I have been a long time fan of Damien Blottière and have featured some of his collaborative work on Trendspiration before.

His faultless collage work puts other photomontage artists to shame, as he almost sculpts his subjects to create a 3 dimensional quality.

I often find with this sort of work the subject can be over processed and the image lost, but Damien’s cubist style approach creates connections from all directions which makes for a very arresting piece of work. Something I would love to have on my wall at home, if I could get over all of those eyes following me around the room.

Lucas Sponchiado - Fashion Design

There is pretty much nothing more I want in life than a pair of Lucas Sponchiado stockings.

I came across the Belgian fashion designer’s work through the 27th Hyères International Festival of Fashion and Photography and I have fallen in love with his ability to create strong, armour-like pieces without compromising on femininity.

Also if you are looking for an outfit that covers a few of your trend bases I can see tribal patterns and fetish style lines working harmoniously here. Oh yeahhh!

Didn’t any body think to tell Katy Perry that electricity and water don’t mix?

It’s lucky the seascape in this shoot by the brilliant David La Chapelle to promote the new the GHD Air hairdryer is just made from shiny foil then I guess.

I’m not usually a massive fan of Katy, but shiny foil I am a fan of and luckily there was enough of it in this shoot to overshadow her.

I have been posting a lot of food related stuff recently! Particularly on our Facebook page. I think it’s because it is so cold and dreary outside, I want the comfort of yummy foods!

But there is nothing dreary about the subtle colours and tones in this beautifully nostalgic work from New Zealand born graphic designer Joel Penkman.

Joel puts a lot of love into his paintings, from using egg tempera and gesso to grinding and mixing his own paint, something I think really comes across in the final outcome. These pieces are careful and considered, loving tributes to iconic snacks and I want to eat them. I want to eat them all.

London-based artist Petra Storrs has to be one of the most talented, innovative and interesting creatives I have ever had to pleasure to feature on this blog.

Alongside another of my favourites Fred Butler she embodies the type of work that is incredible, yet at the same time accessible, with her use or ordinary materials like paper and glue tricking me into thinking ‘I could do that! If only I applied myself’.

A ‘creative’ in every sense of the word she works in set and prop design, stage costume design, illustration and art direction.

After Graduating from Kingston University she now runs her own Studio in London working on projects ranging from her ongoing collaborations with musicians Paloma Faith, Florence and the Machine, Lady Gaga and many others.

To windows for Selfridges, a commission by the V&A and work for clients including Rolex, Vogue, Dazed & Confused, and Christian Louboutin.

Lisa Nilsson - Art

I completely fell in love with this anatomical ‘Tissue Series’ from Lisa Nilsson as soon as I saw it.

At first glance it works beautifully as a set of abstact pieces with the intricate tissue paper detail creating colourful, twisting and turning patterns.

But when you step back and take in the whole piece you realise how each carefully placed section works together to create some frankly stunning cross-sections from the human body.

It aso totally reminds me of the Live Autopsy programmes on Channel 4 with Dr Gunther von Hagens! Freaky but fantastic!

I like to be as overdressed as possible for every occasion so I love the concept of this shoot for Vogue Mexico by Jean-François Campos and starring Constance Jablonski.

What makes it stand out the most for me is the styling from Sarah Gore-Reeves. Eclectic prints from Dolce & Gabbana, Prabal Gurung and Jason Wu are framed beautifully by the rows of fruit and veg in the supermarket.

With the pasteley colour palette, hair by Dennis Devoy and makeup by Brigitte Reis Anderson giving the whole shoot a dreamy 60’s feel.

As collaborations go, it doesn’t get much better than Gareth Pugh and MAC for me. But in terms of artwork I am loving the new MAC partnerships with Beth Ditto and Iris Apfel.

Both celebs are creating limited edition make up collections for the brand and both campaigns look absolutely amazing!

Argentinian creative director Ariel Chiesa blends surreal imagery and geometrical patterns in her collage work. I am not generally a huge fan of photo-montage style stuff. Julia Frauche for Yelena Yemchuk & Dazed & Confused

Tribal inspired editorial ‘Super Natural’ for the January Issue of Dazed and Confused features some pretty innovative styling from fashion editor Karen Langley.

Without the on point photography from Yelena Yemchuk, it could be in danger of looking like model Julia Frauche just has a load of pound shop flowers stuck to her chest, but instead the whole shoot is creative genius and the first two images for me are amazing.

Helped along by incredible make up from Yadim and hair from Leonardo Manetti (Community NYC) Julia looks literally out of this world.

The images play perfectly with textures and patterns featuring the designs of Kenzo, Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent and Iceberg amongst others.

How cool are these?!?! I want one! I wish I had made them all myself so badly. These pictures do not do Fred Butler’s work justice. Her use of dressing up box brights to construct amazing arrangements of almost magical looking shapes have already caught the eye of Patrick Wolf Bishi and Sigor Ross and I can imagine nothing but HUGE things in her future.
