When I was in Philippines all of my cellphones are Nokia made. I don't know why I am hooked into this company but I just find their gadgets a friendly user type. Right now I am eyeing on Nokia N810 Internet Tablet. I think I'll get what I want and need from this. Since I am still a new driver the GPS would help, I am a blogger the internet with the wide screen it has compared to my hubands Apple iphone would work for me, I can't live without the internet! it has the music and video features too. You can also chat with your online friends anywhere. This is the gadget I want among the PDAs now adays. The features would work perfect for me. One on my wish list is probably I wish to have it all before the end of this year.

My Dream Bedroom

My husband and I are looking for some idea on how we can change our bed room. We are still working on our kitchen though and probably it will be done soon. I am thinking this will be a good shade combination though because the wall on our living room is lighter shade than the above picture. We are looking for discount furniture that will suit our budget and at the same time the way we want it to be. Perfect on our taste, only that our floor won't be wood but carpeted. Right now we have the medium dresser and the side stand that looks the same as the above pic but we can repaint it anyway. I'll try to keep this one for reference later.

Last Snow?

On Thursday February 26th, it snowed again here in Salem. We didn't expect it because there were no warning from my husbands Apple iphone(lol). I don't know if we missed the news but we don't watch TV is why. Usually I check the weather on Yahoo though but there were no signs either. Anyway, I thought there will be no class on that day but when I called my son's school everything is operational so we headed on the school bus stop to wait. I remember when last December we had a severe snow and all classes were cancelled because there were lots of car on the road that were stocked. At the end of the day here comes my son telling me that the school bus hit a car because it skid on the curve.

Palawan in Philippines is not that popular unlike Boracay its known internationally. Palawan is full of undiscovered scenic views which still holds the untouched nature. The place has its own white beach, snorkeling site, coral reef, big lagoon and historical nature. It can be reach by air or sea from Manila. By air takes 55 minutes and ferries takes 24 hours to get there. The famous beach which is El Nido which is quite a bit pricey but its worth it.

Spending 500 bucks for 3 days and 2 nights for locals is something they won't chose, but for a foreigner willing to see the beauty of nature would be worth it. I remember this place was declared as the cleanest city in Philippines and I'm not sure for now if they still hold the title. If the place is clean it just means that the people are disciplined and just few population leaving there. House and lot are also cheap as what I've heard when I was in Batangas.

We've been really smart on buying things that we need since the economy started to get bad. My husband always tell me over and over to save and save as much as possible. Last time we're talking about taxes and I found out that the stimulus check that the government sent to us last year is included in our income last year now we need to pay taxes out of it? What the heck, I thought they want to help people but I think this is all BS and they just wanted to squiz the people so they can control us. Well anyway just ranting about this things happening right now. So in order to save when we need something I always look up online to check on sale. I usually keep hopping until I find the best deal. During the Snow Storm

December of 2008, we had snow storm here in Oregon. Classes were canceled for almost 2 weeks I guess, some store were closed, no work for how many days because of the thick snow. The picture above is the way to go to the busy road from our house. Below is a picture taken by my husband going to their parents.

The snow was good for a couple of days, we enjoyed it much but after it was awful............nice experienced though, my son played a lot during that time.

When I was in Philippines, food franchising is making money in the market, maybe its because Filipinos love to eat out. Its a totally different when I got here, auto parts franchises is most likely I can see from their ads. Auto business also is almost in every corner here, like every 2 to 3 blocks you can see wash car services, auto sales and parts and everything about cars. We'll I don't wonder why its because its one of the basic needs. Besides people has some mechanical problems everyday, customers are in and out. I think on this business you don't need to worry about bankruptcy because its people needs the most.

It's been a while this blog is on idle mood, first its because I didn't find time to sit in the computer and then try my luck to go for a training in health care job. Its just my step to get the job I wanted. Hopefully it will turn out ok and be hired soon. Weekends are my days off but I was helping my husband to do some work around the house and after read some few chapters of our book for exam on my training class. For 2 months and a half my schedule is pretty much busy.....hope I can start blogging again lol.....

Now a days that the economy is worse, recession all around the corner, sometimes I am thinking of a home based business to indulge in. It would help a lot aside from my part time job. Since the economy started to get worse my husband and I were cutting down our expenses because of the fear that what if one of us gets laid off from work. At least if it happens we have something to rely on while looking for a new job. This whole thing is just a matter of who is in control. They do it because they want it for their own good alone. Doesn't consider the people around the world who dies of hunger because their controlling food for their people. Sad but true, we are under control of evil.

A Tragic Love Story

On Wednesday a shocking headline caught my attention. Leafil Alforque just arrived here in Oregon 3 days ago to settle with her fiance Scott Napper from Silverton. They went to stroll around Neskowin Beach planning that Scott want to ask her if she can marry him. Not knowing they climb up in a huge rock where he thought would be a perfect place for him to ask her, they were shocked that huge waves swept his lady and vanish from his sight without help that he can do that time. According to him his cellular phone wasn't working that time because it was wet and it took some time for him to ask help from the authorities. Their planned wedding day should be on the 6th of December but was just a dream for Scott now. Her family from Philippines are in total deppression right now and her mom wish they can take her remains back home in Philippines.
This maybe a destiny for her but sometimes we say that God is unfair in times of tragedy. But at the end we can still stand firm and say that some things happen for a reason, maybe good or bad but usually someone has to sacrifice to make things better. To her family in Philippines, my condolences and to Scott, be strong, it takes time, only God can answer why things happen unexpectedly to the one we love. I wish you can find more peace eventually. I'm impress how Americans decorate their home. They are more open to any style as long as they like it. Sometimes there's a mix of Asian and Southern American ways. Like Moroccan furniture which entails more on their creativity and ethnicity wise. Been hearing about their house decor aside of having a unique designs it adds more color in your home. Maybe because of its mix colors which gives a little twist. There are lots of sites which you can choose from. But one has the widest selection of Moroccan furniture I've seen so far. They carry everything, from the simple wall decor until the huge things you can set in your living room. They have huge sale everyday which I think its a good deal. Maintain my weight

I've been eating a lot of rice lately and for some reason I usually gain weight when its on my table every meal. Well it's also because I've been cooking Filipino dish which I'm craving for. I was looking for appetite suppressant that can help me to lose weight or at least maintain my weight right now. The thing is I love to cook and can't help but get carried away when I see my family enjoying the food. I came across this site and read some good reviews about it. I think I'm gonna order one because my appetite really boosted up recently. Sometimes I buy fruits which replace my whole meal and this one works really well for me. But I want some other food also to taste everyday. I hope this one would help me because I don't wanna gain weight!

Still Up in Bed

A little boy came down for breakfast one morning and asked his grandma, "Where's Mom and dad?" and she replied, "they're up in bed."

The little boy started to giggle and ate his breakfast and went out to play. Then he came back in for lunch and asked his grandma "where's Mom and Dad?" and she replied "they're still up in bed."

Again the little boy started to giggle and he ate his lunch and went out to play. Then the little boy came in for dinner and once again he asked his grandma "where's Mom and dad?" and his grandmother replied "they're still up in bed."

The little boy started to laugh and his grandmother asked, "what gives? Every time I tell you they're still up in bed you start to laugh! what is going on here?" The little boy replied, "well last night daddy came into my bedroom and asked me for the Vaseline and I gave him super glue."

My friend and I were talking about job the other day and she's from Vegas. She didn't know about this site that I came across with long time ago when I was still searching for a job. I shared it to her and the other day she got a call from a company. Jobs in Las Vegas are all around the corner. I think its because its the center of entertainment and everything so companies are looking for workers everyday. I told her lucky you because you're from there, not here in Oregon you its kinda hard to find a job now a days especially when the economy started to get bad. Unless when you're experienced working in health care jobs most likely you'll get one. This site is quite good and it will show you how much available jos without clicking anything further. Black Friday here in US was really not a good day for me. First I look up onto the prices it wasn't really a good deal what the stores were offering. I mean technically it was a good deal BUT to go line up waiting for a store to open early in the morning like as early as 3AM with the bunch of shoppers waiting is not a good thing to me. I read on the news that there are people who were accidentally hit by shoppers in Walmart. I forgot what state was that, this thing to me is ridiculous. Well its because there's always sale all year round in every store and its where people should look out on sale. I work on a store so I know the price differences, for me its not worth it to go with crowds and your kids will be endanger. I appreciate those smart shoppers and I'm one of them lol, I always look on sale in every store online, gather some manufacture coupons and store coupons and its thesame as getting those sale on Black Friday.

Nothing much about today, I have work so I can't go with my husband and son to celebrate at Aunt Susie's house. Last year the host are my husband grandparents on his mom side. So today they are going to celebrate it at Aunt Sue's house, sister of my mother in law. We usually celebrate holidays at my mother in laws side. My father in laws mom is in the retirement residence and she just turned 90 this month and his dad joined the Lord long time ago. My husband told me not to work but I was thinking about the pay. Any who I'll stop working when they'll call me for my training at the other company. Yay, I miss blogging too much but I can't make it when the day is short and there isn't enough time to do house work. Anyway Happy thanksgiving to all.... this is just my short piece today.
