If you are looking for a place where you and your family can relax, Bandhavgarh is an ideal place. Bandhavgarh is known for the Royal Bengal Tigers, cheetals, leopard, gaur, sambhar, and many more faunal species. Bandhavgarh is densely populated with white tigers, the highest in India. Enthusiastic naturalists unravel the mysteries of nature, while driving past the park. This is the home to 22 species of wildlife, including the regal 'gaur', umpteen varieties of deer, and carnivores such as the striped hyena, jungle cat and sloth bear and over 250 species of birds. The place is an excellent spot to watch both the predator and the prey. The reptilian species include cobras, kraits, vipers and pythons.The park is largely covered with moist deciduous forest. The terrain is broken, with rocky hill ranges, running roughly east west, interspersed with grassy swamps and forested valleys.

Those who love elephants most, Periyar is the ideal place to see your favorite animal. You can see it’s swinging its trunks, in its natural habitat. Kanha National Park is the largest wildlife sanctuary in Asia The place is well known for tiger reserves worldwide. It is located among the Banjar and Halon valleys in the Mandla / Balaghat districts of the state of Madhya Pradesh. It is believed that this park formed the basis and gave the inspiration to Rudyard Kipling for his famous Jungle Book. The park is the abode to the uncrowned king of the Kanha jungle:

The Royal Bengal Tiger.Some of the views in the park are the gaur, the world's largest cattle; the sambar, the largest Indian deer; and the chausingha, the only four-horned antelope in the world. You will also see there the Nilgai antelope, the sloth bear, the dhole, or Indian wild dog, and an occasional panther. Other wildlife attractions in the park are chital (spotted deer), chousingha, nilgai, the majestic gaur (Indian bison) and wild pig, is 'tiger country'. It is ideal for viewing both the predator and the prey.

The park comprises of varied bird species in abundance. There are other species of birds live in the park. You can watched there the egrets, flycatchers, jungle fowl, herons, kingfishers, partridges, teals, warblers, woodpeckers and quail. The Park makes an excellent spot for wildlife viewing and photography.

Corbett National Park

Corbett National park is a world renowned and is known as the 'Land of the trumpet, roar and song'. The kaleidoscope of flora and fauna here makes this an ideal destination for an enthusiastic naturalist. Nestling in the foothills of the Himalayas. The park is named after the famed hunter-author-photographer-naturalist, Jim Corbett.

You can see tigers which are one of the prime attractions for the tourists. If you are fond of viewing magnificent blend of green flora this is the right place you can go. It includes a diverse variety of trees, shrubs, bamboos and grasses. You can find a wildlife thee that comprises of 50 mammals, 580 kinds of birds and 25 reptile species. The kids will have fun watching the animals like elephants, Himalayan black bear in the higher elevations, sloth bear, varieties of lesser known cats, dhole -the wild dog. If you happen to be passing by the lake then one can spot crocodiles, gharials, tortoises and pythons.

In Chitrakoot Falls the religious Hindu Village is known for the various temples and pilgrimage place. This place is also linked to Legendary Lord of Hindus – Rama. Various Hindu festivals like Makar Sankranti, Ramnaamvi and Somvati Amavasya are celebrated here with pomp and show. You can easily find the Mara caves. It is situated in Singhrauli tehsil of Sidhi district. These caves are often compared with the beauty of Ajanta and Ellora Caves. Within the surroundings you can see Sohagpur. Sohagpur has a beautiful Shiva Temple. The temples here bear a close resemblance to the Khajuraho Temple.

Various Trekking Camps are held from Mussoorie to Kempty Falls covering a trek of 13 kms. You will feel the goodness of Camels Back Road. This road got its name because of the mountain outcrop around the road which makes the shape of a Camel Hump. This Hump is also known for the Mussorie Public School. The School is one of the best Boarding Schools of India.

Suruli Falls

While enjoying your time to Suruli Falls you can find there the Kailasanathar Cave Temple. This temple is situated 800 meters above the fall and has a spring. This spring is supposed to have curative powers. It is thought if one stands inside the spring, the waters of the spring cures most of the diseases. There are 18 Rock Cut Architecture Caves around the temple which are worth seeing. Narasimha Parvata is also there. It is the tallest peak in the surroundings with a depth of 3780 feet. The trekking to Narasimha Parvata begins from Mallandhur Village. The route to Narashimha Parvata is not very dense but has several trees which are as high as 40 to 50 high. It takes approx. three hours to reach the Parvata or Hill. The sight from the Hills is panaromic. You will like the view in Meghamalai. This is the place for Coffee Plantations or rather one of the best places around to see and be in Coffee Plantations. If you are in South India then you are bound to see Coffee Plantations and this is the nearest place around.

Barkana Falls

In Barkana Falls you can go around in many places there like Kudlu Teertha Falls. It is the beautiful falls, falling 126 feet deep. The water of the falls drop the top to bottom in one big leap. It takes only 4 kms for you to walk from the grounds to reach the falls. This fall has a religious aspect too from the villages point of view. You can locate there also the Narasimha Parvata. This is the tallest peak in the surroundings with a depth of 3780 feet. The trekking to Narasimha Parvata begins from Mallandhur Village . The route to Narashimha Parvata is not very dense but has several trees which are as high as 40 to 50 high. It takes approx. three hours to reach the Parvata or Hill. Palaruvi Falls

When you visit th Palaruvi Falls you will enjoy your stay in Ashtamudi Backwaters. A sunset cruise of 3 hours, a 4 hrs cruise which maps in Munore Island, tributary canals, a 12 hour ride in one of the Kettuvulumns (House Boats), are some of the attractions of Asthamudi Backwaters. Alumkadavu is the place where Kettuvulumns or the House boats of Kerala are made. The process of making of these Kettuvulumns is interesting to see as the mix of cashew and fish oil is applied to the coating of the walls of the boats. It takes 7-8 months to complete a boat. You can find also ther the Thenmala. It is located 73kms east of Kollam town, it houses the Senduruney Wildlife Sanctuary . In the Thenmala Forest rubber and tea plantation is done.

Vazhachal Falls

Vazhachal Falls is one of the most beautiful falls around Thrissur, It has a great picnic spot. You will enjoy a lot of your staying there. Some of the things you can see there is the Athirappilly. It is 3 kms from Vazhachal Falls. The Athriappilly Falls are one of the major attractions around. The lush green surroundings add to the beauty of the falls whose falling voice can be heard kilometers away in the rainy season of July to August. Another one is the Anakkayam. Also known as Elephant Pit, this dense Forest is untouched by Human Endevours. Children are not allowed to go inside the Forest. Also there is Water Theme Parks. For those with Kids along, there are two small but full fledged water theme parks around the Falls. There is also Malakapara Tea Gardens. You can go to this place and you will enjoy and the ride in the family Jeep Safari ( kids above 14 years). The Safari takes you through the green forest and high ranges of Western ghats along the curved routes to reach the mainstream Tea Gardens of Malakapara. Abbey Falls

This largest Elephant Capturing and training Camp of the Forest Department at the edge of the Dubare Forest, on the bank of the River Kaveri is a place to see. They captured the Elephants and kept in wooden cages for six months. The Tribe Kurbas helped to captured it. The elephants were used to attend to odd jobs like lifting heavy logs. But first they trained them. In the evening they are treated with a special treat of Ladoos made of Ragi and Jaggery – size of Cannon Balls ! Some of the tourists are given ride in the evenings.

While in Irrupu Falls, you can locate that in South of Brahamgiri Range of Hills, river Lakshmana Tirtha Flows. This river made by the Laxmanas Bow falls into a Cataract known as Irruppu Falls. They said that this place is holy. They cleanse the sins on anyone who prayed wishfully. Near the Irruppu Falls is a temple dedicated to Lord Rama who passed this place while looking for his beloved wife Sita along with younger brother Laxman. So, Irruppu falls is both a beautiful place and a religious place.
