CNN is reporting that the Jackson family has made plans for a public viewing of the King of Pop’s body. Michael Jackson’s body will be in his Neverland Ranch on Thursday morning in preparations for a public viewing on Friday, July 3 2009. The family is also planning a private memorial service on Sunday, July 5 2009.

The plans and arrangements for his funeral service are not yet clear. The city of Gary, Indiana is planning a public memorial service for him on July 10 2009 at the U.S. Steel Works ballpark.

The King of Pop, Michael Jackson, will receive a public funeral that is expected to draw thousands of die hard fans. MJ’s family will also like to have a private funeral so that his children and close friends and family can mourn the pop star’s death in private. Given Michael Jackson’s celebrity status world-wide, his funeral and memorial service might also become the most watched funeral service ever. The TV viewership for his funeral service is already being projected to be hundreds of millions of viewers. The last big funeral service witnessed by the world was that of Princess Diana. Her funeral drew a record quarter of a million mourners and a record TV viewership.

The Jackson family has not yet announced any plans of a public memorial service. The media is expecting this to be announced soon after the autopsy. After Change.gov and Recovery.gov, the Obama administration has now launched a new website called www.Cars.Gov. This website will offer information on how to trade in your old car for a more fuel efficient car.

Congress passed the $1 Billion Cash-For-Clunkers plan and sent it to President Obama for his signature and consent last week. This program will help new car buyers to get $3,500-$4,500 when they trade in their old gas guzzling and inefficient cars for brand new energy efficient cars.

According to the Cars.Gov website, here are the five most important things you should know about this plan:

1. Your vehicle must be less than 25 years old on the trade-in date.
2. Only purchase or lease of new vehicles qualify.
3. Generally, trade-in vehicles must get 18 or less MPG (some very large pick-up trucks and cargo vans have different requirements).
4. Trade-in vehicles must be registered and insured continuously for the full year preceding the trade-in.
5. You don’t need a voucher, dealers will apply a credit at purchase.

While this new plan was passed very recently, scammers are already jumping to cash in on this program. So beware of scammers and phony websites. As per CNNMoney,

Some purported “Cash for Clunkers” Web sites are asking consumers to provide personal information, including names, addresses and social security numbers, so they can “register” for the program, said Patricia Swift-Oladeinde, a spokeswoman for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the government agency assigned to administer the program.

Other Web sites tell car shoppers they will put them in touch with authorized “Cash for Clunkers” dealers in their area, she said.

Cinco Demio is a Mexican holiday that celebrates the defeat of French forces by a much smaller Mexican army led by their General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguín. The battle between the Mexican and French forces happened on May 5 1862. Cinco Demio can also be spelt as “Cinco De Mayo” or “Sinco De Mayo”.

The WHO (World Health Organization) has raised severe concerns about Swine Flu becoming the latest epidemic to affect North America. About 68 people are already dead in Mexico and the number of confirmed Swine Flu cases in the United States has risen to 11. The Swine Flu virus can also affect young and healthy people.

What is Swine Flu (Swine Influenza)?

According to the Centers For Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), the Swine Flu “is a respiratory disease of pigs caused by type A influenza virus that regularly causes outbreaks of influenza in pigs. Swine flu viruses cause high levels of illness and low death rates in pigs. Swine influenza viruses may circulate among swine throughout the year, but most outbreaks occur during the late fall and winter months similar to outbreaks in humans”.

Symptoms of Swine Flue

Regular Flu like symptoms like Fever, lethargy, lack of appetite and coughing. Some people with swine flu also have reported runny nose, sore throat, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.

Will I Catch The Swine Flue Virus If I Eat Pork & Other Pig Products?

The Swine Flu virus is not transmitted by food. But you should always cook all kinds of meat to at least a temperature of 160F – this will ensure that all harmful bacteria including the Swine virus are killed. Also make sure that the meat you eat has been handled properly in a clean and hygienic environment.

What Else Can I Do?

• If you are experiencing any flu like symptoms (running nose, vomit, body aches, fever, sore throat), please rush to the closest hospital or doctor’s clinic. Do not sit back and think that it will go away soon. Swine Flu is treatable and your doctor would be in a position to give you the best medical advice on how to proceed if you are diagnosed with Swine Flu.
• Try to stay away from people who are sick or have flu like symptoms. It is ok to avoid going to that concert or party for some days.
• Always keep your hands clean. Use hand sanitizer as often as possible. If you have kids at home, make sure that they are also washing their hands before meals and every time they enter the house after spending sometime outside.
• Avoid travelling to areas where confirmed cases of Swine Flu have been reported. Keep yourself updated with the latest news on Swine Flu.

Are There Vaccines Or Medicines I Can Take To Prevent Swine Flu?

There are vaccines that can be given to pigs to prevent swine influenza. The CDC is currently in the process of preparing a vaccine that can be administered to humans also. If you took the seasonal flu shot then you may be protected against the H3N2 Swine Flu strain. But the strain that has shown up in affected patients of Mexico and the United States is of the H1N1 variety and there is currently no vaccine for this kind of strain.
