Just by reading the synopsis, I knew it was going to be more like The Pursuit of Happyness than any of Will Smith’s other films. My family isn’t into drama so I didn’t get to finish it but I thought it had a nice plot. Will Smith’s character, Tim Thomas, was a bit on the extremist side of helping others, trying to atone for his past mistake. I’m not sure the fact that I’m Catholic really has much to do with the way I feel about his quest for atonement… Tell me, does the fact that he helped seven people justify suicide?

I’m always up for a good action movie but I’ve never liked Steven Seagal. I know I’ve watched his old movies — talk about bad acting. It doesn’t even look like Seagal knows how to hold a gun. And I can never understand what he’s saying!

Classic cop scene slash clean up squad. They came right when everything was all over. Yay!

“Spring” Cleaning

We don’t have Spring here but it’s already Summer and that’s when we usually clean the whole house from top to bottom.

My mom and I (and my uncle) have cleaned out most of the closets. I’ve posted stuff on eBay and given away or thrown out the rest. I’ve also rearranged the furniture in my room and I didn’t need to take out my loveseat after all. I even have room for my oriental rug again as well as a small coffee table…though I do keep bumping into it. I’ll probably take it out of my room if I get another bruise. LOL.

Yes, I’m bored.

Well, back to work! I still have a few more posts to finish.

Free Online Games

I have a lot more free time than I want to admit these days. I finish my (paid) tasks in just a few hours and I can only read so many books before I get bored because of monotony and mundanities of everyday life. When I don’t have anything else to do and my dad doesn’t have any more tasks for me for the day, I end up just doodling OR playing online games. I’ve been playing Restaurant City on Facebook. It’s from the makers of Pet Society which I never really got into. It’s very addicting. It reminds me of Diner Dash and its spin-offs.

The two biggest game genres right now are fighting games and sports games among gamers. Gaming sales are down for consoles however people are playing online games now more than ever because they’re free.

Summer Showers

My air conditioner is still broken and I think it may no longer be fixable. My dad says he’ll buy me a new one but I won’t believe it ’til I see it. I have 2 fans on full speed almost 24/7 but they don’t really help. It’s been raining these past few days and it makes the heat bearable. Plus I love waking up to the sound and smell of rain. ^_^ Everything feels and smells clean. If Jim were here, I would love to cuddle in bed all day.

The thought of going under the knife for any reason scares me to death but I know some people who would be willing to undergo surgery if it meant that it would make their lives better. The closest I’ve ever had to a surgery was LASIK in 2007. I guess if it was a matter of life and death, I would be willing to have an operation but I seriously doubt I would ever opt to be cut open if there was an alternative.

I miss my friends

I got to see 3 of my college friends yesterday. We had lunch and walked around a new mall. It was really great to see them again. Jen and I talk on YM almost everyday but it’s so much better seeing each other face to face. And it was great to see that Icy and Lou haven’t changed — still going strong, still happy. And they’ve been together since high school! Now Icy’s in med school and Lou’s studying for the engineering board exams. I’m so happy for them! ^_^

I can’t wait to see them again!

Summer is here

The heat is really getting to me. I’ve been in the worst moods lately. I’m sad, lonely and frustrated. I can’t imagine a worse combination. At least things are picking up. I’m hoping I’ll have more stuff to do. I need to keep myself busy. These horrible scenarios keep playing in my head… *sigh.

I wish I could find some reassurance that things are going to be okay…
