Del Mar room - Donovan's in La Jolla


We had the pleasure of showcasing our design at this years VIP showcase for the Donovan's Open house in La Jolla . Our design was a collaboration effort with Celebrity Weddings , who provided all the linens/ charger plates /chair covers / napkins , for this great table scape. Our "Black Tie Affair " was our design theme for this grand creation , with every napkin created in the shape of a tie , with a sparkle napkin ring to glitz our table. The overall creation consisted of 6 candelabras , two which where tall grand statement pieces , and four which where our small glitzy candelabras . The florals we incorporated in our overall design where in hues of yellow / whites/ and ivory . To name a few of these florals where Hydrangea / Ivory Roses / Yellow spray roses / Freesia / Daisy/ Buttons / White Iris , these are to name of few .Not only where we able to create this glitzy design we also incorporated our lighting ( hint: blue ) , to create a very classy but intimate affair , with our mini candy station for the guest to partake in . DIY Light-bulb Wedding Decor

Are you planning an outdoor wedding with a whimsical touch. If you are a DIY craftier , these lovely hanging light bulb floral accents , can create a very personal touch to your ceremony decor. The simple tools you will need are: * Pliers / Floral Wire / Light Bulb / Gloves. We found a few inspirational images , that created some lovely light-bulb decor.

Paper Pomander Balls

Tissue Paper Pomander Balls are the new trend for 2012 ( we think) , with the vast amount of colors and styles . Creating these lovely balls of paper can create a very whimsical touch to your wedding decor. From this lovely large Pomander Ball made of three colors ( orange / ivory / pink ) , rolled up to create the look of rosettes . This can create a lovely grand statement .

Choosing colors to accent your ceremony colors .These lovely pomanders add the touch to the aisle decor with these chair accents .

Create a table-scape , with touches of paper pomanders , and making individual mini's for guest to take home . These can be a great way for the DIY craftier to create an cozy ambiance without florals .

Winter Wonderland Glam Inspiration

Diamond Glitz and shimmering candles create this very White Holiday Inspiration that we had the privilege of working on with some very talented vendors . From the simple glitter that accented the centerpieces to the very glamorous gown our lovely model showcased .Through-out our florals we incorporated diamond accents , from the large centerpiece to the bridal bouquet florals & wrap , we infused large diamond studs to create a very glamorous feel .In our bridal bouquet we also inserted two large silver glitter leafs to create a snowflake feel.The florals we incorporated where Lisianthus /Blizzard Roses / China Mum /Maiden Hair ( minimal ). In our large sliver stand that we dazzled with diamonds , having them sparkle around the bottom of the florals ,and to our mini florals arrangements , which we sprayed in glitzy silver , and added diamond swirl appliques to enhance our diamond feel. We had such fun creating and design our floral arrangements for this inspiration .

DIY Holiday Magnets

Create a simple decoration with Holiday magnets . With different Holiday paper options or customizing your holiday paper and including your loved ones names through-out , can make your project more personalized .

Cut the circles out or simply use a circle punch. Adhere a jumbo flat back clear marble {purchased from JoAnn's} on top, a super strong magnet on the back and that's it!

I popped mine into an altered "altoid" tin and secured with a holiday bow. Use your 40% off coupon and you've got a sweet lil' gift for just under $5. {Package them in sets of 6 and you've got gifts for at least 4 people...what a BARGAIN!!!}

Melissa & Barron 11/5/11 Wedding Reception

Trendee's captured these moments captured at Melissa & Barrons wedding reception at the Butcher Shop Venue. Where they celebrated there union with 100 of there guest with the a very glitzy Black & White color scheme.

In each of our centerpieces we designed a black diamond accented riser with a trio cluster of white florals with black and white accented ribbons with touches of diamond accents through- out .

Its in the details as they say , we created these lovely letter table cards for the guest assigned seating .

The cake was the main attraction , since it is in the middle of the dance floor , we wanted it to stand out. To create a flow, we overlapped the runners through the railing , and added our candle stands with crystal accents for that touch of bling .

Each of the guest where welcomed with a diamond accented personalized gift box , which where filled with a sweet treat.

Our favorite creations are our Sweet Stations . Since we have a sweet tooth , we created an overall black & white color scheme through-out our candy selections as well as our custom goody bags .

With a lovely teaser for our bride and groom we had "Hey there Cupcakes !" create these custom mini cupcakes , that looked so pretty , and accented our table so perfectly .

So many sweets to choose from , guest where eager to devour the Candy station .

We added the bridal request of the famous Empanadas , with flavors of Pumkin & Apple , and slices of Pan Dulce , with Mexican sweet bread through-out the table.

The custom engraved glassware that where designed for our bride and groom .

Last but not least our bride Melissa had a lovely family member create these chocolate hearts for the guest to take home a treat. Creating a memorable experience for your guest can make them feel loved . We hope you enjoyed some these captured details that we wanted to share with you.

Harvest Garland

We fell in-love with this idea of creating a Fireplace Garland , made from burlap cut-outs with silk leaves. Inspire and Create your fall creation and share what you can inspire others.

Pumpkin Soap

First select your mold choice . We have chosen a Pumpkin Ice Rubber mold to go with our Fall theme.

Second we have our soap cubes . You can purchase them at your local craft store .

Third melt your Soap cubes for 30 - 40 seconds in the microwave or boiler and stir once complete. Once melted you can add the color of your liking as well as any fragrant perfume to your soap .

Finally once you have poured your liquid soap into your mold , let set for 2 hours , before removing them from mold. Once complete package your soaps and share your DIY gift .

It was a great pleasure and fun to finally meet Gaby & Dave for their ceremony . The reason being is Gaby's co-worker was a previous bride Lisa Yates , who referred Gaby to us for her special day. On the day of our consultation at the Grand Tradition Estates in Fallbrook when we first had the pleasure of meeting , it felt as if we had already been planning all along there big day. Meeting her hubby ( Dave )-to- be at the his parents , and taking a peek of the grounds. We where eager to start creating a beautiful design scape . Throughout our meetings and our planning Dave became our in between middle man who participated in every consultation, and was right by Gaby side all the way. You could truly see the love between these two .I truly had a blast working with Gaby & Dave on their special day. Thank you to all of our wonderful vendors who also made this wedding come together :

We had the pleasure of meeting Jessica last year in 2010 as she was planning her big day. Sweet and quiet she was searching for a florist to create her design from beginning to end from style with colors /florals /and creativity . As we created an inspirational board for her ceremony , we quickly knew that it was a match .
