the swelling trip-hop ballad "This Could Be Our First Day," complete with electronic swooshes that sound almost like bird cries. But then Nåid loses his footing again with the final two tracks, which are generic and forgettable.

If you have a winning sound, stick to what made it good. Experimentation is a good thing, but Nåid dumped most of what made his debut such a good listen -- gone are the tribal instruments and timeless sound. Instead, it's a collection of generic dance music, with a couple of standout tracks.

In the technical sense, the biggest problem with Nåid's music is that it's too repetitive. Only a few rise above the basic repeating rhythm, and songs like the sentimental-sounding "Better Day" don't even have the danceability to make up for their repetitiveness. They're rendered almost unlistenable because they aren't mellow enough to be trip-hop, but they're too slow to be raw electronica.

Nåid has a good command of electronic sounds, and his guitar work is solid. But the newer sound saps away the heart of the music, leaving it feeling bland, ordinary and generic. Sure, he has plenty of talent -- in songs like the chilly, heartwrenching "This Could Be Our First Day," it's hard not to feel a thrill.

"Waking Up" is more like going to sleep. Nåid dumbs down his sound for his US debut, but it makes the music boring rather than universally appealing. Nice try, but try putting some flavor back into this bland tangle.

This is hands down one of the best trance songz of all time.Its got all the necessary elements;good structure,very melodic synths,and best of all,my favorite female vocals in any trance song.I dont know her name,but she has a very beatiful voice in my opinion.Simon Kempler & Simon Paul couldnt have made a better choice.When the main synth riff kicks in its simply awesome.I love how it fades in and slowly grows in volume.This is a MUST HAVE for any trance lovers colection.You shouldnt be without it.

This takes my breath awayý
This is the second collaboration between GreenCourt and De/Vision, and it's not a cover of the Berlin classic before you ask. De/Vision have taken some stick from the departure from their synth style on their album Void. I'd like to think these collaborations have had some effect on them coming back to a more synth-oriented style for their next and imminent album. I've heard this described as trance, but it's still good synth dance music. Although the title track is essentially an up-tempo track, the vocals are lazy and laid-back (I mean this in a good way) so that there is a nice contrast between music and vocalist. When Steffen sings the first line of the chorus "Take my breath away...", you know he is waiting expectantly for this very thing to happen to him. I hope the person he was singing this to didn't disappoint him.The second track on this single Inside Your Gates is a pretty good dance track. No vocals this time, just a drum machine, some synths and a couple of samples. Reminds me of Alice Dee-Jay and ATB, that type of style. Not bad, but not a patch on the title track.

This is so far one of the best singles by Dumonde(Dj Jam X and De Leon) I have heard so far through out my time of interest in Hard Trance and all kinds of Techno. I urge everyone to buy this cd for it's hard trance beats and strength through out all the tracks. Some of the best tracks are the (Lange Mix) and the (Dj Jam X and De Leon Mix) also other tracks as the (Megara vs. Dj Lee Mix) are the best. I highly recommend buying this well done single. And if u are still interested in other hard trance songs such as this check out the song by Dj Zephyr "Spirit of Ibiza" one of the best examples of Epic Trance I have ever heard. Overall I highly recommend buying this single.

Heaven~ DJ Sammy is a so much better version then that of the orginal made by Brian Adams. I love the vocal skills of the chick that sings this track and the samples and keyboard sounds are great. In fact, one could make the arguement that this track is much better as a dance track then as a cheesy and tacky ballad. This a must have for the dance floor at clubs or private parties. Very much recommended.

CJ Stone is what I call a hit-or-miss artist. Sometimes I find his remixes cheesy, but then if I listen to his original songs, it's as if the styles are nothing alike. For example, Into The Sea sounds like something I'd hear from Voodoo & Serano -- acid trance fans should like this single. In particular, CJ Stone's Moonrise Mix is my favorite version. The heavy breaks and melodic synths have a pensive feel. I only wish Stone's other songs could follow in the same vein!

Beautiful trance track
I fell in love with ATB's Let U Go the first time I heard it in a dance club in Germany. I still can't get enough of it. The Clubb Mix is fenomenal, always makes me imagine it being played in a club where everybody just loves it for its special rhythm, beautiful vocals and trance melody. The Airplay Mix is nice, short version, but it lacks the athmosphere of the Clubb mix. I personally don't fancy the other mixes that much, although interesting. Summer is a nice addition to it.

Can anyone do better Trance Music than RMB?
Well.....at least you can say it's trance. RMB have their own style, maybe somewhat Tech-House-Trance. Deep Down Below is the comebacksingle of the German Trance Producers Rolf Maier Bode and Farid Gharadjedaghi. It was a huge hit in german clubs and reached #23 in the german top 100. It contains some very different remixes in more Tech-House, House, Ambient and Trance. If you like Trance Music from Germany, you should get this one and look out for the Album of RMB, Mission Horizon.

SM-Trax, responsible for many a House tune that I'm not keen on (only because it doesn't fit my tastes), has been revamped here with the Mario Lopez vs. Lightforce Remix. As the title of the release says, this is the remix that would fit right in At The Club. It's bouncy and fun, and the lead synth that's used is very catchy. It's as if it takes on a life of its own. The limited vocals also serve their place well in the mix, adding a feeling of nostalgia. When it's placed over the delicate piano, the feeling's especially strong.

Gouryella "Ligaya" Album Review

One of the greatest trance anthems... ever
I think this is one of the greatest trance songs ever... I much prefer it to the old standards like "Cafe del Mar" by Energy 52 and "Xpander" by Sasha, because it's much more expressive and uplifting. The lyrics are wonderful and inspiring, and the harmonies and musical textures are delicious. I also love the instrumental version. I don't care much for the remixes -- I like the original version the best.

This album is the most boring album I have ever bought. The artists of this group should no better than to make their songs around 10 minutes when the song consists entirely of 1 measure being repeated an ungodly amount of times. I truly think I and almost everyone else could make better music if we only had the tools and the time. What defines this album --- Boredom.

This single's been re-released many times, and it's the Australian edition of Overload where I found my favorite version.

The Original Vocal Mix is great. Judging by the similar length, I guess it's the Club Mix on this U.S. single. This mix demonstrates Voodoo & Serano's ability at producing excellent hardtrance with a hint of commercial trance, due to the vocal. In this mix, the lyrics and vocal serve as a fuse. "I'm getting ready to explode. Spark out the fire. Light up the fuse, I'm letting go." When the music slows down, and a piano and vocal enter, you don't know what to expect next. As an acid synth gradually builds, it envelops you. Very catchy.
