Wendy Brinker, owner of Time2Sweat, is a certified fitness trainer and has been a group instructor and bodybuilding competitor for 31 years. Her goal is to assist in building confidence, character and enthusiasm for fitness in everyday life. Time2Sweat offers a full range of services from group to personal sessions, including personal shopping for nutritious food options.

Travel To Go offers complimentary workout sessions to their employees and their families two times per week. Each Tuesday, workouts are held at the Travel To Go office. Employees use steps for aerobic activity and lift weights to burn fat and increase lean muscle. On Saturdays, participants meet at Mission Bay and participate in a “Beach Body” workout consisting of football and basketball activities designed to increase the heart rate and burn fat.

According to Tina Baxter, Travel To Go Accounting Assistant, “It feels great to be involved in something that is positive and healthy.” She notes that she is mentally sharper and has more energy. She also adds that “I am thankful to be able to work for a company that cares enough about employee health to provide this benefit.” Avy Armas, a four -year employee of the Member Assistance Department says “ I have never been physically fit and never thought I could be. After participating in the company fitness programs, I have more drive, am more energetic, take on more tasks and know I can be as healthy and fit as I choose to be.”

Ms. Brinker notes that employer- offered training sessions are the exception and not the norm. Wendy reiterates that if employers carefully consider the benefits of healthier employees and families, they would offer similar programs. Physically-fit employees have less health insurance claims which lead to lower group insurance rates for companies. Additionally, physically-fit employees have more energy and take less sick days. In the long run, fitness programs are cost- saving propositions for company owners.

Last night my wife and I attended a presentation by Travel To Go. We initially were convinced we would not buy anything because most of the time these presentations are a scam of sorts. We were pleasantly surprised by the warm non-confrontational presentation and after the presentation they offered us computer access to research travel opportunities and even provided me with a comparison quote for a trip we took last month. After all was said and done they offered to give us a $1,000 in lieu of the free trip offered to be deducted from a membership. We took them up on their offer. I have done some additional research this morning and find them to be a very reputable company as presented and I am sure we will make great use of their services.

My wife and I like the other people here attended a presentation to here about a travel company called Travel To Go. Of course the free trip was what got us to attend. After listening to the presentation they gave us a few minutes by ourselves to discuss it in private, we felt no pressure what so ever. As we travel every year anyway and do spend a few thousand per year on travel… we decided to purchase their travel plan.

In the last 2 years we have booked 2 cruises, 3 condos weeks, 2 in Hawaii and 1 in Colorado for a ski trip. I have booked many hotel rooms through them for my business and have an all-inclusive in Cancun booked for Jan 2010. We are very happy with the service and savings that Travel To Go has provided us and have pretty much saved what we bought our membership for.

I think the others that have expressed thier opinions here, do not have a valid complaint as they, as I ,only attended the presentation for the free trip. The difference is we purchased the program and have used it many times now, and are very happy with our deicission.
It sounds like the above just went for a freebee, did’nt purchase, have no experience with the company’s services, but have an opinion without any experience or information. You have to expect some restrictions and conditions on a complimentary trip people!!! Nothing Free!!!!!

If you are looking at this company to become a member, all I can tell you is we love it and it works very well for us.

I wanted to add a note here for those who didn’t join Travel to Go and were just upset about the free stuff. While I can understand about free stuff not being free, that was a lesson I learned many many years ago. I gues we got lucky for they bought our lunch and gave us $85. I tigured it’d been a long time since someone paid me a dollar a minute to listen to a sales pitch…….

but…

We joined Travel to Go mainly as a tool to save a lot of money on the price of cruises. We saved almost enough on our first cruise to pay for the enrollment cost to join.

Since we have a very nice RV, I didn’t think we’d use the condo renting side of TTG. We used it the first time to stay in a condo in Pennsylvania so we’d be less than a day away from our cruise port and we didn’t have to worry about missing the boat.

Well, Michael did such a fine job finding that condo, and we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere that we decided to use him for this summers play. I must say that our first trip this year was to Williamsburg at the Williamsburg Plantation….. It was like borrowing someone’s brand new two bedroom home. And to top it off it was a hot week….. $199.

We decided that one week wasn’t enough and tried to get another week there, but nothing was open for the next week. so I called Michael Foxall and me made a couple of calls and got us a stay at their sister location a mile or so away….. This was a nearly new place and really was staying in someone’s new house.

We got two weeks of the greatest time around the Williamsburg area and we’ll not soon forget it….. and especially Michael’s help with the second week.

We’re at Vail now and Steamboat next week…… I think Michael has turned us into condo junkies…

This condo with a full kitchen could cost that much per night, but I got the week for $299, and that includes tax and fees that hotels and condos always charge! We love to travel and these prices allow us to stay in very nice places and do much more traveling because of the money we are saving on these trips. Travelers are about to begin their vacation and are wondering about direct travel insurance.  Direct travel insurance is coverage for when individuals are on vacation, or otherwise traveling away from home.  Prices and types of coverage do vary, and often times it is best for travelers  to contact their home insurance company to see if they offer vacation coverage before seeking out direct travel insurance.

Purchasing Travel Insurance

The exact type of coverage individuals will need will vary depending on their particular needs and where you plan on traveling.  When purchasing travel insurance one should always be sure to go through the details of their policy, making sure to note any exclusions that may relate to the planned trip.   Travelers should also be sure to do this prior to signing the contract and making their final payment.

Medical Coverage

The type of medical coverage travelers  will need depends on where they  plan on visiting. The cost of medical care can vary greatly in different countries. Also if a travelers need to be evacuated from another country the costs can be tremendous, and often times outside the financial ability of many people.

For this reason, medical coverage is probably the most important travel insurance to purchase as the cost will seem like pennies when compared to the fees associated with hospital stays or medical evacuation should either situation arise.

What to look for with Medical Coverage

When travelers are looking at what options are available with different policies they need to be sure that the coverage includes: hospital stays, emergency (or medical) evacuation, unlimited personal liability, coverage for pre-existing conditions, and coverage for someone to accompany them if traveling alone and requiring medical evacuation.

Other than medical, what are the types of coverage available with travel insurance?

Travel insurance covers a variety of different situations that could arise during a person’s vacation or business trip.  Below are a few specifics regarding different coverage to assist individuals in finding a plan that is right for them and for their family.

Cancellations: If for some reason a travelers need to cancel a holiday or business trip they have already booked and paid for due to a serious injury or illness or a sick relative, with this type of coverage individuals are likely to be able to cover any financial losses.

Delays: Often times flight delays not only impact travel time, but also can adversely affect other flights or reservations.  Travel insurance covering delays will greatly reduce the financial impact and help cover costs associated with delays.

Luggage: In the unlucky event a person’s luggage is damaged, lost or stolen they will be glad they purchased travel insurance covering baggage.   They need to be sure to check whether they are covered for stolen luggage from a locked car or hotel room, what the limits are for coverage, and if their chosen policy reimburses for lost cash.

Rental Cars/Personal liability: When renting a car the rental car company usually offers coverage but it does not always fully cover personal liability.  This is particularly important in the case of an injury accident.  If individuals have travel insurance, this portion of the policy may either supplement the rental car coverage or could cover those expenses associated with personal liability if someone is injured. This cover will often include the legal expenses for accident as well.

In short, it is important for travelers to consider all the options when it comes to protecting themselves adequately while on vacation.

PALM BEACH COUNTY

Jasper National Park, Canada

Situated in the Alberta Rockies, Jasper National Park is one of Canada’s most spectacular treasures with 4,200 square miles of wilderness to explore. For an ideal winter getaway, head straight to Marmot Basin for 3,000 vertical feet of downhill trails, or enjoy mile after undisturbed mile available for Nordic skiing. Even if you don’t ski, there’s plenty of winter fun to be had, whether it be on skis, snowshoes, dog sled, or snowmobile. Add to that the fact that winter is Jasper’s low season and you’ve got a wilderness adventure at a veritable bargain.

Avoid The Heat – Desert heat is dangerous. It is important to carry plenty of water when hiking or exploring any desert area. In addition, wear long sleeved shirts and pants and wear plenty of sunscreen when exploring this type of region. Just returned from Grand Mayan and had a great time.  Weather was 70-80 degrees each day with some rain in the PM on a few days. Nice complex as usual. The ocean was warm and lots of visibility.

Afternoons, we walked out of the building  to the adjacent  pool. 2 for 1 happy hour from 11-1 made for a few liquid lunches.

No problems  at check in or check out. No additional unexpected  charges. Overall an easy vacation with non-stop  air from  Boston.

Rented a car for a day to go to Mayan Dig site. Not many road sign in Mexico. We managed  ok and the day was an adventure!

Thanks for your Welcome Home card.  Yes, our trip to Kauai was wonderful! Even though the weather did not always cooperate (couldn’t go snorkeling!), we were able to take the helicopter trip (Jack Squyers)–fantastic–the Kayak Wailua paddle/hike, tour Lumihali Gardens & go to the Smith’s Luau.  Over a week, we explored from Polihale Beach at the sound end of the road all the way to the Ke’e Beach on the north.

We loved the Pono Kai in Kapa’a!  Everything about it, the big immaculate rooms, the manicured grounds, the gorgeous setting, the service, the pool, the view, the beds (how rare it is!)–even the wall art was great.  We stayed in E104, which had a view of the sunrise over the ocean from our little porch.  The kitchen came in real handy & saved us some bucks.  Kapa’a is a cool, funky little town and worked out perfectly for our base of operations.  We appreciated the lack of hype & high-rise on Kauai.

This was one nice vacation!  Thanks to travel to go for facilitating this opportunity.

Last August my family took a trip to Mazatlan Mexico. We stayed at the Torres. It was the BEST vacation we ever took.  We went off season so it was not too crowded. The staff was great. My kids would rather stay there than go to anywhere else.  They are 9 and 14. The resort was perfect and clean. The rooms were great and the bathrooms were a dream. Through our membership my wife, grandson and I stayed at Greenlinks Golf Resort. We had a great time at the resort, our 2BR was well maintained, spacious, well-equipped and certainly more comfortable than a hotel could be.

The office staff was helpful and accommodating – much appreciated because it began to appear we may arrive at the resort after office hours. The pool area was spacious, plenty of lounge chairs, there was a hot tub and three clean gas barbecue grills. We would recommend this resort to anyone.

We just returned from our trip to Cancun – we had a wonderful time!    Park Royal is a very nice and convenient place to stay.

The food was very good and they had planned activities every day into the evening. For those who like to party there was a van available in the evening to take them to the disco. They even had a wonderful Super Bowl party!

Park Royal gives you a welcome package which includes discounts for discos and eating establishments off the premises and two tickets for the movie house which is just across the street in the beautiful open air mall.

The bus stop is just a block away and we were able to take the bus downtown, to the huge market where they sell their wares and to the bus terminal where we purchased tickets to Playa del Carmen.

Cancun is a very warm and friendly place to visit.   Not once did I ever feel uncomfortable or threatened in any way.

Palace Riviera was wonderful. Beautiful location, lobby, room, and the pool was the largest in Mexico. (2nd in the world). The staff there were so friendly and helpful it was like we were the most important people  in the world. We got use to the shuttles  away and we hit all the restaurants and all had wonderful food. I’ve decided I like refried beans. We have never  stayed before in such a luxurious condo or hotel. It was top grade. Even marble floors in the condo. TV in every room and maid service twice a day.  I noticed that the “normal customers” had to pay about $860 per nite. Travel To Go is the way to go!!!!!!!! Thank you very much for our vacation of a life time that we will take every year.

Just wanted to give you some feedback on the Tidewater Golf & Plantation unit we stayed at in July in North Myrtle Beach, SC.  The room was nice and clean. It is actually a 3 bedroom unit plus a sofa bed which would sleep at least 8 people. North Myrtle Beach is very nice. The beach is beautiful, clean sand, warm waters. Plenty of miniature golf courses to try. Shopping was very convenient on Route 17. We went to Barefoot Landing (shopping and food). We took in two shows, one at the Alabama Theatre which was great and a dinner and show at Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede. The kids really enjoyed it. We went to Ripley’s Aquarium also and much more.

On August 2, 2008, my husband and I were to leave for a 2 week vacation in Europe. When I was packing and getting documents ready, I looked for our plane tickets and could not find them.  I looked everywhere.  We purchased the tickets through Travel to Go.  I called the emergency number and Ms. Franklin was on duty that day.  She advised me to call the Airline Company which I did, but they said since they had our reservation but no record of payment we wouldn’t be able to fly unless we paid for the fare again.

I called back Ms. Franklin, and after her talking with the airline, it seems a copy of the sale needed to be faxed to them.  Apparently the copy couldn’t be found on the computer, so Ms. Franklin began the process of trying to get a copy to the airline.

Ms. Franklin was very courteous and tried to be very helpful.  She was accommodating, more than I can say for the airline.  She certainly “went through her paces” that afternoon, and I appreciate all she tried to do.  I in turn prayed for the airline tickets to appear from somewhere, and they did, they had fallen off my desk, (which is in a comer) and I found them on the floor between the wall and the desk.

August 2010 we attended a presentation for Travel to Go.  We were very interested in the potential to add my sisters and their families as well as our own two kids and families to access the wonderful deals on immediately available resort stays. This last year we did not take advantage of this (mostly due to my own travel schedule and the fact that with young children you need more time for planning), but I have been very pleased with assistance from Bianca Novak for our African Safari arrangements and with Steve Olinger for assistance in finding good resorts and hotels for some of my business travel.  We just signed up for a two year renewal and look forward to taking advantage of the good deals and the excellent service for travel flight plans.

We purchased our Travel to go membership this last year.  We just came back from our first condo booked by Travel To Go.   It was a great condo and had a great view of the mountains around Dillon, CO.  We are also RCI members and I tried to get something around Dillon as an extra vacation on RCI and I saved about $150 and had a better unit over what I would have had with RCI.  I am used to exchanging or using extra weeks on RCI but don’t have the same access as they do.  It is good to talk to someone who will give you specific options other than RCI and we can make the choice.

Travel To Go has been incredible at finding affordable and dream vacations for our members, as well as my family. Jeanette Bunn is absolutely wonderful to work with and is so compassionate about this company. Kathy Hirt is someone I often work closely with and is a huge help… I know Kathy can make it happen! Steve Olinger is amazing at finding condos in high demand areas, and is one of the nicest and most helpful agents I have ever worked with. Tommy Middaugh, Donna Hisel, Aramis Cherrington….they are all great! Travel To Go lives up to the expectation of providing 5-star service and I would highly recommend this product!

We have been TTG members for about a year and a half now and have found every agent to be helpful in helping us accomplish our rather unique travel needs.  We are more into independent travel than we are into cruises or tours.  Bianca, who specializes in helping with international travel, has been SUPER!  She helped us with a trip to Europe last year and this year with a tour to South Africa.  Bianca is very helpful and answers questions and requests in a very timely fashion.

I love travel to go!  I use this method of traveling quite frequently.  The accommodations are great.  The prices Fantastic, especially for those of us who can travel at a moment’s notice.

I had a timeshare and I could not get into the resort that I owned even with ownership.  With Travel To Go not only was I able to get into my home resort, I got a unit that was better than what I owned.

Since becoming a member of Travel To Go I vacation quite often.  My friends say, “You are going on vacation again”?  Yes I am because Travel To Go makes it possible for me to afford multiple vacations every year!

Here I was with a little cash to spare and a Granddaughter to reward for graduation! We could go most anywhere within my budget ……. alas not too much time to plan AND she did not have a Passport (: What to do,   in steps Dale Holt and we are off on a cruise to the Bahamas. Travel To Go and Tommy Middaugh are pleased to support the New Vista Community in their efforts to remain innovative and to have the ability to constantly update their services to offer clean, safe and user friendly living accommodations to the intellectually challenged population of Clark County, Nevada.

The generous donation of time and energy by Tommy Middaugh of Travel To Go helps support New Vista Community projects such as its Community Outreach Center.  Through his efforts and the support of organizations such as Travel To Go Scam Watch, the New Vista Community Outreach Center will better enable intellectually challenged members of the greater Las Vegas community to embrace new growth opportunities by participating in a diversity of educational and recreational activities.  These thoughtfully planned curricula have been carefully crafted to increase the independent life skills of those who partake.

The efforts of Travel To Go and Tommy Middaugh will also support the following services offered by the New Vista Community Center:

Senior Assisted Living Center New Vista wholeheartedly believes that choices regarding retirement should be available to all people, including those who are intellectually challenged.  Their planned Senior Assisted Living Center will be an innovative yet entirely practical new facility that will support individuals who are both advancing in years and are intellectually challenged.    Group Homes New Vista offers a group home setting at their “Ranch” which is located on a 15-acre donated parcel of land in the northwest area of Las Vegas. Their professional staff is dedicated to improving life skills, maximizing awareness, and reducing the effects of stigma associated with people who are intellectually challenged.

Transitional Supported Living Arrangements (TSLA) TSLA programs target more independent individuals who are able to live on their own, maintain good health and be relatively free of danger.  Placements are made in accordance with client needs, ranging from minimal support to high supervision for up to four individuals in a home of their choice.

Supportive Living Arrangements (SLA) We offer three levels of support in the Supportive Living Arrangement (SLA) program. Each home in this program is located in different areas throughout the Las Vegas Valley.  The levels of service provided are as follows:

SLA: supports individuals that have mastered several life skills and only need assistance and/or guidance in a few areas.  This program offers the most independence for residents.  Generally, there is a limited staff presence of ten to twenty hours per week, with no overnight supervision.

SLA+: supports individuals who require 24-hour staff assistance including overnight sleep supervision.

ISLA (Intensive SLA): supports individuals with increased behavioral and medical needs that require around-the-clock support.

In-Home is when the individual is still living at home with parents or guardians. This program provides pre-training for individuals to see if they would be capable of leaving home and living in one of the placements mentioned above. Typically the training period does not exceed three (3) months.
