Lake Tashmoo at Sunset

Lake Tashmooo is one of my favorite places on Martha’s Vineyard. It is a great place to bring a picnic dinner and watch the sunset – which is exactly what I did when I took this picture in early September of 2019. This is the channel from Lake Tashmoo opening out onto Vineyard Sound. A great place to watch the sunset as boats come in and out of the Lake.

The picture was taken from Tisbury Town Beach on Lake Tashmoo.

Wings of Freedom Tour

The Collings Foundation’s Wings of Freedom Tour makes its way through New England every late summer/early fall. I caught it last weekend at the Worcester Airport and here are a few pictures…

2019 Update: Sadly the B-17 pictured above crashed at Bradley International Airport in October of 2019. Five of ten passengers and the two pilots lost their lives in the crash preliminarily attributed to engine problems in one or more of the planes four engines.
