So why take cheap annual travel insurance? Determine if you're someone who vacations a lot and need to buy a holiday insurance policy each time you go abroad, this will come to a lot of money. During this economic situation you need to watch where your money goes, so it's critical to save each penny whenever you can. That is why, if you're a frequent traveller, you really should ensure you use your money sensibly, this means discovering the best deals available that you can. This means finding the best policy for the trips you may be taking for the year.

Shopping for this cheap annual travel insurance may seem a bit daunting to start with. Quite often people utilise their travel agent to get their policy from, though sometimes they are not the cheapest or best option. Others will use their general insurance broker, who once again might not be able to get them the best deal. You do need to shop around, discuss with your travel agent, talk to your insurance broker, see what they have to offer. Your third source of sourcing cover is naturally the Internet.

Many companies online sell cheap annual travel insurance. Many of them you can either phone for an instant quote or get an online quote there and then. This enables you to compare many different companies, then find which gives you the best coverage for the best premium. Remember, you may discover a really good, budget deal, but will it cover you for all circumstance? Just make sure that you don't opt for the cheapest rate and lower your coverage, you need to be covered for every possible situation on your travels.

In summary, finding cheap annual travel insurance can take a little while but can be beneficial in the long term. Make sure you are covered for everything you're likely to encounter on your travels. If, for example, you are going on a adventure trip one holiday and on a cruise another trip, be sure you're covered adequately.

The term bank charge which is also inaccurately known as oeunfair charges covers all charges made by banks to their customers. The term often relates to the charges in respect of personal current accounts.

In the UK, this was not common practice until the 1990s when banks began to introduce this type of charge as a means of product differentiation - often offering additional services bundled with the bank account itself.

Such services include travel insurance, mobile phone insurance, preferential rates on other products. It is estimated that UK banks make an estimated 4.7 billion profit a year from unfair charges or bank charges to their clients accounts.

The law in Britain does not permit a penalty clause. Inspite of this, when you may have been overdrawn in the bank, even by a penny, banks have automatically sent you a letter telling you that you are overdrawn - and charged you anything from 20 to 40 just for sending this letter. This is in addition to any interest charges for being overdrawn or having an unauthorised overdraft.

Other unfair charges include returned cheques fees, excessive fees for overdrafts, excessive fees for unpaid standing orders, excessive fees for unpaid direct debits, card misuse fee, unpaid cheque fee, unarranged borrowing fee, late payment fee for credit cards, account misuse fee, late payment fee for store cards, late payment fee for catalogue purchases, fee for exceeding authorised overdraft limit, and other irregular fees.

However, people of U.K. got some relief when during a ruling that credit cards should only charge no more then a 12 annual fee in 2006, the Office of Fair Trading declared that some bank charges were unlawful as well as being unfair. This opened up opportunities for people to reclaim unlawful bank charges.

To date the banks in the UK have not challenged this decision and have refunded the unlawful bank charges to their customers.

Not many people will have been aware that, up until the end of
February, Madagascar was the only country in the world, apart from
Somalia, that the Foreign Office were advising Britions not to travel
to, giving it a higher risk factor than Afghanistan, Iraq and the
Democratic Republic of Congo. Although Madagascar is not on most
that, whilst most holiday destinations are generally strife free, it
still pays to check out where you are going before you travel.

The best place to do this is by checking with the Foreign Office
which has up to date advice on all countries and to log on to
www.fco.gov.uk/travel is a wise precaution, particularly if you plan to
travel to parts of the world off the beaten track. Should you become
caught up in what is neatly termed, civil commotion or civil unrest,
you need to be aware that most , be wise
and avoid those areas where a heightened tension exists.

If you like the thought of one of the long, lazy luxury vacation
packages at some of the world’s most pristine tropical playgrounds,
wouldn’t it be even better if you could continue being surrounded by
the crystal clear water even while you are relaxing in your hotel room?
In an over-water bungalow you can do just that.

Imagine complementing your holiday with the sensational experience of staying in an over-water bungalow, where you can look through the glass bottom floor to watch the colourful reef fish and sting rays playing below you. Many of the over-water bungalow resorts also offer delicious canoe breakfasts were your fresh gourmet breakfast will be delivered direct to your villa by a friendly local in a canoe.

Here are our pick of the top five over-water bungalow destinations:

1. Tahiti

One of the most exotic and romantic parts of the dazzling South Pacific would surely have to be Tahiti. Over-water bungalows originated in Tahiti and the surrounding islands back in the 1960s so it’s no surprise that the majority of luxury Tahiti resorts have over-water bungalows available.

The Bora Bora Lagoon Resort and Spa is truly decadent, complete with a satellite and plasma TV, air-conditioning and a private security safe. Of course, it also has exquisite views! If you like to pamper yourself with champagne and bubble baths, you will love the divine bathrooms in the over-water bungalows at the InterContinental Bora Bora Resort and Thalasso Spa. Of course, this comes complete with glass floors and even clear coffee tables so they don’t obstruct your view.

2. Maldives

The ever-glorious Maldives are perfect at any time of the year and the best way to make the most of your luxury Maldives holiday is by staying at one of the many over-water bungalows - or water villas - on offer here. At the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island resort you can not only enjoy your over-water villa, you can also dine in the unique underwater restaurant, Ithaa.

Cocoa Island Resort is 30 minutes from the airport by speedboat and well worth the trip. Owned by the COMO Hotels and Resorts group, it has the same elegance that is typical of these resorts. Nearby Kandooma Channel has been referred to as one of the Maldives’ best dive sites, with excellent snorkelling spots nearby too.

Other resorts where you can treat yourself to a stay in an over-water bungalow in the Maldives include the Four Seasons Kuda Huraa Resort, Baros Resort, and One and Only Kanuhara.

3. Mauritius

Mauritius is another tropical paradise located off the African coast, in the southwest of the Indian Ocean. This island has a more cosmopolitan atmosphere and is somewhere you can blend relaxing days on the beach with vibrant water activities, great shopping, fine dining and exciting nightlife. The only Mauritius resort offering over-water bungalows is Le Prince Maurice, where you can also enjoy glass-bottomed boat tours, water sports and use of the resorts’ two golf courses, located nearby on the mainland. Sheltered from winds, this private sanctuary provides many secluded retreats as well as a natural fish reserve.

4. Caribbean

If you want to enjoy a luxury Caribbean holiday there is only one resort that offers over-water bungalows and that is the 9 Beaches Resort at Bermuda. Choose from one of 84 stylish cabanas, all located over 18 acres of exquisite private waterfront. You can spend your days participating in all manor of water sports and activities, or simply put your feet up and sip ice-cold cocktails and daiquiris while lazing on the soft, sandy beach? or from the veranda of your private over-water cabana.

5. Vanuatu

Another piece of paradise in the South Pacific is Vanuatu, a small chain of idyllic tropical islands. Le Lagon Resort Vanuatu is nestled amongst 75 acres of tranquil gardens, alongside the stunning Erakor Lagoon. With the most amazing views all around you, this resort is only eight kilometres away from the International Airport. For shop-a-holics, Vanuatu’s capital, Port Vila, is the best place for shopping and is only three kilometres from Le Lagon Resort Vanuatu. This spectacular South Pacific luxury resort boasts three restaurants and bars, each serving a feast of delectable cuisine.

No matter what your interests are, you are sure to enjoy a luxury UK vacation. Here are our suggestions on the best places to include in your itinerary.

If
you like visiting traditional English gardens then there are plenty on
offer in the UK. Enjoy a leisurely walk or a gourmet picnic in some of
the most prestigious gardens such as England’s Newby Hall and gardens,
Castle Howard, formal terraces of Northumbria, Arley Hall and gardens,
or the many historic homes in the south-east of England. Scotland’s
Royal Botanic Gardens and Malleny Gardens, both in Edinburgh, provide
splendid displays of centuries-old hedges and old-fashioned roses that
have to be seen to be believed. The Channel Islands have the most
outstanding display of wildflowers while the National Botanic Garden of
Wales, in Carmarthenshire, is home to the world’s largest single span
glasshouse. The International Rose Garden in Ireland’s Belfast displays
over 25,000 rose bushes. During summer, the fragrance as you walk
through these gardens is one that must be experienced at least once in
a lifetime.

If shopping is on your agenda then you are sure
to love the offerings in England. London is surely one of the best
shopping destinations in the world, particularly in the bustling Oxford
and Regent Streets and Notting Hill. You are sure to find stunning
one-of-a-kind outfits here, with a selection of designer boutiques,
international labels and of course, the world-famous Harrods department
store. For fine antiques, your best selections can be found throughout
the historical villages in the East of England or Northamptonshire. The
Northamptonshire region also offers a selection of specialty boutiques
and delicious farmers markets, where you can purchase some of the
freshest fine foods in all of Britain.

Of course, with all
this shopping you are sure to need plenty of rest stops to replenish
your energy, and you will find no shortage of delicious treats along
your journey. While in Wales you will enjoy plenty of opportunities to
indulge in some of the region’s tastiest organic foods along with fresh
venison. Meanwhile Scotland offers you a selection of working whiskey
distilleries such as Benromach Distillery in Forres and the Glen Moray
Distillery on the River Lossie in Elgin. Naturally you will be able to
savour the fine malt whiskey these distilleries produce and even meet
some of the local craftsmen.

Luxury trips are never complete
without lots of pampering, and you can enjoy that throughout the UK.
There are many day spas to choose from but if you are looking for
absolute opulence, then Mayfair’s exclusive Elemis Day Spa is just what
you need. This lavish spa has been voted as Europe’s Leading Day Spa
and is sure to delight you. Many of the UK’s five star resorts will
also be only too happy to provide you with relaxing pampering
treatments. While visiting England’s West Country, a stay at The
Cowshed is worthwhile. Pampering at this exquisite venue is only
available to Babington House guests, but if you enjoying a luxury
holiday in the UK then Babington House should also be on your
itinerary. This superb venue boasts prestigious designer rooms along
with its own private cinema and library.

The UK also offers
visitors a vast range of events and activities throughout the year. The
UK social scene is buzzing with something almost year-round, from the
Edinburgh Tattoo, Ascot races, Buckingham Palace visits or a day at
Wimbledon to watch the tennis, there is sure to be something ideal for
you. Golf lovers will be fascinated by the high quality of golf courses
in the UK, including The De Vere Belfry in Warwickshire, the hallowed
Old Course at St Andrews in Scotland or Celtic Manor in Wales.

There
are also numerous galleries and museums where you can immerse yourself
in ancient artefacts and historical relics of the UK, not to mention
some of the world’s most prestigious art pieces and collectors’
editions.

Where else can you experience theatre so abundantly
as in Britain? While in London it is worthwhile ensuring you take in a
West End show - these are often the talk of the town.

Throughout
the cities and regional UK you are sure to encounter many other
theatre, opera and cabaret productions, along with an abundance of live
music and festivals.

Whether you choose to engross yourself
in the historic wealth of the UK or its amazing shopping venues; the
local art gallery or tranquil pampering at one of the many 5 star resorts , you’re sure to bring back many precious memories of your UK luxury tour.
