Travis Bean Humbucker wanted!
(or just the chrome cover)
A broken pickup is good too.
If you are looking for a TB pickguard (custom made) or an TB bridge (original?) i can put that in the trade.
Also have an original 70ies Fender WRH to trade;

I'm trying to replace a broken schaller machine head on my TB 500. My TB 500 came with Shaller machine heads not GoToh. I purchased a set of Shaller M6 180 3 left + 3 right Large Metal. They are identical to the set to the ones on the guitar BUT the width of the collar and shaft of the new machine heads are 10mm. The original machine heads are less than 10mm. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm gutted now, yes! (Hindsight, eh?) It was just one of those things I suppose, you're desperate to keep refreshing things at that age and I was a strictly one-bass-at-a-time back then. I'd always had this unhealthy obsession with buying and trading, but more importantly, never going back to a bass that I'd had previously, so I was never going to go back to a TB2000 despite having the option a few years ago. I've had a long-standing love-affair with Gibson Thunderbirds which after about ten passing through my hands over the last decade or so is reaching its end and I'm moving - slowly - over to Mike Lull basses.The band is 'Who Killed Nancy Johnson?'. We're on Spotify/Apple etc.P

A number of years ago I taught guitar lessons at a local school and then left the music book in my guitar case. I didn't play for a long time - but when I decided to start again, I found that the ink from the music book transferred through the guitar's lacquer and into the wood! I thought it was just in the lacquer, but I gently sanded some of it and that's how I found out it was in the wood. The guitar is in excellent shape - I would just like to fix the area that the ink seeped through. Ay ideas? It would be great if somebody was in the San Diego area who could help.
There is a TB standard at Electric Standard ( 1261 Dundas West ) . Zak could help you with that . He just had an early Bean bass in for service . It was sold by Tundra and the electronics were not working at all . That bass was killer when it was set up properly .

I am considering selling my TB2000 #729 , as I am now playing my modified #576As said, #729 is a 100% unaltered player's bass with a magnificent vintage looking 'cracked' varnish (showing those beautiful internal internal crack lines in the varnish - photos on demand) - Body shows some signs of wear; and a couple of small dings - like a player's bass should :) Frets are perfectly used, they have reached the stage of maturity were the neck is as easy to play as can be.If interested, please send me an e-mail : pabsan@free.fr

Thanks Quimby, I've looked into Kevin's website. It looks like he does some fantastic work. My guitar needs a bunch of parts, and when I looked into buying them all, it was going to cost over a thousand dollars for everything. Since I like figuring out how to make things, I figured I could spend that thousand dollars on tools and materials, and in the end I'd have some tools and some new skills.Also, I might be doing things a little differently than the stock components. I'm a bit spoiled with my guitar. It's actually pretty light, since it doesn't have the stainless steel cavity cover & pickguard. I was thinking of making the cover & pickguard out of polished aluminum (maybe making some stainless steel versions to leave in the case) to lighten things up.So, I'll see how it goes. Definitely an experiment, and something that'll be slower than buying the parts, but I think it'll be fun and educational.
