Oh where, oh where has my traveling toy camera gone?

I am looking forward to the toy camera arriving safely back across this side of the ocean!
It's been so great seeing everyone's photographs and knowing that the camera is making it's way around the world! I believe that now we have someone from nearly every continent ready to welcome the camera to their city! This is a very exciting prospect!
I'm also toying (no pun intended) of seeking everyone's input into making some kind of book or memento for all the participants so that we can share our favorite photos with the others in a more permanent way. I got this idea when I received a postcard in the mail with my favorite image from the camera's visit to Vancouver - I was so excited to get this lovely postcard thanking me for setting up the project and being able to put it up in my home.
Thoughts participants? Would anyone be interested in this kind of idea?

After what seems a lifetime of scanning, here are the results from the film I put through our little travelling friend.
It was fun to view the world through rectangular eyes instead of the square format I'm used to.
Thanks again to Emily for the idea and the organisation of the project.

Last things first

I have begun the painful process of scanning the images and I am almost done with the last of the three rolls I shot.

I realized that I had about 15 frames left in camera the evening before I was going to pass it on to the UK. So, I went out and shot these in a haze, chasing the last light of the evening.

I have to say that I'm quite nervous of taking photos with the camera - the pressure is on to keep up the great standard posted here and on Flickr. I'll try and get some film in and get out and about in the next couple of days.

Thank you Charles for passing it on! The camera turned up this afternoon. The weather forecast for this week is very uncertain, it will most likely be rain. So, I guess that I will shoot B&W just as my fellow Europeans. That's all for now!

Bayford

Bayford is a village in Hertfordshire set in some very pretty countryside. It also has some great pubs which serve a mean lunch. These photos were taken after a couple of pints and a gammon steak.

The New River

This was taken the same morning as the River Lea shots. The New River is a canal built in the 17th century to take drinking water to London, which it still does. Having seen some of the things that float down the river, it's a wonder anybody survives there.

Still it's a peaceful spot. I live in one of the houses to the left of the river; I'm right at the end.

So here is my first batch of images. These are photos of the River Lea at Broxbourne taken on a sunny Saturday afternoon and shot with Kodak Tri X which expired many years ago.

Pleased to say that the Vivitar arrived safe and sound in Broxbourne (in England) yesterday. Already shot a couple of rolls though it so will upload these shortly....hopefully the shots will be in focus and won't have my finger blocking the lens!

My proposal for this project is divided into three parts: people, places and shapes.
