The BVI Food Fete is a month-long celebration of culinary flavor spread across a variety of unique island locations along the beautiful shores of the British Virgin Islands including Tortola, Jost Van Dyke, Virgin Gorda, Anegada, and Cooper Island.

2nd Annual Pure Grenada Dive Fest

October 3 - 6, 2018

The island of Grenada, home of the world’s first Underwater Sculpture Park and the Caribbean’s largest wreck dive, the Bianca C, will host an amazing undersea world party with the second annual Pure Grenada Dive Fest.

The four-day event is hosted by the Grenada Scuba Diving Association (GSDA) and during the event dive shops in Grenada and Carriacou will put on a number of activities for divers of all skill levels - beginner, an expert or intermediate level diver, .

Grenada’s coast is a haven for seahorses, turtles, sharks and rays due to the warm waters and healthy coral reef systems and sponges. Divers and underwater photographers have the opportunity to see a plethora of species of fish and marine creatures in the islands’ waters.

Carriacou Corn Festival
October 28, 2018

Corn is indigenous to Carriacou, and this family-friendly festival explores a variety of ways to prepare it including corn soup, cornbread, roasted corn and lots more.

The location is Footprint Behind Sands, and activities include Quadrille dance performances, string & steel band music, domino competitions, and lots of fun activities for children.

If you are not familiar with Carriacou it is a part of the (3) island nation of Grenada and includes Petite Martinique along with a number of other tiny cays and islets.

Geographically the Grenadines consist of islands to the north that are part of St Vincent & the Grenadines, however, these particular Grenadine islands and cays are part of Grenada, and are known as Grenada's Grenadines. Carriacou and Petite Martinique are very popular with day trips when visiting the island of Grenada.

Saxophonist Elan Trotman, executive producer and host of the Barbados Jazz Excursion, is a native of Barbados. He is well known as a composer, performer, teacher and recording artist.

Unique Hideaway on Edge of the Caribbean Sea

The population is less than 1,000, and the spoken languages are English, Creole, Spanish, Garifuna and Miskito - the local indigenous people.
